I was just wondering if there are any guides out there to building your own rom?
At first I want to alter a stock rom, change colours and stuff, then just build on it from there. Any advice and tips are welcome thank you

I am very much intrested in Android Modding and theme development. I am working a a Theme that can change whole interface of a phone. but editing png's is not enough. I need to port some applications in order to have a more better mod. Can somebody help to teach me android app porting. Im sure with only a few instructions I can learn it easily. I have been searching for hours and hours trying to find it on my own but I can't. I'm trying to create a custom rom but without building it from the base up.
I want to take a stock rom and add modification ( launchers, themes, remove bloatware, ect) all those things. I just want to know how to add those thing with a stock rom.
If you could help me with that I would really appreciate. I have been helped by so many people I am deciding to give back to the community by creating a cool rom.
Could you help me out? Just how to compile all those files together? An example would also be very helpful

To build completely from ground up you need to be a developer.
But don't worry , there is a easy way of doing it, which is using dsixda's Android Kitchen which you can download from here
And and for a basic guide to use the kitchen - click here :victory:
