I saw this case at local Sprint store. I tried the black one on my phone. Was a very snug fit, taking it off resulted in the back cover of the phone coming off. Great fit though. I just didn't like the shiny, semi-slick back cover area. I never tried out the kickstand. They also had a white one in the store as well.

I have that exact one but in white it's great only thing is when you have kick stand open to watch a movie make sure you have a full battery because it covers the charging port also when taking phone out of the cover the battery cover comes off feels like your gong to break it. I'm prob going to get the htc one when it's available since kickstand opens the other way

I have that exact one....don't get it. It's cool to have a the kickstand back but not at the price of adding bulk and having to press extra hard on the power button.

I second that. Plus the kickstand is flimsy. Feels like ill snap it off. Looks good though in white. But still bulk, incredibly hard power button, usb port in the wrong way, p.o.s. Kickstand earns it 4 out of ten.

Short Seidio Active kickstand case review

Short because I'm using my E3D and on low battery. But some kickstand complaints I've read make me want to set the record straight.
I read a few complaints that the kickstand prevents you from using it while charging. Not true, it still supports the phone upside down. It locks into place and rather than using the kickstand as a leg, you can flip the whole phone and use it as a base. Works fine.
As far as the rest of the case goes... I came from the otterbox and boy is the Seidio anorexic by comparison. I don't feel like I can be so careless, but I do love the smaller form factor. The case does feel sturdy enough, but not like the otterbox. I was expecting the hard plastic outer layer to be a bit more stiff also, but it has a little flex to it. This also makes it easy to grip and hold. The outer layer being mostly hard plastic also makes putting this in your pocket much easier than otterbox. The otterbox often pulled my pocket inside out when taking it out.
I've really only had a few hours with this case so far so it really hadn't been put to the test. I do prefer this to the otterbox, despite the obvious downgrade in protection. It still feels sturdy enough for the average person's needs, mine included. I only wish the kickstand version had color options other than black.

My question for you is what if you want to charge and use it at the same time. Does the kickstand work in a way where you cant charge while the kickstand is set?
My first paragraph discussed that. The kickstand locks into place sturdy enough to support the phone from either direction (usb on top or bottom. It was 1 of the first thing I tried because of people's complaints about it.

Samsung OEM flip case.... Thoughts?

So I'm looking at the flip case made by Samsung and noticed the back cover is substantially thicker than the one that comes on the phone. It also looks like you could snip off the flap that covers the screen. I know, kinda defeats the purpose but at very minimum, you'll have better protection on the back....
Anyone actually like this case as is? I find it cumbersome for most situations and only see its value for covering the face while in a pocket. I'm thinking to chop the front off and use it just for the back.
Bring on the OtterBox!
As a side Note, the flip case back is also textured and does provide a grippier feel.

Returning mine
I bought mine at the AT&T store. The back of the case is the best part, it is superior to the provided battery backing supplied with the phone.
I feel like the flip cover can get in the way of certain actions, particularly talking photos. It makes holding the phone feel a little unnatural whether you leave the flip cover open to the side or folded against the back. For those two reasons I've gone back to the standard battery back and will be exchanging it for another case or a refund.

I've noticed the same while using mine, especially while taking pictures. I originally purchased one from at&t but have since returned it due to Best Buy giving me one for purchasing the device from them ( saved me $50). This is definitely a temporary case until new cases become available.
Anyone looking to buy the official flip case. Let me know Ian going to sell mine. PM me if u are interested.

Picture taking is not as easy as I'd like it to be. I do like not needing a screen cover. I have a white note with the brown Samsung flip cover. It looks very professional and did not take long to get used to.
Man I went to Best Buy to check this case out and for $30 bucs its about the biggest POS for a case I have seen..
Theres ZERO protection on any of the sides..I'm not even sure how it provides any protection at all really..
I ended up getting the Yoobao Slim case...theres some pics below..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22881779&postcount=9
Provides some good drop protection and is cheaper...Doesnt add much bulk and still fits in my pocket with no issues.
I agree its quite the POS for $30. But for free, it'll do..... Until a replacement gets ordered.

Yep... this.
I like the way the brown one looks ont he white but the front is pretty flimsy and they didn't put too much thought into the overall design. The fact that it replaces the back was a nice thought and helped keep the thickness down opposed to a lot of the journal/folio cases you see on Amazon though.
I'll still probably end up replacing it with one of the aluminum bumpers that looks really nice and offer some more protection.

That's nice, I am ordering that one tonight, thanks for the info and heads up! It looks like that will fit perfectly in my PDAir belt case I have coming, http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_10000000_11001331&products_id=34279
The edge of the flipcover came apart on me today. it is peeling open. the edges are just heat sealed material around a thin plastic slab. have been using since launch day. i have Best Buy's GSBTP so if i drop it and it breaks, i'll just get another Note - so i am not too worried about the protection factor from drops. i like the idea of the flip cover, however it does get in the way of the camera and can make using the camera awkward.
i think the lines / grooves that show in a zagg shield would bug me...
hopefully i will find something i like...
Haters gonna hate.

