Running the stock mms app on the phone and was wondering if there is a way to remove the txt of the message from the lock screen? I've searched for the option but have yet to see it.
Running BAMF Remix 1.8.
Any suggestions other than switching to handcent - which I'd prefer not to?
Thanks.
Go to privacy in settings and disable it

Only setting is "received notification" which will not notify you that you have received a .txt. This is no good being that you will never know when you get a .txt, unless you check it every 3 seconds.
Well I haven't run sense 2.1 in awhile but in the sense 3.0 rom's you have the option to disable the text in the lockscreen
Like I said its in system settings>privacy>disable message text in lockscreen

How do I change the lock screen shortcuts on injected theory 6 ROM, the personalize menu doesn't work? Thx
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
You can't the personalize menu as far as I know is part of sense and that ROM is desensed. If you want that control use gingertheory.
The shortcuts are a mishap and not even supposed to be there. Everytime I get rid of them, they come back. Lol

I uninstalled Mail and now the 2nd shortcut from the left is empty. Was hoping I could fill it with Maps LOL at least that didn't break it.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knows how to disable or freeze the stock lockscreen? Ive used other lockscreens like lockbot and magic locker and for sone reason the stock one still pops up so I end up unlocking two screens. Gets annoying. My phones stock nonrooted.thanks in advance.

You can use widgetsoid and create a widget to disable it. Or, if you have Power control Plus you can use their widget too.
Thanks a lot. Ill give those a try and post back.

Also you can freeze via Titanium Backup one app - Sprint_OMADM.apk, of course if you are not Sprint user.
the free app 'no lock' is amazing and works flawlessly. Best app on the market imo
Thanks guys for all the help! I tried widgdtsoid and power control. power control worked but it had a notification symbol which I dont like. I just downloaded and installed no lock and I think I'm gonna go with that one. You guys rock!

No lock + Agile Lock screen works great together
Anyone have a solution for us with Outlook EAS that requires the PIN? No Lock does not work for me.
I use go locker with no issues

Im using no lock to disable stock lockscreen and am using go launcher/go locker with sense slider for my lockscreen. Works flawlessly.

Use widget locker. It's not free but it sure as hell is worth the admission fee. It gives you the option to completely replace the stock lockscreen plus it has loads of other useful features (integration with teslaLED)
Im on tsm and when I get a text it vibrates but no sound although when I get an email there is sound. Not sure how to fix it.

When I have my phone set to vibrate when I get a text, it doesn't vibrate. It works for typing and screen touches though, anybody else having this problem?

Go to your messaging app and go into settings and make sure it's set to vibrate within the messaging app
It's set to off normally

This is one of the things that I really don't like about iOS - the fact that the screen turns on and displays the message whenever it's received. No other Android phone I've used does this.
Is there any way to turn this off? I don't think it's in the settings; I've looked everywhere. Maybe a mod?
In the messaging app
Settings>notification settings>uncheck "screen on"

Thats really weird. I am on a custom rom though so maybe it was an edited sms app. what you could do is completely turn off notifications, download sms popup from the play store, and set sms popup to handle notifications. this has the added benefit of giving you a popup similar to cyanogenmod's messaging app. you would have to turn off screen on from notification in sms popups settings to get it working how you want.
Nice! That works perfect. Thanks

No Problem, glad I could help
The "screen on" option is only available from a custom ROM. I've since set up my whole device and I'm on the Hyper ROM which has the setting. I'm not sure why this isn't an option on plain stock, but at least I have it now.
