Stable and Bugless X10 mini ROM? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Is there such thing as a rom that is bugless and stable?
For X10 mini? Thank you.

i think stock 2.1 is the best, no camera problem, no keyboard problem, no sensor problem

Stock rom is the best. No battery problems, no many forse closes , and everything is working but is more laggy than the other roms and you can't get the FULL capabilities of your device!!! On the other hand ROMs from xda's offer you newer versions and most of the times more stable than the stock one and you can take advantage of all the capabilities of your phone, but you may experience some hardware problems (and software ones) like audio jack detection, can't send or receive text messages ...etc. If you are not sure just use multiboot (Stock one inside the phone and some others in the sdcard)!!!
Hope I've helped!!!

I had reboots and poor battery life even with stock. As long as you use the right launcher and undervolt, battery is much better with cm6 and cm7. Latest versions of both are also very stable, fewer reboots and force close than stock from my pov. Camera is only issue with cm7.

but of course there are bugs...
LED color change is buggy on miniCM7, camera has no autofocus, so you can't read QR. For some reason I can't use flashlight toggle button on status bar like I can with miniCM6. Battery life & startup time is better than miniCM6, but worse than with stock firmware - definitely worse. GPS takes longer to fix (cold start, without GPS assistance data downloaded) than on stock firmware. There are still many bugs in miniCM7. The only better thing about it - it looks nice

Stock 2.1 is very stable, but I vote for Andread 2.2.9 v7f. Best Froyo ROM I´ve tested until now! Very stable, lite size, no extra features, everything working.

there's bug on the roms u must to try it ...

[Q] Original Camera APK SE

Hi everyone
Can i get the lastest Camera app from Stock SE Froyo 2.1update1 with all skills like face recognition and smile shutter on to Cyanogenmod????
i have CM6 [6.1.3]gingerbread[v01]
It is the only thing that i miss from SE
sorry for my bad english....
saludos
No, if the camera functions could have been ported dont you think they would have?! The devs aren't purposely building the ROMs with missing features, the drivers and app compatability have so far prevented the full development of camera functions in custom ROMs. If you want face recognition, full zoom and quality you need to use 2.1 ROMs.

If I (or anyone for that matter!) help you, dont be afraid to press THANKS!
mmm and some recommended app to test with functions like original app camera?
thanks for your time.
Hi,
there are some recommended third party apps like vignette or camera illusion.
I've found no version yet that supports zoom or Flash (if im wrong please anybody correct me).
Thats the point because i am a little bit critic over custom roms.
They are faster than stock rom, many are fast as hell.
But no really functionally camera is no opportunity for me.
In Froyo roms the Camera works good, i use the MIUI Camera for Froyo apk.
The SE stock rom ist the slowest i've ever seen but the camera app (except for smile shutter e.g.) is the best.

Problems with white photos

Have never used the flash on my legend before until last night. I was horrified by the bad bad overexposed white'ish photos appearing on my screen when using the flash to take a photo of a badly lit room.
Only when i go really close to something the photos are ok but otherwise using the flash is absolutely rubbish !
Is there an app or update or something to correct this ?
Running CM 7.0.3
AFAIK CM roms have the ability to make the light brighter than it should be.try another rom?
Have tried both 2.1 and 2.2 original rom for legend with the same bad overexposed result.
My friends legend running stock 2.2 also have completely unuseable pictures with flash.
Yes, I tend to rarely use flash and adjust my real-life background lighting and white balance to reduce that crap. I'm on CM7, but this problem persisted back with Blay0's 0.7, 0.8.4, and Stock 2.1 and 2.2, but that doesn't really matter.
The camera is great without the flash, the flash is only useful occasionally but then you experience shutter lag. I just use it for the flashlight
How come HTC hasn't tried to fix this since it seems to be a persistent design flaw ?!
I have the same problem with ogo2's ROM

Xperia x10 MP Rom List - What The Best For You ?

X10 MP Have Many Custom ROM. You Feel The ROM Is Best For XPERIA X10 MP
LIST ROM :
MiniCM7Pro - V21 + Lite Versions
GinTonic.SE | v2.5.1
SonyStyle - V1.1
GingerDX Pro v17
CyanoCream Sandwich v2.0
Well, i will test Dams one tommorrow and Mini CM7 Pro v21, until now my preferred one is CyanoCream
Sent from my MZ605 using XDA App
I test all this rom... and for me:
The Best: GinTonic
The Worst: GingerDX
Interesting.
I used GingerDX for a long time, and I loved it. (I didn't tested the other roms exclude cyanocream)
For now, I using Cyanocream v2.0 and its much worse than gingerdx.
This is really really slow. But its more beautiful.
I think I will put back the gingerdx, coz this beautiful thing just not worth it.
I tried all of that but the best for me is Ice Cream Gingerbread v1.2.4 by Plancton.fr based on MiniCM pro v21 by Paul-xxx credit to him...the ROM is upgraded to version 2 but not based on minicm pro v21..so i still go for ICG v1.2.4..
Gintonic gave me what i wanted.
im pretty comfortable with it.
i already tried
Code:
MiniCM7Pro - V21 + Lite Versions
GinTonic.SE | v2.5.1
SonyStyle - V1.1
GingerDX Pro v17
CyanoCream Sandwich v2.0
this one works best for me
Many people choose
MiniCM7Pro - V21 + Lite Versions

