So today is the first day I am seeing a new icon on my Tab 10.1 that says "battery fully charged. Unplug charger". Its stuck around even after the tab has been unplugged and I can't see a way to dismiss it. Any ideas? Its weird, since getting my tab on launch day and charging it every night, this is the first I am seeing this message.
Reboot it?

Good point. That got rid of the indicator and alsocaused the battery to drop from 100% to 90%. My wifi setting were all screwed up and I had to force close a samsung service a few times after the wireless started working again. Guess we'll see how it goes tomorriw morning.
This happens to me quite frequently. When it happens, as you probably know, the tablet will say the battery is fully charged, regardless of the actual level of charge left. I avoid it by turning off my tablet while it's charging and avoiding turning it on until after I've unplugged it.
i too have the same problem.
When I first got the phone it wasnt a problem but has become one of the annoying problems with the phone (otherwise it is excellent!). The notification becomes stuck in the tab and there is a permanently displayed icon indicating that the battery is fully charged (when after some time it often isnt). Very annoying indeed. The only way to get rid of it I have found is to reboot the phone but that is not practicable. I would be interested in a solution if someone finds one.
I confirm the same issue. battery full notifiation won't go away without rebooting. Gs2 running perfect otherwise. Is there a way to disable battery notifications all together ?
Bump
Not sure if this has been corrected yet. I'm also using a Samsung device. It's a refurb Facinate (poor me) but with Froyo. The 100% Info "Battery fully charged. Unplug charger" remains after unplugging the phone. Very annoying because it only displays the battery as full until it warns that the phone is about to run out. I've also noticed that it seems to be affected by the usb cable(data or only power) that I use, but it's still pretty erratic. I've tried everything I can find in the web, except a factory reset. Is this a Samsung bug?
kidager
I really don't want to be that guy that revives a thread after 3 years or so :silly:
But I still have this problem with no solution
After unplugging the charger the notification is stuck in there until rebooting. I also have problems connecting my samsung to the laptop, again until rebooting.
So, any solution ?

Hey guys, hope some one can help me.
Firstly, this all started a week after I installed the MIUI ROM. I started noticing that when my battery was fully charged the screen would start flickering unless I took the charger off, other symptoms included loss of battery life and continuous green fully charged notification on the top left corner asking me to remove charger, and even when that's done, the notification wouldn't disappear.
I then flashed a stock ROM hoping that might fix things, but it didn't. When turning the device on, I also get a recharging battery icon that blinks with a drained battery icon and a yellow exclamation sign with a thermometer. Check video below:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_SXjEw2wyU
As for the screen flickering when fully charged issue, I stopped using the included Samsung charger and used one my Atrix chargers to see if I get the same flickering, oddly enough I didn't. So it would seem the Samsung charger is to blame.
It's really annoying me now, I get about a 4 and half hours a day before the phone completely dies on me, and that's without even using the device. If I get to work at 7am, the battery will be dead by 11:30am.
I noticed others have had similar problems although not the same, and this hasn't been addressed before, here's links to users with similar problems:

Hey, guys!
I've had my I9100 for almost 3 months now. Everything was working fine till last week. I was charging my phone, left it overnight and when I woke up in the morning, unplugged it and it didn't turn on. Thought the phone bricked by itself but when I connected a home-made jig I have it turned on but when it booted the battery was 0%.
Did some research around here and connected it to a 1A charger and left it charging (phone off) for an hour and that fixed the problem. But Two days ago, every time I use my phone and the battery discharges till 60%, the screen flickers a tiny bit and the phone turns off. When I try to turn the phone on, it gets to the booting animation and then it turns off. Sometimes it would boot and the battery indicator would show a charge of 13% or even 1%. It turns on and stays on if I connect it to the charger and let it charge but when I unplug it, it would do the same when it gets the 60%.
The only way I've made it go under 60% charge is if I wipe the batt stats when is charged and when I re-charge it, goes back to the 60% issue. I've been thinking about buying a new battery but I'm not sure if is the phone or the battery and came here to ask.
Will try to borrow a battery from a friend today and see if the problem persists.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Edit: I'm running Jellybam 7.2.0
Goto stock and use it for couple of days.

hi, i am actually facing the same problem as you. i got my i9100 for around 3 months now. 1 month ago i updated to stock jelly bean 4.1.2. it was only until last week when the battery issue surface. i had my phone charged to 100%. switched it off for the night. when i attempt to switch it on again in the day, the phone would not start up and reflects that its battery level is 0%. for subsequent days i have observed the following:
First the phone can never be fully charged. it will reflect that the charge is complete and request to remove the charging cable.
Secondly, i realized that when i removed cable, the notification to remove the cable did not disable.
Lastly, when i restart my phone, the battery level will drop to 70 - 80% range. Currently i am suspecting its a software issue. trying to install a updated stock rom now.
One more issue. whenever i switch off my phone, the giant battery logo will keep appearing in the middle of the black screen. i will not be able to switch on the phone unless i enters its recovery mode and select "reboot now manually". maybe you can verify if you have the same issue with your faulty battery? i am currently trying to troubleshoot the root of my battery problem.
any help is appreciated!

