OverClock holding? - HTC EVO 3D

Is my phone suppose to hold an overclock after a power down? I had my phone off all night and turned it on this morning. I did a linpack and checked setcpu and its still overclocked. Fastboot is on I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not. If it does can someone explain why it does. Thanks for reading.

Fastboot option "hibernates" the phone, it does not reboot it.

I removed fast boot so when I shut down I lose root which therefor I lost my OC. I actually broke 3k on quadrant with 3009 but I took my screenshot with my app I got that required root but It didn't put a picture in the folder. I used the standard 1.728GHz because I need someone to assist me with figuring out how to change the variables. I need the know the program to read the script so I can change them.
Edit: Love your name btw, I guess maybe because I am currently on da EBT.

So with fastboot enabled I can powerdown my phone and still have root and overclock?

[Q]How come it boots so fast?

I have a question..
Anyone know why this machine boots SO fast!!?
Coming from Nexus S latest it was at least like a minute.. This is done in like 10 sec. Yes better CPU but I don't think it is THAT much to the CPU?
Guess RAM has a big part to blame to..
The CPU makes a pretty big difference when booting, whether it's a mac, pc or a phone. But I'm sure it's something else making it boot quickly too.
The software
Yeah, I was pretty amazed by that as well, first time I rebooted it I thought it hadnt gone down properly, its silly fast.
The apps go into a hibernate type mode,.its not a proper full shutdown like sonyericsson phones.

Shut it down, pull out the battery and it's still the fastest I've ever seen.

Evo3D ROOT RETAINED AFTER SHUT DOWN BUT NOT AFTR BTTRY PULL

OK MAKE THAT SORTA PERM UNLESS U PULL THE BATTERY...LOL
Recently i posted a thread where i was able quite by chance to shut down and restart my temp rooted evo 3d quite by accident. I have experimented with this method and it is stable, dependable and works, i do not loose root when i power off, and power back up.
Its as simple as this on my temp rooted evo 3d, hit the power button to get the shut down choices window, i choose power off (shut down) and as the evo starts to shut down and the screens start to change i hit the power button a few times, the evo powers completly off.. And i power it back on, and it boots up and has root as confirmed by titanium backup and cpu master.
Thats it folks... My evo 3d does it ! Wether yours will..i dont know..
It may ulitmatly depend on how you rooted it..not sure..

Remove the battery, do you still have root?
doesnt work for me
plus theres situations where 3D freezes and u have to pull out battery
so wouldnt call it permanent root
Do you have fastboot checked? Have you tried a battery pull?

Your basically fast booting it but cool story bro !
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
That because you have fastboot enabled. Uncheck that and power down. I bet you
$1,000 its gone after that

Not sure where fast boot is..but ill find it and see if its checked, and..even i.. Am pretty sure that if we pull the battery its going to vaporize the root...
Sorry didnt mean to make a false alarm..its midnight and brain is in sprint employee mode...( no i dont work there..just saying i was being dumb..) lolololol

Myrt undervolt settings for a first time trial! Suggestions?

Im on skinny 1.3 kernel...
I initially set myrt undervolt values all at half -50
Anyone have any good reccomendations for settings to still get good performance
Im new to this app" mainly used setcpu for last three yrs..
Alsp can u apply juice defender ontop of myrt?
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
I run between -50 to -75 depending. And it's stable and no issues. I'm also on the 1.3 kernel at the moment. As for Juice Defender, I run it, and have no issues with compatibility either. Hopefully this helps. Good luck.
is there a reason why the value settings dont stay once applied whenever i open the app back up theyere all scaled all the way to 100 then i have to reset them again???

After you reboot or just after you exit the app?

i forget who posted this before, but if you see this ill edit and post your name in here to give you credit, but i set mine to 1400-1000 @-125 and anything below 1000 @-75. its been workin well.

I just loaded H0Tkernal r5s1..and NOW !!!!

Well I was attempting to be able to over clock my i717 galaxy note...Had received alot of help from some mods and reg personnel here and I finally figured it out installed it and now my note keeps rebooting ? so what can I do am I doing it wrong ? I was and am still hoping to make this work I want to over clock my i717 galaxy note past 15 i was hoping for the 19 or 18 that everyone keeps bragging about ...can anyone help me ? :crying::crying::crying: hahaha I know this can be fixed ...thnx for the help in advance
Just pull the battery and put it back in. Hold volume up and down while pressing power to boot in to recovery. Restore using the backup you created prior to flashing; you did make a backup right?
As far as overclocking goes... a kernel, for the most part, will not affect how far you can oc.

I think i got it
Anyways I reloaded again...so we are clear I loaded h0tkernal-5s1 and now I didn't completely over clock it but I went father than 15000 mhz and it seems to be really stable.....YOU KNOW IN ALL SERIOUS...YOU GUYS ARE REALLY GREAT FOR ALL OF THE HELP......Makes me feel cool or important that someone our all of you take the time to answer anything from me..its a gift to be apart of something this great....thnx for all of you're help...have a great weekend......PHIL
You probably just overclocked it too much. If I go past 1836 my phone keeps rebooting

My phone isn't even stable at that, can't go above 1782 and iirc, that makes it reboot too. Not that it matters, OC really does nothing.

Mine doesn't go past 1836 either.... some people can go further.... others less...

When you oc and your phone and it keeps rebooting you need to add more volt instead of undervolting.

Yeah, mine rebooted on 1736 or whatever it was on benchmarks so I added a bit of voltage and it was happy. I run stock because it's fast enough though was just ducking around then.
Edit-used system tuner pro to over volt

How do I add voltage ? I don't see anywhere to do this

[Q] Impression Tablet i10 won't boot?

Hello! I've got a issue with my impression 9.7" tablet... It seems not to BOOT, I think I may have accidently left the file system READ only... I can gain shell access and see what's going on however I cannot get it to remount as read/write right before it turns off... Factory reset won't do anything either... Here's the logcat as much as I can get out of it... Ideas and recommendations on what to do to get it to boot back up would be greatly appericated!

TIA!
I got it booting again so nm delete this post.....
