So I removed the Sprint proxy right when I got the phone & followed instructions from here Data reset a must as well as here WiMAX (4G) Reconnection Time
I manually backed up my WiMAX settings & Sprint proxy settings but I think when I did the data reset a must a few things might have gotten changed.
So is there an easy way to reset everything back to factory default? I know doing a clear storage won't reset it but maybe a ##786 rest will? (I haven't tested) I found all the default settings posted for the evo4G but I think the 3D might be a little different.
My MMS server URL is completely blank and I'm not sure if it was by default. Also my EVDO settings I'm not sure if my default is CDMA only or automatic? My MMS seems to work just fine (even with MMS URL being blank) and I currently have my EVDO set to automatic.

I recently Tried to use my ATT SIM with my Dinc4G, I had to add an APN but it worked 100%, Voice and Data.
When I went back to my Verizon SIM, I found I had no data...
It hasn't come back at all for a couple days now, when I reset t o defualt APN I see the Verizon APN and even got screenshots of the settings
Problem is it changes back to some APN with wrong settings almost immediately, and I cannot change that APN.
Adding New a New APN causes that APN to disappear, and the name of the locked one to change. The information is still wrong, can't be changed and I have no data...
At a loss here, can't figure out whats happening. I even put my SIM in my Galaxy Nexus... and THAT didn't have a data connection either....
Are you rooted?
I've had the same problem after testing out an AT&T SIM, and there seems to be something wrong with the way Dinc4 tries to reset APN data to defaults.
There might be a better/easier/more proper way to fix it, but the only one I found was to edit APN database directly using a SQLite editor. Obviously, needs root access for that.
If you are, in /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases check telephony.db and cdmaapn.db files.

I know there is a lot of questions surrounding APN settings and I have done a lot of research and can't seem to find a solution to my problem. Background I am running a XT908 which appears to be a very close cousin or brother or sister (choose your family member) to the XT912. It is a CDMA phone from a small local carrier. Anyway I have CM 10.1 on it, working great frankly I love it, however like many small carriers getting the APN settings restored is a real pain.
So the real issue is when I goto Settings -> More -> Mobile Networks, there is no option for Access Point Names. This is true both on CM 10.1, AND the stock ROM which was ICS 4.0.4. So the data on my phone is working, however I can't send MMS messages (it just sits at sending). I presume the problem is the APN, I'm not sure if it is simply using Verizon's and it is working because Verizon runs off the local carriers towers or what.
Anyway, is there a way to modify the active APN setting(s) via the ADB shell. I've been doing a lot of playing around with the apns-conf.xml, and the telephony.db database located in /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db. I attempted to restore my APN config by installing APN Backup & Restore, making it a System App, dumping the APNs on the stock ROM, and then restoring them on CM10. This did import some of the settings (although the database fields don't match up exactly), however I still have the MMS problem.
So I guess I just wrote a long winded explanation to ask, is there a file or database I can modify with my local carriers settings and make it the active APN? Or is my APN not even the issue since data is working fine, it is MMS only? Thanks much.
Going to try and bump one time.
I use my DNA primarily on VZW but recently added a TMobile SIM card to my international travel kit. I found out the DNA is SIM unlocked so I jammed it in, set the APN settings and all was dandy. Phone worked very well.
Problem is, NOW I go back to the VZW SIM and the Verizon APN settings will not stick. I input the settings and save but then it retains the TMo settings.
I have signal bar but it won't get to internet or send/receive MMS. no 4G icon in the bar.
Anyone have experience with this?
Is there an app that allows me to easily switch between multiple APNs? It appears only one is saved at a time.
Does anyone else use multiple SIMs on any android devices and have suggestions on how to maintain this?
Stock Rooted with S-Off.
Steps taken:
Reboot, Clear Dalvic, Clear Cache
in APN click on 'Reset to default', the VZWINTERNET shows until I exit the screen, when I return it's TMobile settings
BTW: I have already tried suggestions here and it never saves. It will not add another APN. As soon as I go out and back in the new APN is gone.

So I've been searching around and haven't been able to find an answer yet, that actually works. I'm using my G3 on Sprint for a bit while my G6 gets fixed, and it's on rooted ZVC. I apparently live in a Sprint dead zone, so WiFi calling is a must, but MMS doesn't work over WiFi with the default APN setting for MMSC. If I use an app like Textra, I can force the correct URL, but I have been unable to change/add the correct APN to the system in order to use Android Messaging, for example. I can get to the APN settings screen, but no options to add or edit. ##DATA# lets me change the setting for the stock messaging app only. Any suggestions?
So, when I first put my SIM in, my phone restarted and I got some texts informing me of settings in a configuration menu to install, and when I did almost everything worked perfectly fine. Upon one of the things acting strange, i reset my networking settings and input the specified APN settings for my carrier (Ting), but then MMS wont work and when I get calls it goes straight to voicemail. By default under "Access Points", it has a "Ting Data" option which can't be changed, but has incorrect APN settings according to the ting website, so I make a second one and select it instead.
Anyhow, I want the original configuration install options to reappear like when I first installed my sim but I cannot find anything about them or find any configuration menu. They did add new APN settings in there when I did it and MMS did work at the time and I did get calls. I've already removed my sim, and placed it back in with no luck, restarted phone, soft reset phone, reset Access Points to default, and reset network settings via the Reset menu, and no luck.
Is there a dial code I can enter to find this APN install menu? or get it to do a full network reset as if I put my SIM in for the first time WITHOUT a full factory reset.
Edit: Got it working somewhat. It says I have LTE connection, but only wants to work on and off. Any ideas of how to fix this?
