[Q] Orange GB 4.4.20 upgrade to Ginger? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry about I opened a new thread for this question.
I'm not a noob', but I'd read a lot of threads to find the answer and now I'm totally confused. Too many different information in different threads.
I have an Orange UK Atrix.
OTA updated. The actual firmware: 4.4.20 Android 2.2.2 Baseband: 01.95.0
SL UNLOCKED, Bootloader LOCKED.
Rooted (with Gingerbreak).
Atrix 4G Recovery GOAPK.com V2.5.1.8 installed.
• How can I upgrade it to Gingerbread? How?
• Do I need to unlock the Bootloader? If yes, how?
• I'd read many times: "only for ATT". Is there any hardware or bootloader difference between the ATT Atrix and the Orange GB one?
I would be appreciate for any usable answer.

You need to unlock with PUDDING. Updating with a leaked GB OTA without PUDDING has been hard bricking phones when reverting back to older stock builds via SBF RSD flashing methods. I don't know if this applies for international builds though. Just do plenty of research before proceeding.

HOW TO UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER FOR ANDROID 2.3.4 (FIRMWARE 4.5.91):
WARNING: If you are on Android 2.3.4 (4.5.91) w/ a unlocked bootloader, do NOT flash back to a earlier sbf version. DOING SO WITH BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!!
Try the automated scrpit in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1182871
or
Try the sbf flash for 4.5.91 that includes unlocked bootloader & Root in this page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1138204
or
Try the original unlock method in the Main Pudding Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1136261

Atrix Orange UK SIM Unlock firmware

Hi guys I have just bought a Motorloa Atrix off ebay that comes unlocked but it is the UK orange model. I have a couple of questions regarding the firmware.
1. Do I have to use the Orange firmware updates if I want to officialy update the phone (for example when the gingerbread update comes out)
2. If it is the case that I do have to use the Orange firmware will it then re-lock my phone back to orange.
3. Is there any way of me installing a debranded firmware on the the phone without bricking it?
Any help would be much appreciated.

1. Yes you do!
2.No it will not!
3. Of course there is! Check my thread to Unlock your bootloader http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302423
Then head over to the atrix developer forum and choose a ROM to download. I personally recommend Aura or Darkside for starters. But if you like stock android without the Motorola stuff Cyanogenmod is great!

[Q] Unlocking bootloader for version.4.2.11.mb860.retail - blurred

I have a Korean version of the Atrix flashed with greyblur. I want to flash Darkside ROM on here but to do that, I would need to unlock my bootloader. Seeing as my version is a little different from the options given by the automatic bootloader, I went ahead and checked if I could flash on of the firmwares found here. Problem is, I don't know which of these I should flash to get 1.83 to FINALLY unlock the bootloader. Can anyone point me to the right firmware? I would be eternally grateful...
anyone? please?

Unlocking 4.5.141

I want to unlock my currently OTA updated Atrix running 4.5.141! Non rooted! The bootloader sbf is for .91 version. Will that work on my phone?
Just to be assured
I assume you're talking about the Automatic bootloader UNLOCK/ROOT method. Did you read the thread at all? There's plenty of posts in that thread that specifically answer your question (including more than one from me).
