It's amazing..We should've had exactly this as stock. (It also just called my OGVO a 'tablet'.) It also doesn't seem to be hampered by 30 fps in carousel, and it flies....(no pun intended)
I don't know if anyone else is using their EVO as a backup, WiFi only device...I'm guessing with the Evo3d's release, that I'm not the only one...If so, (and I found this info in the Flyer forums) there is a free Market app called Line2 that let's you make free unlimited phone calls and texts over WiFi...It takes about 30 seconds to set up, and works flawlessly, assigns a new # based on where you live, and even includes a voicemail service...
Also, I found out that HTC included a native screenshot function in the Flyer (WHY NOT THE EVO3D, HTC?), that works WITHOUT that stylus/pen. Apparently, if you press/hold power, then press home, a screenshot is taken..Does anyone else know if that is still a working function in the port, and if so, where are the .jpgs stored?
I've included a few landscape pics that show the Carousel, the pull-down notification bar that has a scrolling Quick Settings section (different than ours) and that 'Line2' dialer...Am loving this ROM, it got me to finally replace the shattered digitizer on a backup Evo. Try This if you still have an OGVO...

Next trip to six flags I'd like to take some 3d pov videos of the rides.
I OC'd my phone to 1.8, found a friend with an iPhone 4, and explained to him how I could shut off one core on my phone, and it would still be over 2x as fast as his phone.
Also, I played WoW through it for about 10+ hours on barnacle wifi when my parents neglected to pay the Comcast bill (It was 500 bucks, I can see why... Lol)

It has 3D? This I must see!
I am using tweetdeck at the moment as it synchronizes with my tweetdeck account. I also use the desktop version as well so it's nice to not have the same tweets marked as unread as I switch from phone to laptop or vice versa.

Twidroyd is really nice. If you like to look at a lot of the embedded links in tweets this is the program to get. If you hold down on a tweet that has a link in it, twidroyd will open the link within the program super fast! It won't open you browser. It has the option to due so though. I find this very handy.

i have used everyone and it comes down to preference. if you want over 140 characters then you want tweetdeck or seemsic.
if you want the original twitter which is fast and reliable i would use Twitter.
i prefer Seesmic, you can do everything including see all your mentions and RT's of you by others.
Any body update to this yet? Should we as 3D users with 2.1.7 hold off or what? I would link, but yeah... I can't.

I updated still shows an icon to the right of 3d vids , if it sucks I'll just use TB to restore the old one
If you don't have an Evo3d well you don't have an Evo3d
Before the update I couldn't watch any video over 3g, even with full signal. Now they start right up, and everything is working normally.

Just do it on your phone I did it using the new market. Go to market and type in YouTube in the search bar, then go to "update" (its next to "open")
Thanks for the heads-up, will check it out. Never really use the Youtube app anyhow. And I have that problem where I can't play it on 3G...oh well.

I was scared to update because of the comments on the market but I did and it fixed my 3G playing issues. Works great for me.
Installed and running fine on my E3D. Didn't say anything about compatibility issues.
This really helped I couldn't figure out why YouTube never worked before. I must have had the 3g problem.

What error does it give you? Is it something to the effect of resetting data? **** happens to me on every phone! On release of 3D on stock Rom of course, I was able to get both Sprint Football and NASCAR to work after reprovisioning. I did make a TI backup of it once we got root! Restoring from TI is the only way I can get it to work, same exact thing on my OG also..crazy. Let me know if you need that backup!
Re-read your original post. Did you happen to change your Sprint banner to something else? I've seen that error in the past when I changed mine.

cuban..try this. Extract the zip and put the 3 files in you TitaniumBackup folder on sdcard and restore data only. This should allow you to keep your custom banner!
Yes we have to get the Verizon app again this year. That was perfect last year. I would have my tv on a game , my phone in a redzone and laptop for fantasy stats. These were perfect Sundays!

No, you don't have to be rooted to download it. But I believe you mean do you have to be rooted to install it, the answer to that is also no.
Looks like its been reduced in size on my rooted Evo 3D running Shooter Rewind. Thanks. Stupid question for ya though...Has this update been released yet as an update yet or is this leaked?

Just go into settings, applications, and install the update. It will take your market back to stock. Mine was super laggy so I installed it.
