I think the title is self explanatory. I tried removing and downloading another version then copying it through root explorer etc and I still get the same error.
I can't install the UNSservice... update for my Samsung App. The reason I want this is that the camera update is out.
I've already tried searching on google and search. It comes up with irrelevant ones.
Please help
Best regards
You can install the camera apk. It is posted in another thread here.

I am an Android newb, been with BlackBerry for the past 3 years. But I am decent with it. I have my Atrix rooted and running GingerBlur. My question is, is it just my phone or a XDA thing? I'm able to download and install .apk's from 4shared and other sites, but when I attempt to download them through XDA I get a " Cannot download. The Content is not supported on this phone." Error. Anyone else experience this, or is it just my phone? I tried searching, but that came up empty for me. Thanks in advance!
if you use the XDA forum app for android, whenever there is an attachment to the thread (such as APKs) you can click it from there, and it will download/install any APK that is attached. i use that method, because I get the same error as you when using the browser.
Thanks, I'll give that a try!
after updating rom i can not update gmail app it states wrong signiture ,how can i get around this many thanks
You need to ask on the ROM thread, if it's not already been discussed.

Hi to everybody,
I just bought a P500 and started to work on my own modification.
I already rooted the phone and installed a custom ROM (GB).
Before this one I got a Huawei Ideos 8150 (froyo); the contacts application of this phone provide native management of the contacts groups allowing to set ringtones, send group messages and so on.
As you know this functionality is missing in P500, so I would like to know if it's possibile to use the apks from my previous phone.
I already tried to simply install the ContactsProvider (I deleted the apks from the rom before installing it) using adb but I get this error:
INSTALL_FAILED_SHARED_USER_INCOMPATIBLE
I tried to follow these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111476
but after that when I launch phone or contact it says that the application is not installed....
Is there any way that I can make that contacts manager working on P500?
I know there are many other contacts manager on the market but this is not the question...
If I'm in the wrong section please move the thread in the right section.
Sorry for my bad english...
Thanks

Troubleshooting Android Market Problems
Pay attention to the fingerprint stuff. If you are using a non-stock DPI that can have an effect also.
I didn't understand. Is ther any alternative way without changing the rom, like finding the apk files of the apps from the market in order to direct download and install manualy

SS1.2 Froyo is cool, especially if you factory rest (old school)
Market cache can be cleared fr/ settings/applications/manage/all/market
your gmail account is tied into that, so delete and re AD under settings/accounts and sync.
Hi all, is there a way to stop an app requesting an update and continue with the current one installed?
Basically I have an app, today when I tried to open it, it told me it can't open and that I must upgrade to the latest version to open, but I don't want to do that.
Is there a way to mod the app/apk to allow current use going forward?
Lucky pathcher or anything like that.
All I am looking for is to continue with using the app build I currently have, without updating, and still have the app/apk work.

I think that's not what he meant. OP, mean you can't use the app anymore without a mandatory update right? Would like to know if that's possible too..
In titanium backup you can 'unlink' the app from the market.....
I've never used the function, but it *sounds* like it's what you're after....
Edit.......
Read this article......

you could try to disable its internet permission, using some apps or some custom rom that has this feature (custom Jellybean 4.2.2 AOSP, ecc...): it will not be able to communicate externally.
Other way is: editing smali code in the app itself, however you should know how to unpack it (apk multitool) and searching for the string that says "update your version to continue" and know a bit of code editing. I succeeded myself in doing some small changes to apps this way but it takes time and it might be not worth it.
