i open the browser and go try some flash and the flash just shows up as a black box. i tried reformatting and reinstalling flash but that dosent seem to work.
i made sure it is enabled in the browser too.
Any other ways i can try to get it to work?
also i reinstalled the apk for the tegra flash not the one on the market.
I had to install the update on the market. What site are you going to?

Yep you need to update this included flash app with the one on the market.

It's an upgrade to the software that is already in your phone

if you don't want to upgrade, what you already have on your phone will work fine.

i bit the bullet and installed the new recovery...
everything seems to work great, wipe cache/dalvik/data, backup, restore, etc.
there is no option to install zip from external sd though, only internal.

So if im coming from GingerBlur V4.5, how exactly would i do this? Would i open this up and click "Flash CWM recovery" and go from there? Im just curious if this will wipe my phone and reinstall Gingerblur (if i choose), or just another ROM i have stored, or do you have to get the ROMs from the app?
And are all ROMs compatible? Or do they have to be compatible w/ this version of CWM? Sorry for the newb questions...
have a probleme with this cwr....I can't mount sdcard-ext :S
Ext-sd card, I would think will be added some time soon.

I think the CWM it installs is for unlocked phones only. So you'd have to unlock your phone first, I believe, in order to flash ROM Manager's CWM.
As for installing all ROMs, it's CWM. So it should be able to install anything. After all, the ROMs are really just pre-boot install scripts, for the most part. The free version of ROM manager has the option to install zips from the internal SD only (as per comments in this thread). It also lists a subset of ROMs, but it looks like it throws an error right now.
cant fastboot flash recovery partition after Rom mngr recovery install
tried to flash back to tenfars recovery after flashing cwm thru rom manager..failed. should i reflash pudding and then try..? or...?
If you install recovery through ROM Manager, the full wipe option does not actually wipe anything. You can still do a wipe by utilizing the -w command via moto-fastboot then install via recovery.

I was wondering if Google music app is compatible with this phone. My gf has tried over and over to install it with no avail. She is running mini cm7. I have an EVO3D so I assumed it would work on hers too but it keeps saying app was not installed. It's not even listed in the market for her phone.

Just force install it. Copy the apk to system/app then set permissions to 644 I think. Just look on the other apks permissions and copy it.

I did titanium backup on blackstar and it works for me. Plus its not JB. So since you aren't on JB you don't need to follow above link. I would uninstall and do it again. Did you full wipe and all that jazz before flashing blackstar?
Hope you figure it out. Post up your solution should you fix it.
