Dear devs,
I have a little problem and hoped someone could help me out.
I have searched all over for a music player with a nice widget for smaller screens, and now I have finally find one.
Its actually the official gingerbread android music app(search the market for gingerbread music. Its actually (almost) the same one as provided in slades rom.
Only there is one problem:
The shuffle and repeat buttons dont fit on the small screen, but in the one from slades rom they do.
So my question is could someone recompile slades music with the widget from the on provided bellow? This would be freaking sweat cause than I can call my phone 'perfect'. I will attached both players below.
Thanks in advance!
Gr, Matthijs

Try these other apps instead:
PlayerPro (market, paid)
Google Music 3.0 (market, free)
Winamp (market, free)
TuneWiki (market, free)
Songbird (market, free)
RealPlayer (market, free)
DoubleTwist (market, free)
cubed (market, free,[its name is the cubed symbol])
and there's a lot more that I haven't thought of at the time of writing.
Best music player so far is PowerAMP...its worth the buy, still you can try demo from the market its time limited, dunno for how many days Best player from all of them, best performance, built in EQ, supports BT headsets got a separate widget pack that is ideal for the mini, easy to use, tag support, etc.. The best one for me and i have tried about 20 different music players...

Give it a try...
Yeah, the most recommended
Google music, simple but effective
Winamp is my choice..
do any of those support changing music tracks by using the headphone's button? because i really miss that. its annoying to have to unlock the phone to change tracks while i am running
Winamp does. You might need to check a box in the app settings. "control with headphones" or something like that. I like winamp, except it's a little heavy on the battery. The wifi-sync with desktop-winamp is great though!

hm.. will try it then. thanks!
I'd just like a music player with a full set of lockscreen controls.
left button: previous track
Middle: play/pause
right button next track
and a search bar on the screen itself to search songs in the library.
ALL lockscreen!!
Try UBERMUSIC! is a beta but is working pretty well is theme based and it is awesome
Astro Player is the best! It's playing music directly form a folder, making alphabetic playlist from songs in a folder and updates the playlist automaticaly when songs are added later inside the folder.
Real player perfect ^^
Does anyone know where I can find some custom lock/unlock sounds? I want to use them with Widgetlocker, since the stock sounds suck...but I just don't know where I can find some solid sounds for this. I found some .ogg files, but I couldn't preview them on my computer, and my phone randomly won't play them either...
Dude, use a audio converter and VLC to preview them. I had to manually convert Metal Gear Solid sounds from wav to ogg
Well either way, I got those sounds to work but I didn't like them anyway. I just don't know where to look to get more sounds to choose from

Okay, I have tried every music player on the market and I do not want to use any of them. I want to use the stock player so I can have the default lock screen controls/notification controls. The problem is, the equalizer sucks. But whenever I try to download third party market ones, they only work with m4a files. Ive tried all of them, even DSP manager. Can someone please tell me why? Or a fix? I cant seem to figure it out.
You can't seem to figure out not to double-post, either.
Anyone know of a decent app or mod to use videos as ringtones
ive tried the ones on the market but there really crap
I've tried hiding my custom tones that I've downloaded at various points in different places on my phone (T-Mobile Galaxy S4), inclding the external SD, but to no avail. For example, I added a high quality .mp3 clip of a old rotary phone ring to use as my ringtone, I put it straight into the ringtones system folder.
Very next time that I start up Google Music, there's new stuff from 'unknown artist," low and behold, the ringtone.
Super annoying, part of the reason I was paying for all access to use Google Music was to have a clean, auto-organized library. I don't want all of my sounds system-wide added to my library, and I can't seem to find any way to change the folders it searches, or even to remove it from the library within the app once it is added.
Anyone have any ideas?
Isn't their a setting that let's you chose what folders Google music can see. For instance, in poweramp you can go into the settings and unchecked the folders.

Not one that I can find. The app is definitely on the side of simple/sleek rather than full options, which is nice except when you need to change something like this.
i think changing MP3 to ogg will solve the problem and put it in system/media/ringtones
