I bin using litening rom v1.5 for like 2 weeks..everything was running fine untill 3-4 days ago my battery would drain in like 3 hours from 100%. After it drained i would try and charge it..it keeps freezing on the battery screen and changing all diff colours lile blue red green. When v2.0 come out i flashed it via odin. I done all the basics like wipe data/cache ect. After it flashed i recalibrated battery..but last night it done the same thing. Any help would be appreciated thanks
Btw when i go to battery usage 'Android OS' says 97%. I dont have any other apps running in the background nor have i changed any settings. Its all stock settings. I dont run any overclocking apps. Only root apps i have are cachemate, titanium and CWM

I have some problem to ask about the SuperROM:
I flashed SuperKernel and SuperROM for 1 day and half.
I also deleted some system apk that I don't really use.
For first, the battery life are very nice, the battery drop 1% for standby mode with open 3G(GSM mode) by around 3 hours.
But after full charged, calibrate battery, that some weird problem.
Before I sleep show 96%, when I wake up the battery drop 82%.
That mean, battery life drop 14% by 7hrs, so different by early 1% for 3hrs.
It is normal or there are some issue there?
Can some ask Superatmos come here view too? Because i cannot post comment on his thread
Hummm...u hav try it for how many days?cause sumtime the new rom need some time to stabilize..

You have some apps working during sleep .
Use better battery stats look at wakelocks .
Check rom page for update .

Okay. First: you got no question but posted just a statement.. Second: how should we know what's the cause of this? There are plenty of threads about battery drain in JB, so I suggest you read them first. Good luck.

Get rid of Juice Defender for a start. That app was created purely to Hoover money from n00bs in the case of the paid versions & to lull n00bs into falsely believing the app actually makes a difference to battery life (all versions including the free one).

Hey i have two problems. My first is that sgs2 wont stay turned off. I just replaced the charging port and now it wont stay off. My second problem is that my phone has a very bad battery drain. In about 6hrs my phone is 20%. I used Gsam to check what was draing my battery life and it was my Kernel. My kernel is a siyah kernel and its for jb and it says one kernel rules all. Im running Task 650 Aokp jb 4.1.2. Also it gets really hot around the camera. Thanks in advance

Download BetterBatteryStats and charge your phone completely to 100%... leave the phone alone.. dont use it at all.. keep the wifi and mobile data on for 4 hours+ and post the dump.. check for kernel wakelocks.. partial wakelocks.. to see what is draining your battery..
P.S - some tips.. keep your sync off.. if you are using the fb app.. delete and use it from a browser..

I'm confused. Do you mean the power button has failed? Or what exactly do you mean by "it won't turn off"?
When I power my phone off it goes off. Then about 10 seconds later it just boots back up. I dont hit a button or anything.

You need to find out if the problem is hardware or firmware related. Since you did some work inside your phone, it may be hardware, but you can test this by flashing back to stock and see if the problem persists.
Also, you didn't say, but wondering if the power button works normally otherwise. For instance, can you use the three button combo to get into recovery, etc.
...and also wondering if you pull the battery then put it back in, will the phone stay off?
It works fine and also the three button combo. I will try to get back to stock bit I tryed something and it kinda worked.
I turned the phone off and locked the screen at the same time and it stayed off. The only bad thing is when i turn it back on it drains to 3% and is stuck in download mode. Since it is stuck in download mode I have to take my case off and the battery out

I have tried just about every rom there is at the minute but I cant seem to find one that doesn't sap my battery.
I don't even game or watch videos on it I literally just check the internet every now and then yet still I suffer 10% drops for Just using it for 5 or 10 mins at a time.
Could anyone advise me of a ROM without the whistles and bells but is all about battery power?
Thanks for any help,
Andy.

Settings then apps the go to all the scroll down till you see Google play services and click on it then disable it... Well basically you won't get any push notifications like twitter or snapchat but most apps won't need this but some do so it's not for all people but it saves a lot of ? ? ? ? ? ?

I tried CM11 Nightlies and NeatRom (based on SlimKat). Both are great at battery. Decided to stick with NeatRom because it seems more stable. I'm not using any custom kernel.
The thread states do not ask which rom or kernel is the best. This was a question about which rom has given people decent battery life, not which has the best features or tweaks etc which is obviously all subjective. So to recap, I am actually asking the opposite, not which rom is best, but which has lasting power. Features or no features.
