I deserve zero credit. All the hard work was already done by the fellers at UOT.
Made with framework-res.apk + SystemUI.apk from CM7 Nightly #61 for Vibrant. Instructions in post 2. You are not allowed to download this .zip without reading and agreeing to everything in post 2.
Includes: (1) Segmented Circle Battery theme (2) Properly blacked out notification bar, (3) dark green overscroll glow, (4) flying transitions, (5) and dark green scrollbar

IF YOU MAKE ANY SIMILAR FILES VIA UOT, PLEASE UPLOAD THEM TO A HOST (OR LINK ME AND I'LL TRY MY BEST TO HOST THEM) AND THEN POST THEM HERE. This saves time, effort, and server resources for UOT. It also aggregates the links into 1 thread, making them more accessible.
Ok, decided to give the UOT (http://uot.dakra.lt/) a try. The website is a lot different than how it used to look a few months ago!
Battery theme is intended for black notification bars (you will not be able to see the white percentage atop a white notification bar!) includes the segmented circle battery and/or flying window animations, built on the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk of nightly 61. I have no idea whether or not it will work on 62+.
I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THIS WILL WORK FOR YOU AND STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO NOT FLASH IT. That being said, I hope it does work for you. Please back up your 'system/framework/framework-res.apk' and 'system/app/systemUI.apk' (just copy them and rename the copies as framework-res.apk.bak or something).
Make a nandroid backup in the all-too-likely case that everything goes awry. If you decide to ignore my warning against flashing this zip, you agree that I am in no way liable for anything at all. Whether it works or not, it has absolutely nothing to do with me and I will do nothing to assist you, nor am I obligated to do so.
I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH, DO NOT FLASH THIS zip IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING.
Instructions via UOT Kitchen
What to do with cooked zip file
Flash your downloaded file in recovery:
1. reboot into recovery.
*You should wipe your cache and Dalvik cache, but do not wipe data/factory reset* (added by OP)
2. choose "install zip from sdcard"
3. choose "choose zip from sdcard"
4. locate your file UOT-... .zip in SD
5. confirm "YES - install UOT ... .zip"
6. wait for script to finish
7. reboot phone
WARNING! Flash UOT file after you have first boot.
If you flashed new rom, boot up your phone first time
and after that reboot into recovery to flash UOT file.

EDIT: Confirmed that this also breaks the old TV-Turn off animation. Be aware.

Did you use the Segmented Battery theme + Flying Transitions? If so, I would suspect it's due to the flying Transitions. I don't personally use any screen-on/off animations or transitions, only window animations. I would suggest you use only the Segmented Battery Theme.
I only flashed it for the animations though, not interested in the theme or battery at all haha. I already have a battery mod with percentage. The animations were fun but now I have to fix that CRT thing, I love it and can't live without it.
EDIT: I am confirming that these flashes do NOT break the CRT animation. That was me doing something else apparently as when I did a factory reset and applied this, it works just fine. Can you make just the flying animations available as a flash?
I am also interested in a flying animation.zip

lol, I didn't plan on taking any requests, but I was in the same position that you guys are (i.e. no one making zips for my specific thematic preference).
Well, to minimize UOT's server usage, I'll take this request, but I usually won't. I'll have the zip in soon.
ALSO NOTE: Take the links in your second post (seg battery + flying animations down) as it's using the framework for nightly 40 which apparently is outdated in 47 now. It makes 46+ bootloop if used. The downloads in your first post are currently fine.
PS: Thx for flying animations!

The queue is almost always full during the daytime. This way, people don't HAVE to do it themselves and the UOT server gets a little more uptime.
does this compatible with nightly 55?

