1st thing is there anyway you can point me in the direction to download the original firmware because i really need it to unlock my optimus t.

because I have realize that you need service and I am not in the US
please and thank you in advice
When I was unlocking mine, I had to turn off airplane mode because it wouldn't work otherwise. Make of it what you will.

I've unlocked a Touch Dual for free, but that was only ONE.
I need one or two more devices to try the "solution".
If anybody feels like trying, just send a private message and I'll send you the instructions.
(The steps are very easy)
EDIT: Sorry, guys, this doesn't work.
I'll need you to go to jocky's thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395945
YES, this also unlocks the SIM! (Yaaayyy!!! .. ??)
I use this!!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395945
I need to use the search button first then...
B.t.w. thanks to the VERY talented jockyw2001...
But for people that couldn't unlock it with jockyw2001's software should pm me...
For example: KPN Touch Dual's shouldn't be able to get unlocked with that software.
Maybe I can help you.
You can also try this:
- Take out the memory card.
- Put your working sim card in your device and put your device on.
- Check to see that you have a network signal.
- Take your working sim card out of the device and put in a sim card which doesn't work on your device WITH PIN ENABLED
- Turn on your phone --> BUT DON'T ENTER THE PIN CODE.
- Now download http://www.imei-check.co.uk/NIKIv2Unlock.zip and open the software.
- Check if your device is unlocked.
(Normally the NIKIv2Unlock.zip gives you a file which you need to send to imei-check to get your device unlocked for 18 GBP, but this way it should be unlocked for free)
I had a *.unl in the same folder, but if I'm not mistaken, the software doesn't check if it's there.)

Hi to all!
I am about to give my Samsung Galaxy S II to samsung service shop. I have unlocked it, and now I would like to have it back locked.
Is it actually possible?
I've found the description how to re-lock SGS, but that doesnt work on SGS 2.
So, any suggestions?

Thank you for the recommendation! That has really worked, my phone is locked now!
But...
I changed HEX 0x00 to 0x01, it is locked, but for which network? I tried to insert its "original" sim, it thinks, that its another network and asks me to enter unlock code.
Well, the unlock code I have is suitable. But how to lock it for a particular MNC?
I've tried really lots of service codes. No luck.
The only one from SIMLOCK-on-off combinations that works is #7465625*27*# (enables CP lock).
Is it somehow possible to put the MNC code for the network, for wich the phone should be unlocked, via PC (nv_data etc.)?
Are there any other codes/ways to lock the SGS 2?

You cannot just reverse it like that, it would require more to be done, if anyone is interested I can add the info for locking too, but I think tururum will be sorted by my last PM to him
The problem solved! I must thank Odia for helping me. That is his method.
I renamed /efs/imei/keystr to /efs/imei/keystr.OLD and after that I had got no problems with entering re-lock key (the same as for I9000).
The phone was kindly accepted by service shop and succesfully repaired.

Hello, I need that information too. Please share with me. I would like to network lock again my phone that I can use my warranty. Please help.
Thanks.
My question is why there is no software that can sim unlock xperia x10, i mean access has been obtained to the bootloader and everything inside, i dont understand why there is no method to sim unlock this cellphone, other android cellphones that are succesfully rooted and hacked their bootloader are super easy to sim unlock just one button press like samsung galaxy so my question is why cant they acess the area where the lock is stored and erase it or replace it with an unlocked register, im really interested in this info, if someone answers me or points me in the right direction it would be really appreciated, im pretty sure there is no method and i want to create one, probably imposibly difficult but i want to try.

I dont have a technical answer to why its not possible but yes the answe is no. Theres no possible way to sim unlock your phone.
Galaxy phone capable of being unlocked already have the unlock code hidden in some file which we dont have.

I researched a lot about this issue and sent plenty of emails to unlocking site and only this one unlockcode4u.com reply to me the following:
Quote:
"Unless your phone prompts for the unlock code when powered on with a non-accepted SIM card, there is no known way to enter the unlock code in the phone."
I also found out that if your LG phone IMEI begins by 99000, the phone won't ask for the unlocking code in most cases, even if you enter the common LG sequence (2945#*740#)
I tried a local unlocking shop too and they could not help me neither.
This is quite frustrating
Any help would be appreciate
I cant seem to find the screen that prompts for the 16 digit unlocking code, if anybody has any idea how to remedy this it would be much appreciated thanks

IF I figure out how to do it, you will be the first to know. I'm going to try to install a custom ROM and see if I can get it to pop up and prompt me for a unlock code.
Teknokill
Almost every phone I've dealt with requires that you are on the stock rom to unlock the sim. Sure it's the same with the G5.
