Has anyone been able to change the boot splash screen (i.e. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 image)? I tried using heimdall but I get a "Failed to detect compatible device" error on both Windows and Ubuntu.

I just recently got my tab so I'm not sure. But if you're looking to find it on Google or forums, its commonly called a "boot logo".
Also, the "SAMSUNG" animation afterwards is called a "boot animation" if you want to know that too, and that's much easier to change.

Hello;
I rooted my samsung galaxy s4 using king root app. And I installed CM12.1 unofficial (My s4 is GT I9500 black version).
While I was using my phone battery drained off and the next time I tried to boot my phone it got stuck in the Samsung black logo screen. I tried to break the boot loop by trying to get in to the recovery mode {volume up+power+home} but it resulted in continuous booting then I tried with the volume down button but then it got into the donot turn of the target mode.
Currently my phone is in a brick mode .So please do help me, my whole office files are inside the phone
Unfortunately there is not a way to retrieve your data at this stage. You should be able to recover it by flashing the stock firmware via Odin or using Samsung Kies.
Please EXPLAIN

Hi there!
I will try to summarize and skip the storytelling:
I have a Galaxy Tab 2 (GT P5110) without access to the recovery boot, locked on the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 2" screen, that is not recognized by Odin and without root access [I lost it when I installed Lineage OS and could not root again, I think because the root apps could not recognize the OS (?)].
It was stuck on the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again" screen, but I managed to install a supposed recovery from Odin and now I can get to the download mode screen (but again: Odin does not recognize it anymore). Oh, and I have Kies installed.
I hope someone can help me with that.
Thanks in advance!