2. Manually Add Animations: should work for most roms
This process will be helpful for those wanting to mix and match animations from the folders. In fact, why don't you create your own mix and post it here so everyone else can appreciate your awesomeness. I'll add new mixes below if they come in.
-Simply get a hold of the anim folder with the animations you want to use and the framework-res.apk from the rom you're interested in modifying (/system/framework/framework-res.apk).
- Open up the framework-res.apk in 7zip (right click on it, and select "open archive").
- Drag the anim folder with the animations (which you can download below) into /res folder in your framework-res.apk. This will replace the files currently in /res/anim.
- Exit out of 7zip.
- You now need to push the modified framework-res.apk onto the phone. You can do this by placing the modified framework-res.apk in the root sdcard folder, and entering the following into terminal emulator on your phone or using ADB when the sdcard is mounted:
su
mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework
mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
reboot
If you're using terminal emulator, your phone will probably reboot before you finish re-mounting and/or typing reboot.
If you want to install the framework-res.apk that you just made in CWM recovery you can put it in this .zip make sure to put your framework-res.apk in the framework folder for this to work Your anim .zip
3.ninjamorph insatll find it in the market.
- create a new project of your framwork-res.apk.
- on your sdcard put the anim you want in this folder but first extract the folder out of the .zip first. (sdcard\androidthemes\workspace\framework-resapk\res\anim)
- make a copy incase you dont like the altered animations!!!
-replace the folder attached with the one in this zip
-go back to ninjamorph and finish project your phone should automatically reboot and there ya go animations are changed.
These will work with any rom and any phone enjoy
If you have any prob please post witch animation you used, that did not work so i can look into it.

The custom one. I had just installed .5 though so I just did a reinstall and I was fine. Maybe I'll try again later tonight. I really liked the animations in the doctored version of SC you posted originally. Maybe I'll just pull the /anim file and replace the one in my framework-res though. I didn't mean to sound ungrateful. I really appreciate the work you put into these. I just wanted to post a warning in case there is something specific to the AOSP Froyo that would keep this from working.
Edit: Just tried again in MM and it worked fine. I must have messed it up the first time. Thanks again for the awesome animations!

I am using your "Custom" theme, and it is working great, thanks.
I did also try "Flip 1" and even after reboot it seemed to do absolutely nothing but change my background, that might have been MM's fault who knows.

Have you guys seen the Gingerbread Screen Off Animation that looks like a TV turning off, with the line and a small flash (not sure exactly how to describe it). And when i say "screen-off" i mean by tapping your power button, not holding it in to power down, but to turn-off the screen and lock the phone.
It might be kinda stupid to some, but i think it's pretty neat and unique...
possible?

Thanks. I have been playing around mixing/matching the animations with some decent results. Is there a program that can convert just the xml files from to and from the binary and text formats?
I am using apk manager to compile/decompile the entire .apk file but that is kind of annoying.

First and foremost, before installing this ZIP through Tenfar's recovery, you MUST have GingerBlur v4 already installed!
GingerBlur files/instructions can be found HERE!
* Please DO NOT ask for assistance with rooting or installing GingerBlur in this thread, follow the link above and ask there!
**THIS HAS ONLY BEEN TESTED BY ME (ON MY OWN HANDSET) USING GINGERBLUR v4 (4.1.83 based)**
This theme is a compilation of graphics both original by me and from MANY other themes including:
Watermark'd
ShadowFrost

[EDIT] Running this with GingerBlur 4.5 - working great with NO issues..
Nice work man!! This looks great!!
Thanks! I JUST finished updating the OP with install instructions and I also attached a RAR file with the dock/icons to use if you wanted to make LauncherPro look just like it does in the screenshots.
Also, while I like red and/or blue themes, my wife likes purple so I'll probably be working on a GrapeBlur theme next.
If anyone tries pushing these files to a release other than 4.1.57 (such as Adeo or Gingerblur based on 4.1.52) I would be interested to know the results!
Looks great sir, thanks for the work.
Looks great man, thanks for putting this together. One question though, is it posible to make a blue theme as I love blue!
Thanks for great work! One question though, any errors during the deodexing process?

