How to unroot back to stock. - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I currently am on att stock 1.83 rooted with gingerbreak and gladenable. But I am doing a warranty enchange and need to return it back to stock. I tried using the sbf file but after I put in the password" atrixdl" I get a error that something is broken and cannot open. I do have ADB working but have never used it before. Any help would be great thanks.

Just delete the superuser.apk and restart and you wont have root anymore simple

Take me back please

I thought I been wearing my xda big boy pants long enough,so I dug deep to get my ATRIX running 2.3.4. I got root, recovery, and flashed the zip. It bootlooped. I had no backup (I know I know) so I had to manually flash it using cmd and fastboot. Now I cannot obtain root access. I want to go back to complete stock 1.83 I think it is? Any advice for my inner noob?

You said "I flashed the zip" the link you just send it is GB by moto-fastboot way (flashing system and boot images) the reason I am asking is BECAUSE if you flashed GB leaked OTA by android recovery with update.zip file, this change everything and YOU CAN NOT RSD ANY MOTOROLA SBF, so can you explain what zip did you flashed?

You can use adb.

I was about to ask the same question. What has to be done in adb to unroot? I'm taking mine and the wife's phones in to complain about the call and signal issues, and just wanted to be safe.

You will have to mount rfs and rm busybox and su apk......etc. ill be at the house in a about an hour. I can send a link. But just search xda or Google I know its out there.

Can that be done in the stock recovery, or will I have to flash cwm to run adb?

Was able to unroot with Z4 root. But could not go back to root with that app. Had to flash su..... zip package in cwm recovery as usual to get root back. At least I have reliable and quick unroot. You may have trouble finding Z4 root as it is not on the market any longer. I had a backup copy. Am sure it can be found somewhere.

Unroot stock Rom froyo

Hi everybody
I have to send my gf's p500 in for warranty. It has stock froyo and is rooted via gingerbreak. What do I have to do to unroot it so I can send it in?
Unroot via gingerbreak and reset to factory defaults? Or do I have to do more?

Downgrade CWM on a CM7 Aria

So I upgraded phones and I want to use my aria for mp3. I'm getting an error flashing back to FR008. I found a post saying to downgrade the CWM.. Anyone know if there's a guide? Should I just unroot and re - root?
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Try using ROM Manager to install recovery. It should have the old version (2.5.*)
That did the trick. Thank you too much.
