I swear it says please change a battery. I got stuck in hboot when i tryed to unroot from DasBamf 2.0 GingerBread. I flashed the downgradepgi05mg found in the unrevoked 3 click root method folder and now i cant flash anything because it wont charge the battery. Should i buy a more powerful usb charger like the one for the iPad or should i just keep asking for suggestings? Im guessing it wont charge since it can barely keep up with the screen being on full brightness
Try charging with the phone off for a couple hours. BUT, if you have that security warning you have bigger problems. I don't know how to explain to you how to fix it for sure but don't freak out. I would let it charge turned off for at least a couple hours and then jump on andirc chat in the #thunderbolt room and look for someone to walk you through it. I believe it happens when you try to flash a signed RUU that is older than the version you are currently running. Like I said tho I don't know the steps exactly to fix that but i THINK you can. Link to andirc thunderbolt chat is in the sticky root thread.

mine used to do that, id just keep trying to restart the phone til it powered up. make sure the img file is not on the sdcard

thats exactly wut i did, you know the old ruu thing, it said main version is older and i started freakin out, i almost had a scaregasm! i found a newer ruu and i cant flash it thanks to this problem.it wont charge because the second i try to charge it, it turns on automatically, it would normally take me the clockworkmod recovery but it takes me to the hboot crap, i just want to solve the charging problem, no suggestions on how to unstick my bottom from hboot please.
Find someone with a tbolt, use their phone to charge your battery or buy a dock with spare battery charger.
Yeah, you will need an external means of charging the battery. This thread ->
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1008824
Explains the security warning and how to fix it in some cases, BUT it depends on what RUU you flashed. What version number was the RUU that caused all of this?

yer a genious, but i know no one with a tbolt and *GASP* ....... i will just buy an extra battery, they usually have about half charge and its not like i didnt need one in the first place, hopefully i can fix my phone. do you know how bad it is with all the annoying sprint evo commercials and the iphone comercials and the tablet commercials, and no calling? didnt tghink so
You are having tbolt withdraws. Step back, deep breath. It'll be ok. Go to Verizon, I'm sure they'd even let you do it there...the commercials mean nothing to me because I know Sprint and ATT are full of ****.

uhmmmm pretty sure unrevoked hasn't released anything for the thunderbolt yet.
So I would assume your flashing the wrong file. Or didn't follow the unroot guide in XDA dev.

well my usb broke last night im at 20% battery and want to take it in to sprint i found the unroot method but it involves using command to get it to s-on and i cant without usb
any other way
think i could just restore my stock sense back up on 20% battery(without dieing) and flash a new splash img and hope for the best because it its a hardware porblem
Download adb wireless. Its all done wirelessly so you wont need a usb to do your commands.
Temari x Shikamaru
is 20% battery enough to do this commands
Yup. It only takes about 2 mins to do s-on.
Temari x Shikamaru
ya i see the s-on is a quick thing but running the pc86img update to flash the stock software looks like its going to take awhile
and im iffy if its gonna die in between
wait so how can i run abd wireless if you need root and the process is to run the pc86img, then use fastboot to set s on

Oh snap. Guess you cant. If your returning for a replacement, run the pc86img.zip and you should be good. If you see superuser app just uninstall it through titanium backup.
Temari x Shikamaru
Ok. Well, since it isn't related to root, it really shouln't be an issue as far as them fixing the USB. I would maybe even call in to the repair center or the local sprint store and explain the problem to see what they say. You dont have to give them your info if you dont want to obviously. Just tell them the situation and see what they have to say. Chances are, if your store is cool like mine, they are rooted too and really wont care.
Now, if you really want to be safe, you can always get a cheap external battery charger, charge the battery, then you will have a full battery to S On, then take in for replacement.
The above guy has the solution. You don't need S-On since they will most likely (99.99% chance) they will not check for it.
Just buy an external battery charger, charge battery, flash stock rom/nandroid. Remove superuser from /system/app/ and take it in. When they fix the USB port, you can download the superuser app and you're done!
I installed an incorrect Rom over and Incorrect Bootloader and it resulted in the Flyer freezing and not being able to do anything. I let the battery drain down completely and when I went to charge it up again all it does is the red light flashes on and off which I guess means it's not charging.
I can get into the bootloader by holding power and the bottom volume button but it says there is not enough battery power to do anything. Is there anything I can do?
I tried putting the PG41IMG.ZIP file onto the SD card and booting but that doesn't seem to have achieved anything either? Is there anything I can do I'm at my wits end with this now.
Any help appreciated. Thank you.
Wait for help from Globaltron on this forum. He's seen it all before. He can get you on IRC and walk you through unbrick procedures.
In the main time search through his treads on reverting to stock.
Leave your device on the HTC wall wart charger. When the boot image and recovery are messed up, charging is affected and will be very slow or possibly not work at all.

Thanks Globatron, However I have finally managed to fix this problem.
I left the Flyer plugged into the Wall even though it was flashing to show it wasn't charging for about 24 hours, the light still continued to flash however when I booted into Fastboot and tried to flash a honeycomb RUU.exe it let me do it this time without the 'Not enough battery power' message that I had been getting.
Lesson learned, I shall not fiddle anymore.