. I Used it and I can't play Video [Forcus Close] and dual touch is bad but this video can play good if I using GingerDX (Dual Touch good)
i tested all the roms mentioned above.
gingerdx - stable but laggy
gintonic- everything is fine but status bar lags. i tried even with slades kernel.
cyanocream- stable but small bugs. like default input force closes.
minic7pro- stable and super fast.
sony style- even its stable but little laggy!
There is no Rom Untouched by me...
And I Personally feel
MIniCM7-Pro is Extremely good....(Believe it or not Battery Lasted 3 days...With minimal usage)
And then comes GintonicSE+ZombiePanic Kernel.....
Interesting post, even if I think that (at least for me) "favourite" depends on time...
Anyhow, I'm writing about what I tested:
- MiniCM7Pro - V21: fast, no big problems, small minor bugs; it's a pity this is not developed anymore, for problems with paul-xxx's X10 mini pro. Vote: 8/10
- GinTonic.SE | v2.5.1: was never so smooth for me, quite laggy indeed. Latest bugs with it (e.g. Zeam crashes) lead me to look elsewhere. Vote: 6/10.
- GingerDX Pro v17: tested only a few days, it's the only one I found with a usable smart dialer (thanks to a resized phone.apk). Sadly, it's not updated since a lot of time... and still Android 2.3.5. Vote: 7/10 (would be higher if updated, I think)
- Flame.E v0.4[beta] (missing from the list): my current choice! Fast, smooth, no lags and no major problems. Furthermore, it contains internally my (two) favourite launchers (Zeam and LauncherPro). Vote: 8/10 (can get better in future releases, if any...)
MiniCM7Pro V21
For me it's still GinTonic SE the sad part is that this phone is already outdated and developers getting a new phone.. well may be this is the end folks.. see u with your new device. i'm getting one early next year i guess.. just wanna sip all the money i've invested from this phone since the beginning of the year..
I like CyanoCream Sandwich v2.0
Since gintonic+zp i havent overclockd yet as u dnt even need to oc, its damn fast. I never face statusbar lag yet, i think wiping cache and reinstalling might work...dltd all gapps and facebook(this stupid app never closes) getting 26 hours average battery backup, and 38-40mb free memory(i use beautiful widgets..it eats a huge rom though)...if u realy care abt battery backup and free ram u shud use cyanocomb...trust me i used to get 57-60 mb average free ram and 2 days battery backup from it. But u care abt gingerbread then i think gintonic will satisfy u.
Minicm7pro is also satisfyng and fast bt the wifi prblm makes me crazy
For me the best is Flame.E v0.4 by Eyama
Tested MiniCM7 v21, Flame.E v0.2, CyanoCream Sandwich v2.0, GingerDX v17
The fastest are flame.e and gingerdx, no lag, no bugs, wifi works radio works, smart dialer works, everything works. For me flame.e was even faster then gingerdx but i had better battery life with gingerdx and a "back button end call".
Installed ICS theme (with the blue letters, android 4.0 i think) and zeam launcher - for me and for now it is the best choice. More then 1h of calls and about 150 sms for day and a have average 2d 17h of battery life.
The radio consumes 5% per hour, some days ago i listened radio for 9 hours without turn it off, then i maked some calls and a lot of sms, and the evening i had more then 30%

can u post ur battery use screenshot after 2 days and 10 hours usage?
I will do better, post the best time i have reaced (with GingerDX v15, but the v17 has the same battery life). Without turning off the phone, without airmode, without wifi and 3g, only calls (total of 2h15m) and sms (about 350, was difficult to count exactly).

its a WOW!!
This is now, the first 7,5h (at work) I've listen to the radio, made 6 calls for total of 27min, and something like 50 sms send, and 50 replays recieved (100 in total). For me it is very hard use of the phone becouse of the radio...

[Q] Porting Sony Ericsson apps

Does anyone have an idea how to port some official SE apps to for example AOSP 4.0.3 ICS BETA FINAL, which is made to be as clean as possible.
I really would like to try that ROM and compare its battery life to KA05 ICS but I really would also like to have 3d/sweep panorama camera.
This is because I'm travelling to Thailand soon.. and two main things I am going to need there are good battery life and sweep panorama camera.
So is it a big thing to port those apps for non-SE ROMs?
If someone can suggest a good swipe panorama camera app (alternative to sony's), I also would really appreacite that

[Q] Which rom do you use and why?

