Hello there
I am planing to change system default Icons[contacts,music player..etc] in SGA...I will first extract the firmware files and find the res where the icon files are present and replace them with mine..then repack it and flash my SGA using Odin...will this work?
Any idea on how to do this...

am using Froyo 2.2 this rom here
and i want to change some files in system/lib folder to support arabic & other languages
when i replace files and i reboot the phone it's freez on Sony Ericsson and doesn't boot
i tryed alot of files u can see it here
the files are
system/lib
libskia.so
libwebcore.sa
libandroid_runtime.so
libskiagl.so
edited: framework / framework.jar
if anyone can convert 2.1 files (Stock files) and make it work with 2.2 this will be a good help for arabic users of X10

Hi folks,
first of all i am a newbie to rom cooking.
I'm trying to add german language to a jb rom for my AmoiN820 (MTK6577Chip).
I got an Update.zip ROM. I decompiled all apks in /system/app and the framework-res.apk and mediatek-res.apk and added values for "de". After that i recompiled the apks copied them back to the zip and wanted to flash this zip.
Flashing the zip with cwm works good, but rebooting stucks at bootscreen. DO i have to do more things?

Download a custom rom and extract what you require .
Thats what i would need to do to post your request as none of my roms contain shutdown .

I have a problem with gps_brcm_conf.xml . I've replaced original file with file from another rom. But I didnt make a backup this file.
I have android 4.0.4 ISC P76010a-260-03 POLAND and I need file from this rom or another ics.
I would be very approciated if someone upload this file.

I'm not sure if this is just a dumb noob question or not,
but if i unpack my boot.img file from my moto g, using android kitchen (cygwin) and if i repack it again, without modifying anything, the size of my kernel goes from 10MB to 6MB, and the created boot.img can't be used anymore.
Does anybody have an idea what i do wrong? I need this to port a kernel (replace bootclasspath)
