i got mine at my local mall. lucky for me there a ghost armor booth inside my mall. $15 FOR SCREEN and $10 for back.. so in all $25.

In the last six months Ive had a G2, G2x and two SGT's covered in Ghost Armor.
EVERY one of them have started peeling and the screen protection will start to look like orange peel after about 2 month.
I feel guilty because in the beginning I was telling people how great it was. As they all peel off, I go buy real cases that offer more than simple scratch protection and I would NEVER consider putting my Evo 3D in this stuff.
Hope your experience is different than mine, but I dont see how it could be.

Thin Hard Case?

Can anyone explain how flimsy/hard the flexishield is?
Im trying to find a case like this for the hero
ok well i cant find a link anywhere lol but my friend has it for his iphone. It was a rubberyish texture but it was a hard case, two pieces that slid over the phone (one top down, and the other piece bottom up).
anyone know of a case like this for the hero?
I'm using a rubbber casing its not that very thick and you have a good grip, a friend if mine had also a hard case for his iphone but it got very quick dirty and now he isn't using it. i used hard case on my xperia(still using) but if i comapere i like the rubber on.
you can find it on ebay and its not that exepsive i paid total 5 euro and thats very cheap. for the front i will suggest invicible shield. but i don't use anything for the front.
The one I bought for my Hero was a clear gel protector case that wraps around the case. It is not silicon but is flexible and waaaaaaay tougher than silicon. I dropped my phone by accident from about 5 feet onto concrete and it just bounce around without any damage at all. I got it off of ebay for like 5 bucks shipped. Just remember to get the gel and not silicon.
I bought from ebay (seller ID: sak.gaming) 2x FlexiShield. Shipped last 17th to my place in Malaysia. Bought it mainly because of favorable reviews I read from some sites
My vote goes to gel cases also. Cheap, durable and not as ugly as the silicone ones...
Hmm ok and what is the flexi shield like?

Lots of cases now.
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/cat/ToughGuard.htm?phone=HTC,Hero
sounds like the one you want
Oh and +1 for the flexi-shield
My clear flexishield is starting to get really dirty (quite noticeably). It's a great case and all but I tried cleaning it a number of times and it's still quite dirty. Rocking no case at the moment and no screen protector - hopefully some more third-party manufacturers churn out some more cases! (if only Incase weren't only dedicated to manufacturing accessories for Apple products - love their cases!)
Color HTC Hero
Do you have a black or white HTC Hero? Because I think the dirt wouldn't show as bad on a black HTC Hero, right?
White Hero. I haven't got any dirt on it either.. The case is the only thing that got dirty and I can't be bothered constantly cleaning the case.
I found this site, but i don't know about the quality of the products they are selling or is this site safe for online buying.

Skin for evo 3D

Getting one of those 3M vinyl sticker skins for my evo 3d (i had a voucher so i thought make use of it). they won't offer much protection but hey ho thats what insurance is for. I've made my own design up, just having a hard time finding a company that does the skin template i want cuz alot of them skip the sides or the front etc etc....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27455537&postcount=14
here's my evo 3D finally done (sort of)
Those are pretty nice.
Exactly what Im using on my Evo 3D I love it, still can use a TPU case if i want and even with this decal on I can still use my dock and my phone has at least minimal protection... here is a stock photo

i'm guessing that's from wrappz.....i asked them if they would alter the template to include some changes and they said to me to cough up £30 + the cost of the skin I would buy. The changes were to cover the parts of the camera hub and also the side bezel of the screen. The side bezels of the screen they've done it on desire HD but not on evo 3D even though its the same dimensions so i don't get why they did that
Yeah its from Wrappz, thats odd!
I have a clear plastic case anyhow so most of the phone is protected
Need to keep my little baby safe lol
i got insurance so i don't bother....i've made my own template at the moment, the trouble is printing it out on what's called contact paper because apparently it takes a day to dry and has issues with printing ....not too sure on that one
sneak peak of my new design =D
its done (sort of)
Ordered it from someone but it has a bit of a fitting issue, messaged him so he can fix it and send me out a replacement.....still did the best I could so voila
Changed the design because I wasn't happy with it.
^ super sexy . Who did it ?

I did the design ...then asked someone to print it out (won't say who cuz they made a mess of it for now)
I need to find the paper to do this myself because I think i have a decent enough template
A like this vavu

i will
silicone case
silicone case is very simple and definitely good protection
we do know those exist lol....this is about something else, not protection, its just another accessory

Anyone using skins?

