Has anyone tried this on the Atrix yet? How is it? Is the autocorrect still the same as the original keyboard?
here's a thread with a GB-kB that you can install alongside the stock keyboard, and it has the autocorrect fixed to work like the original.

installed the gbkb-en.apk on mine and it works but because of the higher resolution the keys look a little small for my liking
When youre in gingerbread or honeycomb and you have clicked on a section of inputted text a little orange arrow pops up, you can use it to set your place, copy/edit and other various things.. i was wondering if there was somerthing like that for froyo. I dont have a screenshot but if one is needed i can get one.
The arrows or text handles you see in Gingerbread and Honeycomb are part of the revised text select/copy/edit system that was introduced in Gingerbread. As far as I know, there's no way to backport that feature to froyo.
Damn, i thought that might be the case.. i like cm7 but it wont play mp3s, and i love honeycomb but its not developed enough.. so im using nookie froyo.. dont get me wrong its great i love all android i just want some copy/paste action!
Does anyone know how to flash multi touch keyboard back? I'm not quite happy with the gingerbread keyboard.

if you are running a stock device it should still be installed. you just have to go to the keyboard settings and change the default keyboard to the multitouch.
if you are running gingerblur or greyblur and lost the keyboard just go to the first page of the gingerblur thread and scroll down in the very first post as kennethpen was nice enough to include the stock keyboard apk
I just got my galaxy s 2 today n beim using it fr a few hours. Came from the nexus one n im missing pure android feel to apps.
I also cant seem to figure out how to get the dictionary working on the samsung keyboard or swype n i seem to miss the old keyboard layout too.
Is it just a simple case of finding the apk n installing it?

Gingerbread keyboard:
Search for "Keyboard from Android 2.3" in the Market.
is it reliable though? do you know from where i can get the actual one?the official one?
Sorry can't test it, my S2 is still on its way :-(
But I read about it and afaik it's ok.
I don't know if there is an "official" gingerbread keyboard for the S2, I think the one in the market is the best you can get.
Don't sue me if it's not true - This is just based on my little research
I have the CM7 keyboard as I much prefer it thanks to the long press delay option that the normal 2.3 KB does not have.
Just pull the apk from the CM7 ROM zip and install using the SGS file manager, simples

found it..but ended up using the Keyboard for Android 2.3 from the market because the keys in that are bigger!
Do you find that you don't get the dictionary come up in the email program though? It works in Handcent SMS, but not in email for me... (when using the market GB Keyboard I mean)

Hi
I don't think it is an official version rather it should be a mod version. I am using it for the last one week from the time i had S II and it works fine for me.

I installed the CM7 KB but I can't get the haptic feedback to work.
How did you manage this?
when i installed the CM7 keyboard, when i switch to landscape it cuts off the area where you would normally see the typed words, this is not good.
any way to shrink down the size, or get rid of the line with the extra characters?
I have installed SlideIT keyboard on my phone, I've also tried ICS Keyboard, but no one works for me, Im sure I have enabled it, but always appears the stock keyboard! Is pretty annoying anyone knows what can I do?