I had one error, I think it was on PhotoEditor.apk and PhotoEditor.odex. I've seen or used a built-in photo editor so I just removed those then restarted the deodex process for apps and it completed successfully.
just tried deodexing and yes, getting the same errors from the two apks as well. Ok thanks for the heads up will try again
Successfully applied the theme!
Found 1 bug. The clock in notification bar is black in mine instead of white. Any idea why?
This might be a nobrainer but, if I change the icon files inside the apk and then push it to my phone will it still work? In this way will I be able to make my own 4.1.57 themes?
hey.. i am sorry to ask this how am i suppose to install the grapeblur and the launcherpro.. i have no idea .. i am soo sorry to ask such a dum question.. but this is my first time with an android

You added a few icons to the /drawable-hdpi directory. Do you actually use them via the xml files, or are they just remains of whatever framework-res.apk you used?

yes
just get framework-res.apk, back it up, open it with winrar.
drag and drop the files, of the same name, that you would like to replace into the open winrar window. choose normal and 'add and replace', then close the window to save. replace the one in system/framework with your modified version.
Be sure to set the priviledges correctly after you copy into system/framework.
They should match the original, full read and user write.
Thats how I made this.
Edit: Every time I replace the framework-res.apk I lose my google, twitter, and facebook accounts. Anyone know why, all I'm doing is replacing images.

When you long press on any of the icons in the dockbar of LauncherPro you should see an option to change the icon. You need to have the icons/dock I attached saved to your sdcard ahead of time so you can choose "custom" for the icon and select the graphic you want to use.
For the dock you go to Menu -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Dock Background
* Pretty sure that's correct, but my phone is in on the charger in my bedroom where my wife is sleeping so I don't want to accidentally wake her up.
Hi there! I tried to mod the appearance of my phone using the UOT Kitchen. But am stuck after creating my UOT ZIP file. I assumed we have to flash the UOT Zip file using CWM Recovery mode. I tried that, and it fails to install the zipped files due to a "signature error". Any idea how to fix this?
The UOT Kitchen site does give a workaround to this problem, saying in case of error, we can manually replace the META-INF file zipped inside the UOT file with the Meta-Inf file which can be extracted from the phone's ROM. I am on KF3 Rooted, and extracting the KF3 ROM only gives some Bin files......so my problem is how to find the original META-INF file? Anyone knows this?
So no one has used the UOT Kitchen mods for their SGS II here? No answers?
Do you have a link to the UOT Kitchen thread?
Hi, Johncmolyneux. Thanks for your reply. Yes, now I have it and have posted my question there also. But that thread has 426 pages and am not sure how soon I'll get a reply there. So I'm hoping someone may see my query here also and reply. So waiting for a useful answer on either of these threads now. Thanks.
I installed a UOT Kitchen Mod, my 1st time
I probably did something wrong...unless they just don't work but I doubt that because one or 2 of the options are for SGS2 specific roms
Anyways, I got stuck in boot loop and had to restore everything
I might try again later when I have more info about it
i am using the uot kitchen online without any issues. uploading files that they need. always work like a charm!
I have used uot kitchen with both stock, vr and cm7, almost always worked perfect, had to untick generate preview for theme closer for cm7 though.