I'm thinking about using full body skins instead of a case. Is anyone else protecting the phone this way? How is it working for you?
Sent from my EVO using XDA
I would like to know as well. I did that on original EVO, and it worked well. I can't believe how many times I dropped the EVO on hard surfaces and had it be totally fine. The LTE feels more delicate. But I really don't want to add any additional size, I already wish it was about an inch shorter.
I'm using the full body Zagg. But the HD screen protector. The screen protector is about to be replaced with a steinheil.
I also ordered a skinomi, but zagg ended up being the first available. So I should have the skinomi as well in another day or two and I can compare the two. Generally speaking the skinomi is less rubbery, and leaves less finger prints then the zagg.
All in all, I like skins as they dont detract from the look of the device, and they don't add bulk. I don't typically drop my phones so I don't worry about that.
The only downside to the skin would be the smudges and fingerprints. Instead of making the glossy plastic part matte like some people would like to do, the whole back becomes glossy. but knowing the skin can be removed a year later and it will look brand new is totally worth it.
Pics..

I purchased the skinomi full body as well and planned to use that with the zagg hd screen protector. My zagg has some indentations /scratches that have not self- healed after two days. I wonder if the skinomi will be better and does the hd really matter? I also considered a carbon fiber skin, but I don't want to change the look of the phone, and but yes, fingerprints...

I got the Skinomi brushed steel full skin. When it comes in and I get it on I will post some pics. This phone is huge and I dont want an even bigger case for it.
I am using the XO Skin. It works great. The phone feels so slim with it.
It will not provide much drop protection though.

I just ordered a matte-finish black skin from decalrus.com, waiting to see how that works out. (I used the zagg black leatherskin on my old Evo, this one couldn't really carry that off, even if it was available.)

I don't know about this specific device, but i have used one for my other device. I bought it because I want to keep the sleek look of the phone. It protects from scratches, but it doesn't protect much from being broken.

The Diztronic extended battery TPU Case review.

I thought I would post this up for those that don't want to go the otterbox or the modifying their own routes.

So far I have been happy with it. The fit could be a tiny bit better, but overall it's not bad. I first modified a regular TPU case and wasn't real happy with the job I did. So I looked around and it was either this, the VZW one(which I have for my bionic and it sucks), or this. But it was 20 after shipping so I went with the diztronic for 12.90, and I have prime through school. I'll try and post up pics later next week. I'll have to dust off the bionic to do so.
My biggest complaint has to be the fact that they left an opening for the power button instead of just creating a pseudo button like they did with the volume rocker. It also has a real good lip to keep the face up off of the surface of a table, ground, etc. It really does seem to offer decent protection against possible drops and stuff.
Also, no one paid me to do this. I just saw that there didn't seem to be any reviews about the extended battery cases in the accessories forum, so I thought I would add my experience. As I hate being a guinea pig on new products because I hate spending money on something I ultimately end up hating.

The one with the kickstand? I don't dislike it, it just didn't seem to offer that much protection. Lots of open spaces around the top and bottom. That is if we are talking about the same case. I didn't used to care that much about cases till I dropped my first D2 and shattered the face. Then I started caring. Fortunately since then, I haven't had anymore issues.
Anyway, for 13 dollars shipped, I can't complain. Especially given the limited selection out there.

Cosmetic Repair

Just a quick question, does Sprint do any cosmetic repair? Such as scratches or dints in the corner ect?
I dropped my Evo LTE one time when there was no case on it and it has a couple scrapes ect around the edges. Do Sprint do any kind of casing or housing repair?
I dont mind coming out of pocket to get it done. I would try to just buy the parts and do the job myself but these phones get more and more complicated to put together these days.

I don't think sprint will do anything as it would most likely require a new aluminun chassis. If the edges are just rough from where it hit the ground, you can smooth them off with an emery board or fine grit sandpaper.
Sprint won't do cosmetic repair even if you pay out of pocket. I tried when I dropped my Evo 3D and they told me to take it to a third party. It has to be something the effects the functionality of the phone for sprint to repair it.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
I never could stand the shiny back cover, but I just bought a lightweight, low profile snap-on case (not some giant Otter monstrosity), and all is good now. You might go that route... you'll never see the scratches, and its still thin and streamlined looking.

my opinion just buy a case preferably a otterbox u wont even notice it unless your screen is damaged
Go to Best Buy and pick up the 'Platinum Series' case. This is the case that I've used on all three of my HTC EVOs. It does an extremely good job at protecting your phone, PLUS it's really thin and comes with a holster. The corners of the phone doesn't even make contact with the inside of the case. This is truly the best case that I've used throughout the years.
