it can only read the 3d style of side by side (sbs)
i beleive .m4v file type.
If you go on the stock youtube app. videos you can see in 3d will have a "3D"
on the right
itis capable to do both as long as they are sbs, a proof go to youtube and search for yt3d and ull find mad videos in 3D

Try tapping on it to bring it to full screen, and hitting the menu button. On Downloaded videos this brings up an option to play in 3D instead of SBS, idk if it works on online videos.

I tried that too, wouldn't do it. And when it brought up options it was the standard browser options

I don't have a "3d" button on my YouTube videos when using the mobile app. And yes the videos I choose have that 3d symbol.

i just put the movies in my DCIM folder with the pics and movies and they show up the gallery with your pics/movies i would like the know a way to access them through a player

Currently you can only play 3D movies in HTC Watch (like the Green Hornet) and the default gallery app. Start the movie, hit the menu button, play in 3D, and then OK. It must be in MP4 format though. I can't get any other format to work in 3D

The htc watch part is wrong. I have plenty of 3d movies on my sd card that play through the gallery.
hi i have looked around and i found that there is a very good android app
for 3d mobiles you can watch online 3d auto play movies you only need good internet connection and a 3d mobile .
corrantly there is a demo verrsion which its include 5 full free 3D SBS Brrip auto play to tray the app and if you are happy with it you can get the donate version which as it says it will be including 15-20 movies and everyday more movies will be added as it will be in the market on 19 jan 2012. here is the link.

the app in question is very "questionable" its permissions require many tidbits of personal info from your phone. gps... really? not to mention, access to a lot of much more personal info such as phone serial number and phone/contacts. seems a bit fishy to me
Considering this guy can't speak English and it sounds like a shady app for pirating 3d movies or something I would avoid this at all costs.
The MPAA will kill this app in no time flat.

anyone know why the movies are just side by side. how do i connect the pictures. am i missing a setting somewhere
After it starts playing, press menu and hit Play in 3D.
This is a great app for anyone with 3D phones. It does freeze even when on WiFi and 4G. It will restart from the becoming if you change the orientation of you phone during the movie.
I would love to be able to download these movies as well but this not an option and will not be one from what the developer said via email
It may be pulled sooner or later but its worth the price to see one movie I think.

Many of us regard the 3D feature of 3vo is just a gimmic, well, i might have a different taste. i can use the 3d feature to show off the one x user coz they don't have the 3d feature and coz i couldn't afford to buy one x.

Great ui but constant playback isn't up to par compared to dice player pro. I've tried several avi's and had the same results. It will start to play but I'll loose sound if a mms/text comes in and if I go to check my texts and come back the movies will play choopy and loose sound forceing me to restart the movie. Also if I tried to jump scene its a no go ad well same thing choopy video and loss of sound. Also the download speed of the movies is way to slow imo. If they made the playback better it would be a great app.

Maybe....I haven't had that issue. I use chubb's sense 4 rom and the 3d works well in video playing

Dice player, and mx video pro also does 3d with slide controls for brightness, volume, skipping forward and such.
I've tried 3 ICS ROMs now and each one fails to play HTML5 3D on YouTube stating something like "You device is not HTML5 compatible".
Never had any problems with any of the Gingerbread ROMs. Am I doing something wrong here, has no body noticed, or does ICS not support HTML5?
Some might consider this a non-issue, but I love 3D and YouTube has plenty of it and its simply something I just can't go without (whats the point of a 3D phone if it's not usable?)

Also, while on the topic of 3D does anyone know why some HTML5 3D videos play fine in 3D while other videos that support 3D will only play in 2D but still use HTML5?
Like I just installed a Gingerbread ROM (just to get YouTube 3D working) and though it gives me a "3D" option and Stereoscopic 3D HTML5 is one of the supported viewing methods it still plays in 2D. Only happens on some 3D videos though...majority of them work in 3D fine.
Example, if someone wants to try it and see if it works is this video (Doesn't for me. David 8 android commercial from Weyland Industries for Prometheus movie):

Mean rom ics (cdma). You have to search for 3d video, there's no option to switch it on/off. Use yt3d in your search to trigger it.

I was messing around with my buddy galaxy s3 and I noticed they can do this picture in picture kind of thing where they can minimize the video and still use other functions on their phone. I was wondering if anyone can implement this mod in their room or even make it available for the EVO.

or maybe he means this? i can do this with my computer monitor but it requires 2 different sources for video. so i can have my computer video full screen (via a dvi connection) but then have lets say a xbox playing in a small corner at the top through a different cable such as hdmi. looks something like this

No I believe he is talking about the "Pop-up Play" feature that the GS III introduced that lets you play a video, minimize it to do other stuff like text and browse while the video is still playing in a smaller "picture-in-picture" window like seen here. luisrod03 was also correct. Here is another app that let's you do the same thing but it isn't free like luisrod03's link.
Yes the app let me do what I was trying to do... I wanted to view a video while texting and doing things on the phone... Also when u tap on it it will go back to full screen but I do like that super app though