Your battery is probably damaged too, since everything was fine for almost 3 weeks, as you mentioned. If it was a software issue, I guess it would have caused problems since you updated the phone. I'd recommend you to check if your battery is swollen: take the battery off, put it on a flat surface and try to spin it. If it spins a lot, then it is swollen and you need a replacement.
Hope this helps
Hey guys and gals
this is my first post here. although a lot here is about rooted devices with custom ROMs, I hope you can help me out - you sure have a lot of expertise here compared to many other forums.
For the past two days I've been running into some of the weirdest problems with my Galaxy S2. Before i go into detail, here is the summary:
1. Screen time-out doesn't work while device is not plugged to a charger or computer
2. Notification shows 100% charge for a very long time (hours after heavy usage)
3. Not sure if charging actually works
4. Booting up seems to fail when not connected to a charger
it started yesterday when I noticed the phone light up and say it was charging. The problem is it wasn't - it was in my pocket.
Then I noticed that the screen didn't time out. I changed the setting, nothing - it remained on. I could push the power to make the screen turn off and on again but it wouldn't time out itself.
The charging info went away... at some point. I left it to charge over night and in the morning it indeed showed 100% in the notification bar. The problem is it remained 100% for A LONG time. In the settings menu under the battery it says it has been running on batter for 0 secs and showed 100% charge. For hours... There were no info about any apps or function using the battery. that part was clear.
Then i discovered that the screen time out problem goes away while connecting the charger or via USB to a PC. Then it times out. As soon as i unplug the charger it never times out....
I'm actually not sure if the charging works. Indeed it shows charging but sometimes it magically reaches 100% rather quickly.
Because I suspected a battery fault I used another battery. let it drain completely and then tried to recharge. Can't - when booting it shows a battery icon with question mark and then goes to show that the battery is 100% charged. Then the question mark and then 100% again. Seems to be in some sort of loop.
I've done the factory reset, I had a new firmware installed via Odin just in case. The problem still remains.
Booting the device seems to be an issue and only work with charger or USB cable attached. Ot it will be in that "what battery" and "100% charge" cycle...
I've searched high and low today but couldn't find anyone with the same problem.
Have any of you an idea? Really down't want to get a new phone! Seems to be a very bad month going on because a few weeks ago I had really serious issues with my brand new hybrid camera which i have to buy ... again! sold it for parts for pocket money....
Any help would be really appreciated! thanks!
That's really strange....try getting out the battery, charge it to max va an external charger,or borrow a friend's Galaxy S2.Leave the phone withou battery for an hour. Then when you put it in,go to recovery, and "wipe battery stats"(Root it if it's not).See if that works.

How long have you had the phone? The usb flex cable has issues over time. A symptom of this is the charging when not connected to the charger.
If it is this issue the part is cheap (around 5$ I believe).
So I've run into an bizarre problem today, one that I've never seen before.
My mum's S2 was having problems charging last night with the screen not showing the charge animation. So we decided to charge my S2's battery in my phone, then put it into her phone. It worked, but the battery was draining really quickly. I turned off the phone, decided to charge her battery in MY phone. Then I put her original battery back into her phone. But even though I haven't turned the phone on, it starts heating up within minutes! So anyway, I've tried plugging her phone into the charger again, but it seems like something is taking up the battery to quickly to charge it - even while the phone is completely off! I've even checked the processes running when the phone was on, but there seems to be nothing there causing the drain.
So anyway the next thing I'm going to try is a factory reset (this is currently running on the stock ROM), and then attempting the flash another ROM to see if that will work.
Also another thing to note - while i was backing up her phone, I had it plugged in to my computer and after leaving it for a bit to do some other stuff, I hear this high pitched beep coming from the phone saying something like "Battery temperature too high. Charging stopped." Really really strange.
Anyway, if anyone has run into this problem before or has any other ideas, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi XDA, wondering if anyone can help me out with an annoying problem.
I have a Galaxy Note Edge. Within about 8 months I've been experiencing random shut-downs.
Thinking it was battery related, I started there. The problem persisted. Thinking it was perhaps a wake-lock issue, I did a factory reset including cache clear, still have the problem.
Basically when I'm using the device it will randomly shut down. I could be checking my email or taking a pic, out of nowhere poof, off it goes. Battery will still say an arbitrary amount, today it was at 64%. But when I plugged it in, with the device off it said 0%.
I notice this happens often. If I charge my phone overnight it will stop charging at maybe 70%. Poor/wrong calibration?
Here's the thing though, even if the phone says 0% after shutting down, if I try to turn it on it will go into a boot loop for..well infinitely. Hours. So there's clearly still power. If I try to use my battery bank to charge it, it still won't get past the boot loop until I connect it to at least a 2.1amp charger.
I'm at a loss. There doesn't seem to be any obvious hardware issues. I've been scraping the interwebs for a good year but nothing has helped and I just live with it.
Running Android 5.1.1, stock, no dumb unoptimized apps. Someone please save my sanity? Cheers! E>