I really like the flip case. Its a bit pricey at forty bucks, but I like the feel of it. Hopefully it stays together on mine. I really like using it while on the phone, because it keeps my screen clean from the grease from my face.

Ok, I worded that really weird. When I work out, it's unavoidable to sweat, so using my Infuse, I would always have to wipe it down after I talked on it. Yeah, it sucked. But I would rather wipe it off of this, than my screen.
Is this the same one???
I got it for $9 and it protects the corners of the Note. Little flimsy but I thought it was worth the cost and am still using it after 4 days.
Came in a Samsung OEM box.

Body Glove - Tactic Case for the HTC EVO 4G LTE
I saw 2 threads where people were going to try this case. If you purchased one would you recommend it? I did see them on ebay for $18.99 with free shipping.
I have a Body Glove for my Evo 4g and really like it.
I ordered one but it hasn't been released yet. They don't even have a picture posted on their site. I hope it lives up to expectations, as the pics I've seen are cool. Body Glove's cases are hit or miss, though.

Body glove has been a lot more miss than hit as of late for me tho. Anything from cheap cases that break after a couple days, scratching the phone, not fitting correctly or not locking and falling off to paint/clear coat rubbing off the first say.
Sadly, I wouldn't recommend body glove to anyone.

Got one with my phone Saturday. Fit is almost too good. Hard to remove without taking the plastic covers off the back with it. Also the cover scratches easy and is looking pretty old after just 4 days. I got the white one which was all they had available Saturday. Will be looking for a gel case soon. Buttons work alright though. No scratches on my phone from the case.

Thanks for that. I'm cancelling my order. Too much money to not be happy...
My Sprint store had the white ones on release day so I got one. Seems to work pretty good!
Sorry for the bump and double post, but I wanted to second that the body glove RIPS the top-back off of the phone when removed. Or it rips the bottom panel off the phone (worse!)
I like it, I just don't like removing it!
its really hard to take out and when you do it it will take your back cover out, i dont like this cover because it feels weak, i bought it @ sprint but already purchased a otterbox commuter to replace it,
I got this case at the Sprint store and have been pretty happy with it. The combination of the hard plastic outside and the silicone inside seems to offer a lot of protection, and there is a nice lip to protect the screen. All the holes seem to be in the right places and the buttons work well. The power button is a bit difficult to press, but I actually like this as it prevents it from being accidentally locked in my pocket (it only there were a way to disable the Sense ring lock).
It does make the phone noticeably bulkier, especially on the back where the case bulges out a bit (there is a 1mm gap between the phone and the case. Still, the overall package is no thicker than my naked HTC Hero. The added side thickness also means that the phone doesn't stand up as much when using the kickstand.
The store only had the white version, unfortunately, but since I was exchanging another case I didn't have much of a choice (it was that or the pink Otterbox Commuter).
I've removed it a couple of times and had no problems with the back cover coming off, but I was careful to follow the removal instructions (at least on the Sprint version, it comes with instructions telling you to remove it starting with the bottom corner next to the microphone, followed by the other bottom corner, following by sliding the top out). It fits the car dock well with the insert removed and with some minor adjustment of the foam pads.
I got the Body Glove from Sprint as well, and don't need it since I already had a case. It is the gray one. If anyone is interested in buying it at a discounted rate, it is never used and still has the original packaging. PM me if interested.

Seems like a lot of people missed this when I read reviews. I myself missed it initially.
http://www.shopandroid.com/body-glove-tactic-case/4A123A11576A.htm has the black version of the case for $17 today (7/19/2012) as their deal of the day.
Does anyone know if there is a holster out there that will work with the Body Glove Tactic case? I recently got a case and holster combo from my local Sprint store and I didn't check to see if the holster would work with the Car Dock Sprint sales and the case was too big to fit in the car dock even with the insert removed. The Body Glove Tactic case works great in the Car Dock, but I would really like to have a holster for it.
Thanks in advance.

this case broke my first htc evo 4g lte, its why i had to use my replacement, when i took the case off, it fit so tight, that it took the back off too, tearing the plastic......DO NOT BUY , BUYER BEWARE...spend the extra money and get a real case
I love mine. I love the grip on it. However, trying to remove it is a huge hassle and sometimes it breaks the case partially. Otherwise it's great for the grip. Feels good when I play the Pokemans on my EVO.

I have one of these on my phone. It does scratch quite easy and takes the back off when you pull it off, but it does not scratch the phone or trap dirt and dust. other than scratching up i dont mind the case. I would much rather have that happen to the case than my phone.

my cheap case from amazon finally came yesterday, and im pretty happy with it
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008CQW7QO/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
5 bucks, shipped and it fits really well
unfortunately i was impatient waiting for it to get here yesterday, and spent $20 bucks on one of those awful silicone cases at a vzw 3rd party, since NO STORE IN MY AREA HAD ANYTHING ELSE!!!!
all 3 vzw corps, 2 3rd parties, bb, sams club, and pc richard had nothing left by monday/tuesday
apparently my main vzw corp had a ton of stuff last weekend, but according to them they "sold a lot of this phone on friday/saturday, and people bought up all the accessories", and the other close vzw corp only had red and pink tpu cases
supposedly bb was getting stuff early next week, but now im happy with the cheap amazon one
might get an otterbox when they show up, but only if adb during boot is fixed first (probably permissions issue) cuz otterbox doesnt equal easy batt pull
I bought it. I've always liked TPU cases, and this one is slim and fits well.

