run SEUS???
Flash the Stock Rom with Flash tool .2.8
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Will running SEUS do it all?
From where can I get the stock ROM? I am from India and need to Flash the original Indian stock ROM
Use X10i Generic
Generic version 2.1update1 build 2.1.A.0.435 !
I dont think there's any special difference ?
Thanks! Also I checked on a thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=975692 In the first reply, it is mentioned that a repair from SEUS will do the trick. Can this be done?
yes, it can do the trick too
Does anyone have any ideas if SEUS will detect the third party flash and still update to SE's Gingerbread? Just wondering to see if I have to return to deault before going to 2.3 or leave it as is.
As long as you have the correct CDA everything should be fine.

You just go onto flash mode on SEUS, doesn't matter if your on a custom Rom. I've tried it while on a custom rom and it worked for 2.1 so I see no reason why it shouldn't work for 2.3.

Thanks all!!!
or if you are worried, use flashtool to flash back to 2.1 stock then seus it
Is the CDA hardware or software?

noob question: what's the difference between using flashtools and SEUS, if you are installing a stock 2.1 rom with both?
I believe SEUS can only install your local firmware, but Flashtools lets you choose any firmware you want as long as you downloaded them, right? can't you just use Flashtools and nothing else?
theoretically, yes.
but I feel safer to use the seus instead, it's more like a noob thing since you don't have to compile files.
hope everyone works fine.
i want it now ^^

Are you sure about this? Because I'm using a custom rom and kernel, is it safe?
Sent from my X10mini using XDA App
I doubt that either SEUS or PC Companion will detect the phone on a custom kernal, and I would also say the chance is high of bricking your phone if it did try and update.
Safest way would be reload back to stock kernal and perform a repair in PC Companion update which will load back stock rom. Not sure if you need to relock your bootloader for this to work..
REMEMBER DO NOT RE-LOCK BOOTLOADER ON CUSTOM KERNAL AS THIS WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE!!

Try follow this tut [TUT] un-brick for n00bs.
It takes you step by step (screen shots) all the way from where ever you are to stock ROM.
SEUE is the best way to flash 2.1 original firmware ...
Hi!
I flashed my X10a using Feralab rom and DomKernel V6 and everything is ok. However, I have to take my X10 to the repairing center because of an old problem in touchscreen. So, I'd like to know how to flash back my X10 with original Sony Ericsson rom and Sony Ericsson Kernel. Where can I find this rom and kernel?
Thanks!
Go look in flashtool thread you will find out ftf files... Download one for your region.... And flash through flashtool
Sent from my X10
Download the original 2.3 release from SE (or rather only S;-) ) install it through PC companion. It will wipe everything though. If you do a backup of your current rom, you can root your phone when you get it back and restore the backup.

Just use the repair mode in SEUS or PC companion
Ok. Thanks but, will it recovery the original kernel as well? Because I have a backup of the firmware (rom), provided by xRecovery, and when I recovered it, the DomKerel still there..

dont worry kernel will also be stock one
Thanks again, but I tried to use the SEUS and PC Companion. However, both are saying that I've already have the most recent software and I cannot do nothing more. I'm desperate.. I have to leave home and take my X10 tho the repairing center in 1h but I cannot recovery this.. The rom is already recovered, but the kernel no..
What can I do?
Thank you a lot!
try restore mode in it.
If not then there are generic 2.3.3 or 2.1 files in thread flash them through flashtool
kernel are included in them
sorry the only working link I found was for x10i ....

Yeah. Flash this ROM via flashtool and after that You will be able to use SEUS, because it's android 2.1
Thanks for everybody! I downloaded a generic firmware and flashed this using Flashtool. Now, both kernel and rom are in the original SE.
Thank you a lot!
glad to hear

Is your bootloader unlocked?
If you have your bootloader unlock, it's impossible to make the MAJ by PC Compagnion or OTA
Make the MAJ by FlashTools with new firmwares !
Tapatalké depuis mon SK17i
No, my bootloader is locked.
Maybe the update is not available (yet) for your region.
Is it maybe a driver issue? Does the program give you a reason what's the problem? You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

If you still can't update to .62 via OTA, then just flash it with a WT19i_4.0.2.A.0.58_UK Generic(1254-1868).ftf. It updates via OTA.
Make a backup of your region's firmware though if you wanna claim warranty later.
