We have more firmware right here in the firmware threads and most of the time we have them before Samfirmware so I don't get why people keep sending people off to another site when they can get what they want in the dev forum.

There's a new release out for the XEU phones: XWKF3/XEUKD1/XXKE7. The modification date shows 2nd July, so it's fairly new. Still only 2.3.3 though.

Ok, I get that flashing a firmware from samfirmware.com can change your CSC code.
So far I've been very careful to choose only OXX/TPH ROMs as this is the closest match for my phone (unlocked, Portuguese edition) - but Kies still somehow knows that my firmware is unofficial.
What the heck does Kies check to discover whether or not the firmware is official or unofficial? anyone have any tips? is it the IMEI number?
Is there any other problem that can come from flashing a firmware that doesn't match whatever internal value for CSC that the phone thinks it is?

Sorry for a bit offtopic but how to do for downloading at Twitter?
Well, just installed to test (CM7.1 will probably be back on my SGA soon though!) and it does indeed seem to resolve the Virgin (and Orange and T-Mobile UK?) SMS with 3G problem. Sent about a dozen now and all have gone where previously I would maybe get 2 before it stopped working. Don't want to be hasty but it's definitely looking promising. Cheers! (",)
Same here - seems to have resolved my problem sending SMS with packet data switched on. T-Mobile UK BTW.

You can either get them from samfirmware.com, or look up checkfus.
As for that thread you linked above, a lot of file hosting sites were shut down that many devs on this site use. So you'll have to be patient for them to find new hosting sites.

Again, since the hosting sites many people used to host files are shut down, a LOT of links don't work.
It sounds like you are looking for a carrier branded firmware, but you didn't mention who your carrier is. As far as I know, Cosmote is a major carrier in Romania.
If you are looking for an UNbranded firmware, you may have more luck. Those are more common, and more likely to be hosted on a site that hasn't been shut down yet.

CSC is country specific settings. You can flash that separately after you flash the whole firmware I linked above. (which is PDA: XWKI4, and PHONE: XXKI1, but CSC: ENKI1)
But you may not have to flash the CSC.
Intratech had a whole list of the CSC files in his official firmware thread, but like I said before, with multiupload being shut down, you're going to have a hard time finding files that are still hosted somewhere.

I can't answer this; I don't know. Did you flash any non-stock kernels? If you did, then your binary counter increased. You may have to use a USB jig to put the counter back to zero. (please google this if you don't know - there have been hundreds of threads on it)
If the binary counter is 1 or more, they will probably refuse warranty coverage, and will probably then charge you for any service.

I meant that if I have the stock kernel and fe XWKI4 Nobrand however, so in theory no one that when I mount, europe the guarantee is no longer valid?

This is still pretty hard for me to understand, I'm sorry.
But really, there are no guarantees either way, once you've flashed anything to your phone. The only way to absolutely guarantee warranty service is to not flash anything to your phone, and keep it away from water.
The best you can do if you've flashed anything to your phone, is to flash back to a stock firmware, reset the counter, and hope for the best.

I need some help. I'm trying to go back to stock on my GS3. It is unbranded and I flashed this ROM: United Kingdom 2012 August 4.0.4 I9300XXBLG8 I9300OXABLG8
Whenever I connect to Kies it says that this device firmware is not upgradeable through Kies. Then I put this code in my dialer, *2767*4387264636# to check the product code and nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong here? FYI, this device was bought from someone who was given this device when they were sent to the olympics as a Samsung blogger.
Thanks for any help that y'all can provide.
I am a newbie to ..
But i think just download the stock rom for s3 on update.samsung.c*m or so ..
Find your regional ..
And download odin for window / mac
Just flash it ..
And wipe cache and factory reset
I think just those.. i do it once and succses .. lol

The last possibilities are sending an e-mail to samsung or visiting a samaung service center or flash fw via odin but i would be carefull if i would flash it via odin because your gb fw is branded with EE right and the JB isn't so you could have problems with sim card detection or mobile internet.
Or you wait for one to two month for more jb fw for ace II because there are every 2-4 weeks one to two new JB fw .
So using Odin isnt recommended?

These are all official firmwares, so no worry about that.
I've been trying to download since last night, those servers they use suck big time. Lots of crashes.
Is there any noticeable difference in this ? I know it Lollipop but is it no big deal ?

Try this : http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/55177/A700FXXU2BOH1_A700FXEF2BOH1_XEF/
Hey, generally sites that host firmwares tend to be quite ****ty so i guess it would be better if you did a Google search of the firmware you want to download . When I tried to download the french lollipop update from sammobile host I was getting ultra low download speeds so I searched the firmware name and went to another site that had better bandwidth to download. I just haven't installed the update yet as I want to be sure that it can get rooted. Sadly I cannot provide any links for you atm cause I am not home but when I'll get the chance I will pm you .

I used Odin3_v3.10.7 , and it worked great with the previous 5,02 (2015-08-01) from sammobile
Got the latest over OTA
Are you running the A700F , or do you have another model ?

No, I have the A700YD, it's a HK model. I figure that's the problem. The crazy part is that my model isn't even listed in the SamMobile firmware site.
