Well, i kinda went on a case craze in the last couple days..
purchsed 3 different sets from amazon, and one from popcase, and one from BB today..
so here is the BB case. its got a nice soft rubber feel to it. case fits snug and does the job really well. downside its $$ compared to the others. 30+ bucks..
I am waiting for the 3 dollar amazon cases to arrive. will make a final decision then.. but for now, im really liking this case!!!
another thing to mention, this case fits in the official car dock sold @ sprint retail stores.(i know bc i have one)

i have this but with no kickstand ... only thing i have bad to say about it is the case its self needed some type of texture its really smooth and slick i have just about dropped my phone a few times cause the case is so slippery
have a link for that case w/kickstand?
Have the non-kick stand version of this case. Dropped my phone about 3 feet getting out of my car the other day and it saved the phone. No issues I can tell (knock on wood)
This is the one that I went with (without kickstand) as well. I tried a bunch of different cases, and I ended up sticking with this one (but mine is Sapphire Blue).
I haven't dropped it yet, but I really like this style of case. I had the Seidio Surface case on my old EVO since I got it.
Unfortunately once you take that case off and put it back on you will notice how loose it feels.

Yep, the top half is loose. It is rather annoying because you will start to notice it anytime you pick it up.
As a result I will be returning my surface. I love the case and holister, but for $35 dollars it should loosen up like it does. I purchased a TPU case to hold me over tell the offical HTC kickstand case comes out.
I'm not a fan of cases, but I have this same case on my EVO3D. I wish the kickstand flipped out from the other side so I could charge while it was standing up. I didn't know it fit with the factory car dock, maybe I will pick one of those up. I haven't dropped my phone yet, but I think it would protect it pretty. I like the matte finish to the case too.

I have heard that it does indeed fit with the car dock (at least the igrip sprint sells)
Go try it out, at the sprint stores they will let you unbox the dock and give it a feel.

I have been using a cheap ebay soft silicon case since I got my x10
and so far, it's been GREAT! except for the aesthetic part....
it's ugly as hell on my phone..
but i'm so clumsy and i've dropped my phone so many times, on carpets, on pavement, on stairs, etc. and still nothing's broken, and there's not even a crack or a scratch..
i've never used a hard case before.. and i was wondering how they are like.. in terms of 'protecting the phone'
i'm kind of worried that when i put a hard case on and drop it by mistake, the case will come off (kinda like when you sometimes drop your cheap cell phones, the battery comes off)
or that it won't be as protective as my current silicon case...
i have a sensuous white phone.. and i'm looking at these cases

the first one protects the front as well, but the second one looks prettier..(imo)
if anyone owns above cases, please let me know what they are like and also whether i should go for the back cover or full hard case..
thank you!!
also, what colour should i go for? i'm leaning towards red on white..
but i also like pink-white, or white-white..
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/capdase-alumor-metal-case-sony-ericsson-xperia-x10-black-p24926.htm
I've dropped it on concrete with this on and not a problem. Aluminium on the outside, rubber on the inside with a rubber lip to hold the phone in place. Nice and snug.
Haha! The BACK case has the wrong cutting for the camera xD
i use a capdase soft jacket 2,and it is great.

um i think those are the holes for speakers lol
well i'm just wondering if anyones used them and if they have.. how they are in terms of protection...
i drop my phone a lot so i need a sturdy case
How about you stop being clumsy idiots and not drop your phone or just not buy good things.
I bought a black rubberized hard case just like the pink one you mentioned. It looks good in the pictures, but I really didn't like it. It ended up making the phone bulky, and the build quality was not perfect where one side was not finished completely and felt rough to the touch.
I then went with a TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) case instead, and I've been very satisfied with it. TPU plastic doesn't have that stickiness of silicone but is thin and flexible enough to keep the X10's shape. On eBay there are different colors to choose from and they seem to come with and without patterns. Just do a search for 'xperia x10 tpu'. I got a no-pattern smoke colored one for a few dollars (USD) with free shipping, and I think it's great.

