Hallo people,
i have a question about bootanimation. Mine isn't working at all.
Does anybody no how to get it working again? Have all the original files in the right places. May it be that i've deleted something when i was deleting some systemapps and bloatware, does bootanimation needs anything like an app or something? Also i changed the build.prop for showing no bootanimation, but offcourse i turned it back.
I'm on stock KPH, rooted, Coolya kernel, CRT animation enabled if any of this maybe important.
Thnx a lot in advance.

Not yet, and don't think i'm going to do that for just bootanimation.
Hoped it could be easily and quickly done, but if that's not going to happen then i will take this for granted (CRT and everything else is working fine and thats what i wanted)

hi everybody,
i want to get rid of the carrier logo when i start my x10.
i searched on the forums for this topic but every phone has different file format for this. so not sure to use those other methods.
i also tried to get rid of it by deleting last few files in etc\semc\chargemon. this didnt work either.
i do not want to modify it but just remove the carrier logo.
i have a rooted x10.Please help.
Generally a carrier logo means you have a branded phone, be it orange, vodafone etc etc. Anyway the easiest way to get rid of this is to install a global generic firmware, i believe Bin4ry and jerpelea have a thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683793
i think its that one
hope this helps
Just delete the bootanimation.zip from media and you'll have the default Android logo.

Hello, I'm completly stock, how can I remove it.
Hi I have a Sony xperia z3 compact which shows the O2 symbol on start up & shutdown. I've read this forum that says delete the bootanimation. Zip from system/media but I'm afraid I can't find system/media. My phone isn't rooted does it have to be? I have file Explorer but I don't see this file pathway. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance
Since I got my Arc, the blueish theme has annoyed me, so I decided to make a monochrome version.
All black backgrounds, all grayscale frames.
One of few things (that I know of) that still is light blue is the progressbar.
The CRT-off animation is included.
Edit: This is now replaced by http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14836449#post14836449

As far as I know and have tested it's black in landscape, yes. But since I just made this yesterday, I may definitely have missed a few things.
Please report back what's not black/gray so I can improve.
Thanks,
S-A
erm is the file is correct?

Sorry, I forgot to upload SemcGenericUxpRes.apk. Added now.
Some of the pictures are in SemcGenericUxpRes.apk and some in framework-res.apk so both files are needed.
I also tried landscape and it certainly works for me (all things I tested), but of course I may have missed something.

Did you change the permissions ad this normally results in a bootloop, think you will just need to reflash your firmware, its happened to me many times
Sent via noahs ark
no cos i tough original files dont have to do that lol... how to reflash my firmware? I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1047484&highlight=repair but the flashtool did not detect any rom in firmware folder im using Flashtool BETA version 0.2.9.1
How do i apply this theme?
I couldn't just move the files to my Arc and install them.
Then what?
Please help
you have to use root explorer to move it into your system/app remember to add permission or els u will be just like me lol
I always use fastboot to reflash not to sure on flashtool :-(

Kernel needs standard bootanimation support, or somewhere there's a bootanimation.qmg file you need to change, I don't remember where.
Standard bootanim support will come eventually... But there's a bunch of more important things for kernel devs for the time being.

With root finally here I figured I would go ahead and port some themes for the US model.
DISCLAIMER: THIS CAN BREAK YOUR DEVICE, IF IT DOES THEN I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. IF YOU COME TO ME CRYING BECAUSE YOUR PHONE IS BROKEN I WILL POINT AND LAUGH AT YOU. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Now then, on to the good stuff.
ARE THERE ANY PREREQUISITES?
YEP. Root and an unlocked bootloader. Lol, jk. You just need root, but I got ya, huh?
WHAT IS THIS?
This is the first true theme for the G4 Variants with locked bootloaders.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
It replaces stock icons in your statusbar/quicksettings with more google(ish?) ones.
WHAT DO I DO TO GET THIS?
I thought you'd never ask:
1. Backup using Titanium Backup.
2. Download the file below somewhere you can remember.
3. BACK UP YOUR CURRENT LGSystemUI.apk (system\priv-app\LGSystemUI\) BEFORE YOU REPLACE IT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
4. Using any root explorer place the apk in system\priv-app\LGSystemUI\.
5. Replace the old one (THAT YOU BETTER HAVE BACKED UP) by renaming the downloaded LGSystemUI[insertcarrierhere].apk to just LGSystemUI.apk.
6. Change permissions to rw-r-r.
7. Reboot.
That's it. Enjoy your new theme. If you want to revert back just take the old backup that you made (you did make it, right?) and repeat steps 4-7.
WHERE DA LINK AT?!
Right here:
7/27/2015 (AT&T) (810)
7/27/2015 (T-Mobile) (811)
7/28/2015 (Verizon) (vs986)
7/27/2015 (Euro) (815)
If your variant is not listed above it is because I have not yet made it yet. Upload your *CLEAN* LGSystemUI.apk and I will have it back to you ASAP (if I'm not AFK then it will take five minutes.)

currently running it fine on mine, the reason why it is the green Andy is because it's a system app.

Yeah pulled it straight from the system. I renamed yours to just systemUi.apk and removed the tmo part. Could that be why?