do it here mate
http://uot.dakra.lt/
and upload
framework-res.apk
SystemUI.apk
twframework-res.apk
pick what ever u want...if your rom supports costum bootanimation u can do that 2. but the lockscreens aint working anyway enough to make the ROM diferent
as said a few post up; always upload framework-res.apk , systemUI.apk and twframework-res.apk when generating a theme with UOT Kitchen.
Also DO NOT forget to always wipe cache and dalvik-cache in CWM prior to apply the generated zip (wipe cache, dalvik-cache then flash the zip, and after that reboot ).
a few selected set of icons sometimes not apply properly with our SGS2 (kalagas mainly is a bit tricky for that )
if manually correcting the unchanged images is outside of your possibilities, ask in the UOT thread, they are generally really helpfull and Mendozinas respond generally really quickly
as Hunteres said, lockscreen don't work for us, as Quick settings in the notifications tab(that is for Sense Rom) everything else works generally like a charm
All done yesterday itself. There was only a small issue of disabling signature verification and Mendozinas replied pretty quickly. Other than Boot Animation, Lock screen everything else works on a Stock KF3 Kernel. You don't even need to wipe the cache/Dalvik cache before flashing. It's optional & just a precaution.
I just created a theme using the UOT Kitchen. Not all options can be used since they don't yet support qhd resolution, but that is supposed to be fixed soon. I was able to create a theme with the following elements: digital battery indicator (10% increments), Dr. Droid icons, Rudolf screen animations (great feature), Ubuntu font and Tesseract boot animation. Note that the boot animations won't fill the screen because they don't support qhd yet, so pick one that will always be black around the edges to look right. Also, I wasn't able to get some icon packs to flash, so I'm not sure which ones will work other than the one I used.
When you make a theme with boot animation, be sure to select the Galaxy S GB ROM. Also, when you upload your files, you have to select amend scripting and have Patch9 selected. There's no need to select the theme preview option for theme chooser since our ROM doesn't have this.
I'm running a rooted, locked stock ROM with cwm bootstrap recovery. You must be rooted and have some type of recovery. Be sure to wipe cache and delvik cache before flashing and nandroid a backup before you flash just in case something goes wrong. Happy themeing!
Edit:
Here's a link to my theme described above.

According to UOT, they say:
WORKAROUND for recovery error (Status 0):
1. Unzip your ROM and find
META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary file
2. Put this file in the UOT zip (overriding UOT's file)
But would you know how to unzip and find that binary file?

Amend scripting is apparently no longer supported by my version of CWM (v5.0.2.7-photon3). Any ideas? Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but it seemed preferable to do this than start a new one.
These are cool animations , metamorphs packages made by Poontab. Use zipthemer to flash them. Instructions and original post below. Work on our ICS roms using zipthemer. All of them look fantastic.

I must be stupid...because I am having trouble with the "stupid-proof" instructions xD
Just to clarify, step 5...you select what exactly? xD

You need to update edify script according to rom you have flashed on your phone. Step 5 is just that. Open supreme, go to menu and update edify then point it to your Rom zip on your Intel our external card where ever you have it saved.

Getting late and I have to work in the morning but I will put something together about how to use zipthemer. I have used it on several phones and once you get it working, you can do a bunch of things with it. Create themes, custom boot animations, revert.zips. You can also take pieces from different themes and package theme all together into one update.zip with an undo.zip just in case. I'll put it together in the morning.
I just figured it out...
Go to Zip Themer
Click on +Theme
Click on the green arrow and navigate to the zip file you want to use
Click on build it! then select if you want it to create a revert flash able zip
After it's done building the flashable file go into recovery mode and flash the file zipthemer created (it's not in a folder).
Fix permissions
Reboot

Bingo.
It also works with Metamorphs too (if anyone needs some, I have a ton-just PM me). Say you want to revamp your whole status bar.
All you do it hit the +Theme and find your metaporphs (in zip form), and 1 by 1 add them in (*tip if doing this make sure the status bar itself it #1, if you are changing transparency or color. Then everything will build on top of it).
Now that you have all the morphs in there, click Build It (it is always prpbably the best idea to make the Undo.zip as well, just in case).
+Output just tells Zipthemer where to put the finished product.
Flash into recovery and install (I always wipe cache too). Don't like the finished product, reboot into recovery and flash the undo.zip and no harm no foul.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong, but no matter what steps I take, when I flash the file created by zipthemer, nothing gets changed. It still has the regular animation that came stock on the rom.
Same here I don't know if its the Chaos animation that is similar to the stock one possibly? I did exactly what he said and im getting same stock animation, once i get home i'll try to download another one.

I was thinking the same thing with chaos, so I tried Rubik, but it was a no go also.

I have tried most of them and they work. I don't know why it wouldn't work for you guys? Post your framework-res.apk or what rom are you using, may be i can add them for you.
I will give you framework once i get home, also where is it located?
and I am using ICS Passion, no idea about the other guy.
