i found this surfing the internet
http://bbs.gfan.com/android-1720408-1-1.html
there is a link for a updade.pkg
can this help us with our bricked venue !!!!
I downloaded that and looked at it, it's just a copy of
http://mobileupdate.dell.com/PackageProductionLocations/Thunder_319_0_14.pkg
which is the only update out so far.
if that mirror stops working for whatever reason it is mirrored at
http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/Venue/Thunder_319_0_14.pkg
it's nothing new, just a repost of the old update

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1276484 This one runs smooth.
Hey guys,
Firstly, I am new, but I had a look around and I've seen similar issues to this, but I haven't seen this particular issue, so I hope I'm not posting a thread that's just like another one, and if I am, sorry for the annoyance, I honestly thought there wasn't one.
Okay, so I'm having trouble with a Galaxy S2 I9100
The trouble is, I rooted the phone, and then installed CyanogenMod 9 (The latest build that was available yesterday) everything was working great, but it's my mum's phone, and she decided she didn't like it because of the colours and apparently the calendar was boring. (I know, I know, that's silly )
So after having CM9 installed I tried to unroot and go back to the original rom (following the instructions that I found on (I can't post links yet, so) www dot galaxys2root dot com) EXCEPT where it says to install original firmware, it has a link to download version I9100XXLPQ, I instead downloaded and installed the exact build that was on my phone prior to installing CM9, which was I9100XWLP8
After that I got the great honour of watching the Samsung GALAXY S II logo flash for over an hour while the phone was trying to boot, so I gave up on that idea. I then put CM9 back on, to see if the phone was bricked or not, and CM9 booted up within a few minutes, and worked perfectly. So I tried the "unroot" method again, this time using the firmware version they suggested, and have come into the same problem. :crying:
What I'm wondering is, am I missing something? Or are the instructions faulty?
Any help will be much appreciated, thanks guys, don't mean to be a bother. :highfive:
You could try using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1650919.

is the phone turning on? I think you only get that error when your trying to flash a custom kernel with a locked Bootloader. try flashing stock kernel and you should be fine. try this guide too:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821750

I was able to backup my rooted stock ROM with trwp touch recovery. I think that's the closest we're gonna be able to get cause I left a voicemail and sent an email to Azend Corp an still have yet to hear anything. Here are the links I used to do it, if you're rooted just follow the second half in the first link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/che...t-dl701q-install-twrp-touch-recovery-t2980339
http://www.theandroidhow.com/2014/05/how-to-easily-backup-restore-rom-using-twrp.html?m=0
And when you download the easy magic tool, the 2.8.2.0.zip is the one I used. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the info. really appreciate it.

Dll701q Update
Digiland finally added the download to their website. I was able to install it and do a wireless update to the latest version and then rerooted my device.
That'd be great, if my touch screen digitizer hadn't shattered already. Now this thing isn't even useful as a paperweight, doorstop, or brick. A coaster, maybe.