Hi, guys.I'm here with a question.Which rom(s) do you use?And why? What makes you keep using gb, ics or jb?What do they have special? For instance, I'm sick of lagging ics roms and i installed cm10 and i returned to ics.And what i realized is especially Sony's stock camera app and other portable apps makes me use stock-based ics.(You would know how ugly the camera app of cm stuff is if you tried cm9/10.)'Nuff said. What are your reasons?
I was MIUI ICS for long and changed to pacman 4.1 and CM10 (4.1) all these ROM are not daily drivers. So now just wondering which is best config and Android version gives optimal performance on aging Neo Hardware.
I have Xperia Neo V with locked boot-loader and stock kernel .587. After trying several ROM I have settled on 'Ice Cream Pureness', with a few of my own changes, like Cyber-shot camera 7.1.2, Walkman, stock calendar, etc. This is very smooth ROM, with no bloat ware, and lots of free Internal memory.
MIUI
MIUIv2
based on CyanogenMod 7
I am Using MIUIv2 MultilangV4.6.2 because:
Lot's of Free Ram -> Up to 230 MB
Lightning Fast
Nice Battery Performance
No Errors like FC & etc (Only FC in Sync Settings)
Bright User Interace Easy to use good-feeling
Lot of other reason
I suggest everyone ti try it once;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599516
In my opinion MIUI v2(GB) is houndered times better than MIUIV4(ICS)
I use Codename X by eman
Why?
-Stable
-Fast
-Options
-Free Ram
-Nice design (but keyboard sux)
-And CyanogenMod is comercial for me
For now i using MIUI Australia v 2.11.30
After try other rom,for me this one is the great rom for my device.
Coz not so many custom rom for Neo L :crying:
Hi,
I used Sony ICS on my Neo V and I was all the time thinking to downgrade to GB. Now I have installed CM10 and I am quite happy. It is true that it is not stable and there are some features missing, but I have quite a good performance. I miss mostly the camera features, but there are some apps on the market that are really helpful (Vignette or Pano/360 for panorama).
Mine lol
im using my first rom BRABUS NXT for Neo V based on GB
1) lots of free ram [265mb at first reboot]
2)smooth interface based on Xperia Z
3) great battery when overclockked on stock 1024 gHz
4)nice performance
5) most beautiful launcher/systemUI/framework
try it if you like it
ROM Cooked On My Own. (Basically Stock Based, ICS)
Reasons:
-Able to choose selective apps & mods
-Able to theme the way I want it
-Stock base because it is bugfree.
-ICS because there are more mods & apps available which are not compatible with Gingerbread.
-Finally, don't have to wait for the updates!
Cheers

For now I'm using Gin2JellyBean ROM (based GB 2.3.7) by vokal1992. All I want just stability, no lags, music, and camera. And I think I got thats all in this ROM :victory:
Using Legacy Xperia 10.1 (2013/09/08 release)
1/ Its stable, havn't had any FC or restarts.
2/ The ROM is nice and smooth / no lag issues.
3/ Its Jelly Bean - maybe its a personal preference but I tend to like JB better than ICS.
4/ Quite a good amout of free storage and no issues with RAM either.
1 con is that my battery tends to last me about 12h I feel that the battery drains rather fast even with the screen off. However so far the above pros does negate this one for me.
I have been using the ZellyCream 3.0.1 with Stock ICS Kernel
Pros:
1. Nice look and feel
2. Install Apps directly to SD card - built in feature
3. Kill apps via back button, 30 Step volume, Skip tracks via volume key and many such small but useful features for day to day use
4. Very much stable for daily use
5. Good battery life
Cons:
1. Initially used to give quite a lot of free RAM, but after a few days and installing the regular apps, the amount of free RAM went down
Xperia Ultimate HD 5.0 with Alliance kernel.Fast, stable with unified and pretty design. Before this one I used Gagan's Zelly Cream 3.0.1 as my daily ROM,that one was good too but UHD 5.0 is faster and prettier.Dont like Jelly Bean ROMs because they have crappy camera and are often buggy.
I use CM 10 ... I used to run on MIUIv4 ... but sice I ve tried JB everything has changed ... ICS is slow for me and GB is old. I think it s worth of HDMI and 720p recording.
I just moved from STROID to Xperia Z Jelly Bean purely for 'beauty' reasons. I installed the ROM last night and have been really impressed by its beautiful GUI. I don't plan to play a lot of games so I don't know whether it can perform well for heavy games.
It's always a question of Performance or Appearance
I use 4.2.2 Mike's rom with few Xperia apps to get stock feel it's pretty stable also latest rom we can enjoy latest features... Only thing i'm missing is camera quality