Just a short review of the red extended battery case.
One word "AWESOME". I was concerned about the case adding extra girth onto the already huge phone, but to my surprise it doesn't seem to add any extra weight. The reason being is the case is just a gel shell (if you will). It covers out the outtermost of the phone.
The phone in the back is still exposed for the extended battery part which is a negative. You could still drop the phone on the back and damage the battery cover. I was anticipating that the whole phone would be covered. IMO if you would buy a regular verizon red gel case and cut the back out of the case you will have yourself an extended battery case without the added cost.
If you are the type that needs an otter box type of case this is NOT for you, again the back is exposed.
If you have any questions ill be happy to answer any.
FYI posted on a few different forums so if you see at a few different places, yep its me lol.
I wonder how this compares with the one that Verizon sells for the extended battery.
I just received the case and I'm pretty disappointed. All they did was take a regular tpu case and cut the back out from it. They did a decent job but your really paying for the labor. $25 shipped was not worth it. Just buy some tpu cases from ebay and cut them yourself. I'm buying some that actually cover the power and volume buttons. Another reason why I don't like this case.
Just ordered a black case. We will see how it goes. I did not see a return policy listed on htc pedia's site, so hopefully its not a POS. I really wish that Seidio would get on making a case for this phone.
nvm

So it is a TPU type... People keep saying "gel" and "silicone" cases and that makes me think about the soft rubbery kind. I hate those.
I am thinking about getting the same exact one but it sucks that its not free shipping

Have had this case on a few days now. I am happy with it, however, it is just a TPU case that is cut. You could easily cut one yourself and save the money, but if you do not want to mess with it then it is worth it. The case is really nice IMO, I like it much better than the holster style with kickstand that I was using before. I am buying time until Seidio makes an Active case for it, it will do for now. HTCpedia shipped fast and were very courteous so I would and will buy from them again.
I bought this case after seeing this post and I actually love the thing (I got high gloss black). I like the feel of it and it looks cool as hell with the matt black finish of the stock back exposed.
I was in BestBuy yesterday and a couple of the employees went nuts over the case and wanted to know where I got it.

Heads up guys. tpu-cases.com has a "real" tpu case designed around the extended battery. They have it in black and pink and it's only $12.90. Not sure what shipping cost.
Ok folks.. I have been looking for a back cover for my gtablet and I found one at NewEgg. It comes in both Black and Clear... for those of you that are interested its a polycarbinate material.... And is only 13.00, its suppose to have all the right cut outs and such....
The Company name is GreatShield Guardian Series Slim-Fit PolyCarbonate Hard Case for ViewSonic gTablet 10.1 Multi-Touchscreen Tablet
Found the same on buy.com for $10.95
I opted for a case with keyboard. Here :- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004JF9N1O/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details
The case is hard leather the keyboard and stand are a bonus, I figured it may come it useful to have a keyboard close by. If you need a keyboard it's worth a little extra.
Why not to electroniccrap.com have a look.. There are many toies for Gtablet..
Did you buy this greatshield case? Thoughts?

Just ordered mine today through Amazon as I wanted to get something else so I was able to get free shipping. Now just need to sit and wait for it..stated for delivery sometime next week. I'll post back with my thoughts.
Recieved this item.
Yes I did use GreatShield, I wanted it in black and it was only offered in clear thru Newegg. So I went to the Greatshield site and ordered in in black. And it arrived 5 days later, via USPS.
Works like a charm, all the cut outs are correct. NO shape edges and it pops right on. It was worth the wait and the price.
Well the Greatshield back cover arrived today. First impression wasn't what I was expecting...I was thinking it was more like the material like those Cruzerlite covers are made of for phones. This is actually just hard plastic with a painted black soft touch paint on it, kind of like the soft touch plastics found in many cars. Actually VZW sells sliding belt holsters which are pretty much the same concept as this cover. Either way its another layer on the back of the tablet that adds a little bit more thickness which I actually don't mind plus the soft touch paint gives it more grip.
All ports and physical buttons are exposed which is great but the only thing which could bother some is access to the micro sdcard slot/USB port cover is a little difficult. You will have to peel the back cover off slightly to get it opened if you access that slot and port. Oh getting this thing off is kind of a pain since the tablet is a little bigger than a phone. I find sitting on the couch while trying to get the cover off is better just incase things go flying.
Anyways on to the pictures (sorry for the blurry pictures, these were taken with my Droid X):

