I have my view set to enable sleep mode at night. In the morning after the sleep mode has finished, the notification status in the task bar and there is no option to clear the notification. The only way to remove it is to disable sleep mode and then enable it again. Anybody else have this happening?
Sent from this here Evo!
My sleep mode works fine.
Try changing the off time to something different.
Same happens on my Flyer, so I switched this mode off.
I usually have it on power plug over night, so this setting wouldn't be in effect anyway, would it?

Hello and Happy New Year to everybody!!
I recently started using my Hero as an alarm. Thus, while I am sleeping I set it to airplane mode so that the alarm rings. When I wake up it always shows a notification that the time zone has not been set. Rebooting the phone is the only way to fix it, except -of course- if I manually set it... Could this be a bug?
Anyone having trouble with BLN and deep sleep?
As soon as I get a notification and my button lights comes on my phone kicks in a "200mhz"-state and refuses to enter deep sleep until I dismiss that notification.
When I disable BLN then deep sleep works as normal even if I have some unread/unanswered sms/calls.
To test try this with BLN activated.
1. Open CPU Spy and press menu, then "Reset Timers"
2. Close CPU Spy
3. Turn off your screen
4. Trigger your Button Lights by SMS/Call/Mail or whatever.
5. Leave your phone alone with those nice button lights on for a couple of minutes.
6. Turn your screen on and reopen CPU Spy
Are you getting any deep sleep? I only get a few seconds and rest is 200mhz.
To test without BLN do this:To test try this with BLN activated.
1. Open CPU Spy and press menu, then "Reset Timers"
2. Close CPU Spy
3. Turn off your screen
4. Leave your phone alone for a couple of minutes.
5. Turn your screen on and reopen CPU Spy
Now deep sleep is working as normal.
Anyone can confirm?
Just got one tester in another thread and he says that he is getting deep sleep with BLN activated.
Yes, that is normal.
Deep sleep needs to be prevented in order to keep power fed to the lights as without power they wouldn't blink.
Check this thread, page 2, for this subject:

I have the problem, my A70 is not waking up from Deep Sleep anymore.
After a while with screen off I press the power button and the screen stays black.
Only a reset brings the device back to life.
As far as I know it is a known problem, but search does not work.
Is there any solution for it?
How can I deactivate Deep Sleep permanently?
I only have the Deep Sleep On/Off option in Energy Options but there should be an option where the time before the device goes to deep Sleep can be adjusted, but I don't find it.
Disabling Deep Sleep with the button mentioned above does not help.
With most it is connected to the display light dimmed below 30%.
There is no time setting for deepsleep.
Is there an app for automatic display dimming?
Or an App, where the settings can be set so that 30% on Archos equals 0% on the App (100% == 100%)?
One more THing:
I installed the App Wake Lock:
https://market.android.com/details?id=eu.thedarken.wl&feature=search_result
I set the wake lock to Partial Wake Lock, and got a Freeze.
Is this normal?
I thought Wake Lock should prevent going to deep sleep?
It would be interesting to check whether the device is actually not turning on, or simply not turning the LCD on. One way to check would be to perform some action that plays a sound or something.
It would also be interesting to see if you can connect via adb and see what events, if any, show up in the log when you press the power button.
Could you explain, what is adb?
Never heard of it
See this: http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/adb.html
This is probably fixed with an option in SuperDim 1.51dev2. See this thread.
Hi
Im looking for an FREE alarm clock that will automatically turn on aeroplane mode and switch off all radios when activated and then return back to normal when the alarm goes off
adyclock is close but once the phone goes to sleep aeroplane mode turns off and i can call my phone.
Im assuming aeroplane mode saves a noticeable amount of power
Have you tried Tasker or Gentle Alarm, I know GA can activate flight mode if the battery gets low. GA will also talk to Tasker so you should be able to get it to do what you want (although I haven't tried it and Tasker can be complex).
Cheers,
Nova
If it is not a necessity to have the alarm to do it, have a look at timeriffic; it does all you want for power saving and more...
thanx but im after free apps
I only want to have it in aeroplane mode when i go to sleep and no other time, so i assume seems logical to have it with an alarm clock

This is an app from China 2.2.2 of ME525, 2.3.4&2.3.6 can also use it, it's name is ProfileSetting, it can automatically turn on airplane mode and switch off all radios, but it has no function of alarm clock, you can set another alarm clock and this app at the same time, it's in chinese but it also has english language, i use it, it can't be installed, use RootExplorer to move it to system\app, care of the permissions
Hello all, I have trigger setup to automatically turn on my lockscreen with a pin when I plug it in to charge, as sometimes people get nosey while you sleep. I was wondering if either app or perhaps some other one has a way to automatically turn off the lock screen notifications at the same time the phone locks, and then when my other trigger to disable the lock screen (when my phone connects via bluetooth to my truck) it could turn them back on?
Anyone know if this is possible?
Thanks!
