I guess I got an answer to the second question.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154600
In regards to the video calling, isn't that supposed to be a new feature of Gingerbread?
I'm still currently on Froyo, and I don't use video calling, but I could have sworn that's one of the new features with GB...

unfortunately android does not support the standard video calling that UK and nokia phones use. and that includes the galaxy s2, it does not support that video calling either. it DOES support video calling over data connection, using fring or google talk or those type of options.
the atrix does support this type of video calling too. something like qik or fring should work fine for video calling.
but the standard video protocol is not supported on any android phone AFAIK.

greetings guys,
im planing to get the samsung ace within two weeks and i need it mainly for voip and specially skype
now ive seen some posts online saying that they couldnt install it and it always reboot while the installation process, and since here is the best place to ask for solution i was wondering if you could tell me
thx
Skype, no problem at all. Dont worry if you're not gonna use the video.
(no reason to buy ace if you're gonna use the vid function since it doesnt have a front facing cam xD)
i heared that skype is putting restrictions based on the country and the best way to avoid it is by rooting the phone and installing the akp ( correct me if im wrong) is it true and if so where can i find the file (A)
thanks alot
I had not a single problem with skype. No restrictions or anything and I used it in like 5 countries.

Hi,
I am trying use talkonaut for my gtalk2voip on my new Samsung Galaxy S II running on android 2.3.3
What i have noticed is that although i am able to place a call, the other party cannot hear my voice whereas I can hear them quite clearly. I think this related to
Android Os 2.3.3 only. As my sister who has Samsung wave running on android 2.2 and my wife who is having Xperia Mini running on Os 2.1 are able to make calls without any problem.
Any ideas ?
Please dont suggest to use some other voip service, as i am living in UAE and voip services are as such almost bannned here.... Besides gtalktovoip is the cheapest voip i have known so far, I have tried to use Nimbuzz, fring etc, to login into google talk so that i can use gtalk2voip.... but they dont seem to work at all..
vbuzzer, skype are all too costly...
try flashng a 2.3.4 rom to see if that fixes the problem.
I am using GalnetMIUI and using the 2.3.5 version. Even i face the same problem and i think it is because UAE is blocking some port.
To overcome the problem i use Gtalk Voice Chat feature using gtalk2voip.
Hi,
Did you get a solution to your problem? I recently got the S2 and seem to face the exact same problem. Im living in UAE too. My friend who is using the same software on his iPhone 3 seems to have no issues at all. Please do let me know.
Cheers!

Does anyone know how to get current HD / 3D games to play on the Galaxy S II / 2 lTE HD ( SHV-E120L / E120S ) ?
I've read that changing the build prop file to mimic the Samsung Galaxy Nexus S which has a similar resolution will do the trick. Unfortunetly most the Gameloft titles won't download after changing my build prop file. I've got Chainfire3D + plugins installed.
Any help / ideas will be appreciated.
Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE
Dear michael1982t,
I am not responding to your question relating to games, i want to know if you root your Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE. I just got one and i am having issues with sending andreceiving sms. It wont send sms and when it recieved one, it hids the sender's ID so that i cannot reply. In addittion, there quite a lot of Korean apps that wont uninstall and therefore useless to me and the phone. If you can help me, as i am interested in rooting and installing something else other than this Gingerbread 2.3.0 that is acting silly.
Please, your assistance will be highly appreciated.

Flashing your ROM with the Teamleader Rom will help as all stock roms seem to have this SMS problem. You can see my thread here with ROMs and Flashing Instructions>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468998
Post questions on that thread if you have any problems and people can help you out.
Enjoy.

I am not quite sure what you are trying to say. If you are only rooting it then there should be no bugs in the Bluetooth or camera functions. Now if you're going to flash a ROM like the new jellybean ones I believe they do have camera issues. However, you should consult the people who develop the rom since they usually list the problems in their threads.