The extra grip must be nice.
I always worry when I one hand mine that it is going to slip out of my hands since it's kind of slick.
I've had my ultraslim for about 5 days now and had a pm from a member here regarding it, so figured I'd post a few pics and a mini review. First off, good customer service. About a week and a half went by after I ordered and I had not received my case yet (I'm in PA, they're in CA i believe). I called up and the rep said it appeared it might've gotten lost by usps due to the tracking not being updated. No questions asked he sent me another via Fedex priority and I had it two days later.
Pics and then a bit more info:

First, I definitely like this case. With the size of the note, I was way too hesitant to drop good money on something that would make it any bigger. I've never used a pouch for a phone before but I'm liking this. White on white looks great too, to me. Have had some compliments on it already.
Fit: I received my case literally as I was going out the door to go to the gym. As I immediately noticed that my phone kept rebooting every time I put the phone in the case, and when it was on, the volume kept changing. I realized the inner seams were pressing up against the buttons. I was very upset at first, and then realized I just had to put it in a bit crooked so the seams run along the edge of the buttons rather than on them, not a big deal. Took about a few days for my case to start breaking in and now the note fits snugly but easily pulls in and out of the case. Also note that the case has kind of formed to the 'crooked' way that I put the note in. It's not like I need to make sure I'm avoiding the seams when I put the phone in, it just slides in exactly how I want it to now.
I rock my note upside down in the case, since I have BLN on. All I have to do is lift up the top flap a bit and I can see if I have notifications.
Protection: Obviously it'll keep away scratches. Drop protection... it really is thin. However, I'd be fairly confident that on a regular drop, the case would save it. It's basically just a thin layer of leather, but I think it's enough to absorb the shock. It's like the difference between the metal cased iphones and plastic phones... just a little bit makes a difference. That said, I'm not going to test it. But it really does add essentially no noticeable bulk or weight, and gives you a better grip when removing it from your pocket.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Very classy looking, thanks for the share.
nice pocket. where did you buy it?
bought it direct from them through their website.
What was the price? Do you think it would fit with an elago slim fit case? White looks so sexy on this phone..

$35. And I don't quite understand your question... See you asking if your phone with case attached will fit in the pouch? No.. It's designed to perfectly fit the phone. Then again I don't know how thick your case is but I highly doubt it and aren't sure why you'd use both

I've been a minimalist case user for years, I think going back to the samsung galaxy s3. I am very OCD with my phones and treat it like a baby. So I always go with a minimalist case because I don't like the bulk.
on the s7 i actually tried a dbrand (carbon) because the phone looks so good I didn't want to hide it, unfortunately this didn't help make the phone any less slippery. It may have actually made it more slippery because the glass actually gives friction and the aluminum sides aren't covered with the skin so VERY slippery.
So anyway i went with the spigen Thin Fit case. This is similar to the cases I usually have used over the years.
Yesterday as I was sitting down, the phone took a slight (1 foot) slip/fall and sort of skidded. I honestly don't remember if it landed on the face or back but after i picked it up i immediately saw the screen was ok, and the dbrand skin is still on the back (so honestly don't know if it's cracked). but it did take a pretty decent nick out of the aluminum on the lower right corner. If you look close you can see the case was actually damaged a little too.
I think the case is great for what it is. Honestly if it would have covered the entire bottom (which would make it more comfortable in the hand) then it would have protected the phone in this slight drop.
Just wanted to let you guys know, that we can all drop phones, and you may want to make sure all edges are covered because TBH i can't believe the phone was damaged this bad from such a slight fall.
I am ordering something that covers all edges to prevent further incidents like this (and to cover this so I can stop looking at it every 5 mins )

try the neo hybrid. I love it. spigen stuff is great. they were on sale last week so I got a tough armor and neo and love the neo. love the rugged armor TPU and I've got a slim fit that's great too. I've pretty much got all their stuff lol

Looks like it just happened to land perfectly on that corner. I too wish they had gone all the way around with the case but I know what I'm getting myself into by running this case.
I switched away from Spigen's Thin Fit awhile back when I found out that Ringke makes a very similar case (might even be thinner), but covers all the sides. It's slightly harder to take the case off, but not impossible. You might want to check it out. Ringke Snug-Fit on Amazon.
hmm i have this case and thinking about getting something that covers the whole frame now...ill most likely get the cali case once they ship to canada...
Go with tech21, they are thin and provide excellent drop protection, I've dropped mine on concrete several times and nothing has happened.