That's great news. Don't worry about fiddling with it, just be sure you have it fully charged and that you know the full procedure for what you need to do.
Same situation
I keep getting the low battery error and am stuck in the same state you were. I let the damn thing charge for two days and the LED was green. The battery is as charged as it is gonna get.
I tried on multiple machines, multiple VM's, and same result.
The RAW RUU won't load with fastboot.
Question, what state did you have the view in when you ran the RUU? What I mean is were you at the boot menu in fastboot mode or what?
HTC Flyer won't boot completely, please help!

I have a similar situation to JussieXo. I own an HTC Flyer and recently purchased a 2nd used flyer for a birthday present for my son. The used flyer was running CM9. I thought "no problem", I rooted my flyer I will just use the RUU and reinstall the stock software. I started with a full charge battery. All didn't go well, after several hours and trying many ideas on several forums I can only boot to the white HTC screen. I have now drained the battery to the point that it would not turn back on last night. This morning it would come back on and the red power light has stopped flashing and remains solid (good news!). I have left it powered off and recharging for now. My question is can you help me get past the white HTC screen. I have read this and several other posts. I see you wanted JussieXo to download teamviewer...I have done this, if you could PLEASE help me get this working it will make one little boy and his mother very happy for his birhtday.
It is currenlty rooted using revolutionary with S-off, hboot is 6.11.1111. When I am in the HBOOT menu and I select recovery it will only load to the white HTC screen.
Try following the Globatron instructions to go from HC hboot back to GB hboot. If you had cm9 I think that was on the HC hboot and you need to be back on GB to run the RUU files to return to stock GB.

Thanks schalmers, I will look at this. I am currently leaving it on the charger powered off. The LED has stopped flashing, but it is still amber/red. I am hoping I can get a full charge with it again. I read somewhere that it charges very slowly (if it will at all) in this state. Keeping my fingers crossed.
WoooHooo...thank you!!!

I'm trying to brick my device so i can downgrade to 1.40. Everything is fine up until the point where i have to pull the battery out and run off AC power without battery. When i pull out the battery the phone stays on like it is supposed to, but when i press volume + button to start update the phone immediately turns off.
I relocked my device and am running this stock rom. If anyone can offer some advice it would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Are you using the actual HTC charger that came with the phone? I've read here on XDA that the stock HTC charger puts out a little more power than normal chargers. Also, you can't use USB via your PC.

That shouldn't matter since we're dealing with just the bootloader. I'm not sure which guide you're using (if there's even more than one now) but here is the link I followed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1547695
Make sure you boot recovery, remove back cover, plug in phone then pull battery when it says.

I know right! Never thought I'd be mad cause i couldn't brick my phone. Next time someone says they're scared about rooting cause they dont wanna break their phone, I'll tell them they couldn't do it if they tried.
I think I'm going to go back to HTC unlock. The only reason I decided to downgrade my phone in the first place was because i wanted to flash Newtoroot's rls3 and was not able to get it running without losing service. At this point I think I can get that rom to work on 1.50 before i can get this SOB to brick, much less get through the rest of this damn process. If not, I'll just go back to rls1, cause i had that version running perfectly (bugs listed in OP excluded).
Good luck to anyone who's trying to do this...may you have better luck than I did lol.
Sincerely,
J

I had this problem where my phone would turn off as well..I was using a stock htc charger that came with the E3d. What I did was hold my charger steady because if I moved it too much the charge would leave. No I didnt have a shortage in my charger but it just read like that in the laptop. Probably because being plugged into the laptop or cpu it doesnt feed off enough voltage. Hope this works for you.
Ok I did my first root and install for my rezound. I messed with rooting more back when I had my TB and Eris but nothing more than doing some walk-throughs getting some new roms and such. I got Nils business sense 3.6 working great and what a great ROM! However I ran into a (in my head) major problem. With the knowledge of some people here I'm sure 30 minutes with my phone would get it going, but alas I am a noob, but good at following instructions. I'm good with all things tech until we start talking cmd and coding . Build a comp, fix a computer, OCing that kind of thing.
Anyhow, this morning I woke up to a dead phone forgot to charge, no biggy, I put in a new battery and booted...then got stuck at HTC white screen. So I boot into bootloader and all i get is the IMG updating thing and only an option to reboot. Now I'm in a loop. So I take the PHIMG out of root folder and try to boot into recovery and it goes to the white HTC screen with the small loading bar to a black screen that never changes. Cant get into recovery. Next step, using the Hasoon all in one toolkit (though I know I could use cmd myself, this makes my life easier as it accomplishes the same goal) I try to reflash recovery as recommended by someone here. No change. Alas I know my battery is probably getting low and it does NOT charge while turned off!! Lame...So any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could download and install the latest global RUU. Rename it to PH98IMG.zip and place it on root of SD. Make sure if your S-On to re lock your bootloader. Also stay away from CWM recovery, Amon Ra or TWRP is your best recoveries of choice.

Trying to do what is suggested but it seems my phone is too dead to boot into hboot, I cannot hold volume down and power to get there when plugged into the computer either.

It happens lol. Just stay away from CWM recovery in the future. It doesn't allow you to charge your device when powered off.
Also, I think there is a thread someone made on how to charge your battery externally. Might have to dig it up in the general section.

It's really hard to tell with that much information, especially since he can't turn the phone on to get more data, but if his bootloader flash got interrupted somehow he might have bricked the phone. This thread is specifically about how to "unbrick" after that happens and he should probably read at least the OP to see if that fits his situation.
One thing he can try that has worked for some is to charge it on the A/C adapter overnight and see if he can start the bootloader in the morning after removing/replacing the battery.
