Well ive seen that they have a lot of themes but there are quite a few ROMs that ive seen that look really good. but im not sure if they can be ported. But since they do have hardware similiarities i dont know if it would be that difficult. but i may be wrong.

Well jusada you have to take a look into this mattervery soon as BehradGH is working pretty fast and hope we can have asop soon.
porting miui wont be the same as compiling cm or aosp as its closed source. need to decompile and recompile everything one by one. moreover originally its only for armv7 with hdpi, will be tedious job to port to ace which is armv6 and mdpi
Anyways , if it's AOSP you want then it's AOSP you'll get
KUDOS EmoBoiix3 for providing AOSP. Thanks mate in advance.

No, its going to be alot harder. But the new kernel is the first step. Im gathering information as we speek about the porting. I believe miui has been ported to other armv6 mdpi devices so thats probably my first port of call. But im not expecting anything to happen soon. I'm really new to this and am fumbling around in the dark a little. But i'll do what i can.

The current boot.img that we are using doesn't boot (after changing a significant amount of files) , so maybe we might need to use a different kernel .

I see, i know you can use aosp kernal for cm and miui. But i wasnt sure if it worked vise-versa, plainly it doesnt. To be fair, of what i can find out there is no true miui port to mdpi anyway, greenmods came closest with the galaxy 3 and even that isnt a real port. If anyone can correct me on that i would be greatful.

I'm guessing we need to try Ketut's CM kernel......
I hope it works because we don't really know how to make a kernel

[Q] Would this i9100 theme work on i777 ROMs?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334922
Does anyone know if this would work on i777 ROMs?
I can make a case in my head for it working and not working. If the apps are are compatible, and the SystemUI and frameworkres are the same, it should work, but I'm not sure. Anyone have more experience than me with this?
Probably best to use a ported rom with hellraiser and then add the theme...

You should mention that then. People on bml could brick their device from not using jt's
Fixed cwm for converting to mtd. Also even when people convert they usually do it with jt's cm7. So this would be for people already on mtd.
Your original post needs to be carefully thought out. A lot of developers say they take no responsibility for peoples devices in their op. But behind the bs they take every measure to prevent such things, so in fact they take full responsibility in preventing mishaps.
That said, if you brought the full Touchwiz experience to mtd. Take this pat on the back. But don't get a big head.

hmmm...lol...was reading the development threads to see how easy it would be for a noob at dev-ing like my self to do it. The only factor that bothers me is not knowing the ins and outs of linux/ios desktop software.
Sounds and looks difficult. The Spen stuff is dependant on Touchwiz. So that must mean they somehow got all the touchwiz dependencies working in an AOSP based ROM, without needing an actual stock ROM

It would be awesome though, wonder why the links don't work anymore.
So I reached out to Gerrett the Dev who put together the Vengeance Note Edition MIUI Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688646). He said he might be up for the challenge but he needs to know the differences between the International and ATT note from a Dev stand point, and will need volenteers to test the rom and send log cats. I expressed my interest in offering my help and I sure others will join in, but I just need some help from one of our Devs to turn to when he has questions about our device. Any Devs interested in helping out?
