You're to start download mode by holding the home button, the volume down button then the power button consecutively.

yes..i bricked my phone using rom manager

Seems like nowadays more and more poor soul bricked their phone using rom manager. Why in the world u install rom manager to unsupported device. Lol.
If u just want the backup feature in room manager(cwm), theres unnofficial build of cwm in the forum. Yes its still unofficial, but it works great.

Read some Guide about flashing our Ace. I sugest to flash your phone via Odin to stock rom (have to download stock rom files). Don't do this if you don't know what that's mean. U do it on your own risk.

good to hear that you got it back to life.. as such flashing is not that difficult at all...
thing you need is only ENGLISH and proper research for your own phone

Again, your telling the poor chap to do something out of his league.
Buddy, you need to take it to your nearest samsung service center.
DO NOT try to flash it, you will end up bricking it entirely to the point where it doesnt start.
Oh look, another one -.-

[Q] Rooting a no name android?

Hi all, not sure if this the completely right section but,
Back story: I had a HTC Legend and after an unfortunate weekend, the screen was shattered and thus I had no phone. I scoured ebay and found a no name android (as I wanted dual sim for ease of use) running 2.3.6. Now I had issues rooting my Legend, and so I wasn't keen on it with this phone, but I couldn't resist myself and I tried again with almost next to zero information about my phone.
All I can tell you basically is that it's running 2.3.6, a model number e1101_v73_jbl1ctp_a515 (although scouring of google provided me with chinese websites, and as such I assume that what it's running is similar to that of the Motorola XT91x series? If that helps). I've tried super one click (it hangs at step 7) and I've also tried '2.3.6 root'.
I'm not quite sure what I can do now, any further ideas or help would be appreciated!
If it's similar to motorola, maybe you could follow some of the phone's rooting methods?
I've considered that, but I'm worried it could brick the phone itself, which is something I don't want.
If you can't find out what make it is you will brick it by using a root tool designed for a different device

This is an absurd suggestion. You do realize that in order to nandroid you must be rooted? The OP is trying to root their device. They cannot even install a custom recovery if said custom recovery isn't made for their specific device. If the OP doesn't have any information about the device, how would they be able to find and install a recovery image made for the device?
i have some problem....... china phone, zoho A1103....and android 2.3.6
If u really want to root ur device at any cost then u must be ready to lose something if ur luck isn't wit u .. just remember one of our xda members quote "no risk no reward " so just trial and error method.. keep trying wit some other methods and don't know if it works but someone confirm this; if you r stuck in some step remove the battery go to stock recovery and wipe data and cache (factory reset) and reboot .. this way can save ur phone if its stuck while rooting.. try at ur own risk

Even if that mod works on gt i9100, it cant be used on your device as its alredy bricked and not booting.
Your last hope is usb jig that can be ordered from Ebay/Amazon.
If that doesnt work send it for Jtag service repair or to Samsung (50/50 chance warranty will be accepted).

Did you use its stock kernel with cwm? People have been hard bricking their sgs2 with it (stock samsung kernel from 4.0.4 with cwm) where even Jtag couldn't repair it. Their only way out is a board replacement from samsung.

Rom manager isn't recomended for sgs2 as it causes issues. Maybe it also caused the bricks people were having. Have you tried a fresh battery? If you did and it didn't boot. Samsung service center is your only way buddy.

I don't think so since your internal memory or emmc is literally wiped out (if the cause of your brick is the one i told you about). If fresh battery doesn't work and you did everything, your last resort is samsung service center for a board replacement. If you still have your warranty just tell them when you woke up your phone won't turn on and don't mention rooting, flashing etc.
Glad to help mate.

Try Odin happen to me once PC didn't recognize but Odin still did. Go to stickies section in Sgs2 section find stock ROM flash after I plugged in to kies and it did the rest. This method worked for me twice when all I had was a flickering black screen. Hope it works with U. Try to put into download mode three bottom press. PM if U need more help.

Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Guessing that you have hard bricked the phone, due to doing wipe on stock rom.
Not much you can do, a new motherboard is required
Can you enter download mode?
Download mode is entered by Volume Down + Home + Power pressed simultaneously when your phone is off.
Sounds like your motherboard is toast. you got warrenty? maybe theres hope
nope
no compassion at all.
If you had read just a little bit about rooting / flashing, you would have known that you should not do a CWM factory reset on stock 4.0.4 rom.
Just like here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756242
and here:
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/hard-brick-bug-on-galaxy-s-ii-and-note-leaked-ics-kernels/
...and so on.
I guess you have to tell your friend that you ruined his phone

Thumb up:cyclops:
Always remember to try a factory reset. If you can't even get to that point, I guess repair is a safe option you have. But be warned, this will delete all your phone internal data i.e. data on your phone's internal memory.
