Whats good XDA WORLD?!
Looking for suggestions on how to connect G.TAB 10.1 GT-P7510 to the TV...
I know there is one for the Ipad 2, but I dont think it has the same connector..
is there anything released for the G. TAB 10.1 ???

but the old HDMI dock with Charging port will work with some tweaks
Are you sure? How can I use old dock station for new 10.1 version? It is much bigger. it doesnt fit...

Only reason I'm looking at these over the OEM Samsung adapters is becuase they're 3 in 1 compared to Samsung's 2 separate adapters for USB and SD card.

Doesn't work.
I should've known, it didn't list P6800 in there, but I went ahead and gave it a try, and it doesn't work.
I thought any USB/SD card reader for the Galaxy Tab line was compatible with all Galaxy Tab devices as long as they supported USB OTG...
I got 4 of this one for me and my friends. They works perfectly. Even works with some usb stick the original doesn't work with !

If that cable can fit tab p7500/7510,and tab 7.7 then i woder why the one i bought above is listed to work only with p7500/7510 amd doesnteven fit my 7.7?
Okay, I just tried again and the adapter I posted above works. Turns out I just didn't push hard enough. Adapter works flawlessly!
I purchased a $4 USB adapter for my p6810 off of eBay and it works fine. I can't see any reason to pay $30 for the official Samsung adapter.
I bought the USB adapter for £1.80,
Works with 7plus and 7.7,

Anyone have a oem Samsung one? Can't find any. Do older models work? Can u put it into dock mode without a dock? How does it know it's docked?

Got the Tab 2 today and tested my dock stand from my Tab 1. I use it mainly for watching movies over HDMI.
Unfortunately it doesn't work. It charges but the HDMI function doesn't work. Pretty pissed of actually. It's an Samsung dock stand ans cost me $60. Can't believe Samsung changed something so it doesn't work.
Anyone know what Samsung changed?

Does it have audio out and does this work properly? If so I might buy to make an audio out cable.

that looks pretty good.
Using my old Tab dock too with my Tab 2! a bit tight but works well as just a charging dock! Did not know the HDMI did not work!

Audio out works. Had to load the Dock app, and/or change a dock setting. I had the new tab2 dock and returned it. I like to turn the tab landscape and watch the game, but the tab2 dock won't allow it.

I would say the tab 2 does not have hardware to do HDMI / MHL out. Manufactures are not in the habit of including hardware for no good reason and hiding it. To save cost, I'd bet Sammy eliminated the TV out chip.
As i read from other users, hdmi was found and stated in the first version of the manual and then removed in the next versions!!!
Lets hope it will be supported in the jb release (soon) stay tuned
You could ask the official Samsung dealer in your country
You could send dm to the user in this thread, he says the hdmi work with certain dock in our tab

Also, I went to a local radio shakc and I used that 30 pin to usb adapter and got a usb to hdmi adaptor on the end of it, and the TV detects that here is an input, but no dice. I knew it was a long shot, but just an FYI for everyone out there..
So does the Galaxy Tab 2 not support HDMI out? I have looked online and keep seeing no one haveing luck. I was actually kind of shocked to see this.

Yes, looks like its a problem with the 7" model. BUT, for those who have the adapter, are you testing it with the latest Software update ? ICS 4.04 or whatever ?
I have the german 10.1. No adapter is working, thats also what samsung told me.
So far I have tested 2 Different adapter.

There are some adapters on ebay (non-Samsung) that works with the tab2. I can't post the link because i don't have 10 msg yet.
You can just without the http :// and www

Also its pretty clear from the Samsung website. The 10 version has HDMI out , the 7 inch does not.

Is there a way to connect tab 2 7.0 with tv .
Mean is there a hdmi cable available to do so.
I was giving you a few links and then I started reading that they all said not compatible with the Tab 7.0. I don't know if that is the same for the Tab2 7.0.
Edit: after further searching it seems that samsung left out the HDMI hardware on the Tab1 and 2 7.0.

Fail! You never read the fine print. They all do work with every version of the Tab2 except for the 7 inch model that does not even have the HDMI capable hardware.

Most of the reported successes are on the American one, the 5113 whereas the 5110/00 have a 100% failure. I can vouch for that having unsuccessfully tested three different HDTV adapters on my 5110.

No. None of the p31xx have the hardware to support it. The only tab 2 that has it is the 10.1" p5113.