I purchased it as well. It's nice, but my only complaint is that unlike the TPU case for the OG DInc, the volume and power buttons aren't covered by the case. Other than that, it's great.

I'm just the opposite. I prefer the cut out sections. I always cut those sections out on the old versions
i like the volume cut outs but the power is a pain but for me it isn't an issue, as I use wake on vol on every phone/ROM I use, and I also use a widget to put my phone to sleep, so unless I'm powering off the phone I don't touch the power button
I have the red one... It looks and feels great... And ordered 4 different color S style cases as well on amazon.. can't wait for those

I'm still looking for a case becuase I don't see that many cases. Not that many major companies release cases for this phone I might wait for a while, and I might get diztronic one if I don't see any more.
My only complaint with the TPU is that the power button is very hard to push, but I use a widget to turn the screen off and the volume buttons to turn on, so it works for me personally.
TBH though, I only use the case when out n about drinking or something.
90% it's off
the feel of this phone stock is very nice.
no overheting that I've experiened with the Rezound.
also this is quite thin, compared to Rezound.
batt life is decent as well
my friend got a tpu case from Amazon and complained about the power button being difficult to press. I suggested using thin strips of tape on the inside of the case under the power button to reduce the gap between button and case. She did that and now the button works perfectly.

I ordered the "Diztronic Matte Back Translucent Black Flexible TPU Case for HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE (Verizon) **For New 2012 4G LTE Model Only (ADR6410)** [Diztronic Retail Packaging]" case from Amazon and it fits very well! I previously had the black / clear S-type TPU case on my DINC 2 and it separated where the black and clear parts connect after a few months.

How transparent/clear and fingerprint/smear resistant is the GreatShield Ultra Anti-Glare (Matte) Clear Screen Protector? I have a "crystal clear" screen protector It is nice and transparent, but it is horrible with fingerprints.
Regarding the TPU case I bought, my only complaint is that the front sides don't come up high enough to protect the glass when setting the phone face down on a table. Otherwise it's great.

Easily removable case for swapping batteries?

One of my favorite features of the Note and S series phones is the removable battery. I'd like to be able to easily swap out the battery while still using some kind of case. I bought a SUPCASE Hybrid on Amazon, but it's so tight and difficult to remove that I'm afraid I'll eventually hurt the phone by taking it off once or twice per day. It's also pushing my screen protector up at the sides because it's so damned tight.
I had one of these cases for the Galaxy Note 2, and it worked very well. It was stretchy enough that I could take it off and put it back on all the time without fearing that I was going to damage the case or phone.
Has anyone found a case like this for the Note 3 that allows easy access to the battery of the phone? I'd pay $100 if I could get one of those Body Glove cases for the Note 3.
I'm considering buying a Seidio Surface because it looks like it might be easy to work with. (Top and bottom seem to slide off rather than needing to be peeled off.)
I have a feeling that I'm not the only one here who's particular about this, so I figured I'd make a post. Any ideas anybody? Thanks in advance.

Searching around on Samsung's online store and it doesn't look like they have them up for the Note 3 yet... shame.
The S-View case is the easiest thing in the world to take off in under a second really, also the other day I put my Caseology case on forgetting to put my battery cover on first and walked around all day like that without any problems lol. But umm yea the S-View if you simply pull on the case it snaps right off the back and it is very thin and light.

I tried Incipio one at AT&T store and the phone removal is a bit hassle.

I went to a local T-Mobile store tonight and they had way more GNote 3 stuff in stock than I expected. They had a "buy two, get one free" sale so I picked up a S-View and two cases for less than $100. I really like how the S-View feels compared to Samsung's previous flip covers, but it disappoints me that the notification LED is still covered up. It didn't occur to me until after I'd walked out that this flip cover will also totally defeat the usefulness of the "Dynamic Notifications" app which I'm currently in love with.

Yup! Tech21 is one of the three cases I got tonight and it's the one I'm most happy with right now. It feels very solid, looks good and is pretty easy to slip off. There's just enough lip to prevent the touchscreen from touching my desk when I place it face down, but not enough to make it difficult to remove. It peels off way easier than the other cases of this type I've tried. :good:
I can tell you from using the flip cover for Note II, any Samsung official flip/s-view case is going to be the easiest option for wapping batteries, I do it every day and can't wait to get one for my Note III
Spiegen Bounce case is super easy to take off yet is still very protective.

I don't think samsung is going to release anything official under $50 until all the half off coupon codes expire. Right now there is one item available to use that code on, the S pen and nothing else.
