How can i install cmw? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

How can i install cmw on top of xrecovery? Is any .apk? because i tried other methods with no result
I have the mini pro

Wich ROM are you using ? Hope you have your device Rooted.
More info here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106146&highlight=clockwork+recovery
Still, the newest version can be installed only through the CWM itself, so i would suggest to look for an older version. BUT...if you want to install it through xRecovery you can try attachments from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106146&highlight=clockwork+recovery&page=9
I have not tested them...

Or easier just install it from the app made by D4rkn3ssys
Look for it on the apps and themes section or in the link on his signature
And if you want to download custom roms he also has an app to dowload the latest roms and hotfixes for them!

i'm sure he is on stock and the installer no longer supports stock 2.1

By the way I've done it manually by merging one file from xrec to cmw and then move cmw's files to system folder via root explorer.. thanx for your help although

Backup your 2.3.3 Install with xrecovery and flash your 2.1.1 Backup (presuming that you have done a backup of 2.1.1)
1. Search for the Keyboard.apk using Root Explorer
2. Copy the keyboard.apk file to you SD card
3. Re-store your 2.3.3 backup
4. Install the keyboard.apk using Root Explorer
If you haven't got a 2.1.1 backup then you are going to have to use SEUS to re-flash 2.1.1 and re-root and follow the instructions above.

its becoz froyocomb 1.5 using clockworkmod, not xrecovery i think..cwm and xrec have a difference update script coding so u cant flash xrecovery update.zip using cwm..u can ask the owner of the file u cant flash to make it flashable using cwm..orcan u attach the file that u cant flash..i will try to make it flashable for u..
I think in back up and restore it says restore through xrecovery

Just download one here, copy the one that you have installed on system/app to somewhere safe and overwrite system/app, is much easier, don't forget to fix permissions in xrec.
i want old market pls!!
i want old market because, the new one is slower then older

[Q] some doubts about cm7.1 by grif_07

I wanted to install cm7.1 by grif_07 but had to clear some doubts before trying it coz my primary reason for trying a custom rom is to enable apps2sd. otherwise I am happy with the samsung stock rom.
1. is every feature in the stock rom working perfecly especially like camera and video recording?
2. is apps2sd included in this rom? (important)
3. will I loose swype keyboard? but I believe I can restore it from my titanium backup. correct me if I am wrong.
and also I wanted to know is there some easy way to enable apps2sd in stock rom? without using a pc coz I dont have my pc working now
1) If you're looking for stock abilities , stick to stock .
2) No , but can be downloaded

Install manager by Alfred Neumayer from market is the perfect solution for app2sd on stock rom.
Swype needs some library files if I'm not wrong.

isnt it just like the link2sd app which I use now but I think that kind of apps dont move all the app data to sd something remains in the phone memory.

so it cant be restired with titanium backup?
You can try that. But if it doesn't work, download the beta. There was a huge update and I don't think you'll like to stick to the old stock version.
For a2sd functions for cm7 try s2e
Just register in the beta.swype.com site and the swype installer will be sent to your email account so you can download it with your phone, just install it and swype will be downloaded.
today I found this thread about cf-root kernel

is a modified kernel (not a rom).. it should be stated on the first line of the CF-Root thread.
i recommend you to use the app like scoffyburito said
swype beta is working fine in cm7 grif (dont forget it's still beta and RC )
at last I figured out how to correctly use link2sd huh...
dont think I need a custom rom now. next step would be some kind of ram optimization script then it will b a perfect droid...
What i have currently:
1.) Stock ROM
2.) CF Root
3.) CF Root dtapp2sd.zip
4.) V6 Supercharger (Memory optimiser)
Everything working beautifully.
Anywhere to get RAM cleaner ?
Hi, umm,
I flashed my ace to cm 7.1 this morning. It runs quite smooth. Although there's 1 thing from the stock ROM i seriously miss - RAM cleaner. I just can't live without it and no application can replace it. I managed to overclock it successfully to 902 MHz (stable) . I'd say CM 7 is awesome, it just needs the Clean RAM option. And if it is somewhere out there, can please some1 tell me where can I find it.
EDIT: 902 MHz isnt stable, just rebooted

download rom manager in the download roms section there will be some thing called gapps download it .
Boot int Clock work mod recovery menu and flash the zip file named gapps which you have just downloaded .
Boot your phone up and google play will be there along with other google apps necessary for your phone.

unroot the cm9 for lg e400
Hi guys,I've got a solution to unroot your phone after updating using cyanogenmod! :victory:
your phone will still have the cyanogenmod update, but it will no longer be rooted
evidence: installed antivirus on my phone, then I ran a scan,if it is rooted,it would say:- threat found(your phone had been rooted....etc...)
but i have a solution to unroot it
very nice and it worked!!
install Superuser.apk
then open it
it will ask you to install something,,just press ok
the it will say that there is another superuser app installed on the phone, and will ask if you want to remove it,jsut click ok
this will remove the other Superuser app on the phone(which I think you cant remove from Manage Apps
so,go to the Superuser app
then move down, and click Full Unroot>ok
this will completely unroot the phone
you're done
you may install AVG Antivirus app from playstore and run a scan
it is 100% working,try it
