New here so please tell me if this is in the wrong forum.
I have a Acer Liquid Metal on 2.3.6. I have a custom ROM T&L. It came preinstalled with Link2SD. I like to try lots of apps and this problem seems to be haunting me. I reset my phone on the 26th Dec as it was so annoying. I think I have set up Link2SD correctly. I have a 4gb SD with 1gb as ext2. Please see the screen shots attached.
If I have Link2SD, why do I still have a problem with low internal storage?? I have had to remove some app's but the internal storage always gets lower.
Have I set Link2SD up correctly? How can I resolve this problem?
If you need anything further please let me know.
Thanks,
Matt
I have the same problem

Hey all of you are getting confuse, this is the solution and it was already mention but maybe you get confuse... Using link2sd...link all your apps as normal, probably after a couple installations you will get low memory, but how is that possible... well..
Just download ANDROID TERMINAL EMULATOR from Market and install it(you must be ROOTED to use it).
Now just TYPE in Terminal:
su
a2sd cachesdreset
After this your device will reboot and you will get a lot of space on your phone... probably link2sd should add this feature on new version but IF not this will works ( i believe that some info stay on phone and link2sd can't see it but phone will keep showing it even if that is garbage or already move to the 2nd partition on your phone just do does command and that is... after that you will love link2sd and will never go back or use app2sd....
Tested By Me... On my Galaxy Ace

Hi Guys,
I own Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102. Its internal storage is approximately 180Mb. I have rooted the phone and increased my storage to 1Gb using Link2SD.
Now, i have installed around 25 apps and i link them all using Create Link and checking on all 3 checkboxes. Still, my internal storage is getting low. Now i cannot install any apps as the internal storage has become less than 25Mb
When i see the storage info from Link2SD it shows 650Mb free out of the 1Gb partition that i created.
I tried the solution posted above but could not do it. If it helps please be more descriptive
Thank You

an easy way to gain at least 40 mb of internal storage on this phone:
open dialler, dial *#9900#
and then select 'copy to sd card'
results vary but it did help me to regain about 40 mb the first time i tried it
Use ram booster as well as delete all the cache and try to install mount2sd better than link to sd I hope it will help you

You need to install link2sd plus, which enables app and data files to be moved to sdcad
So I have a nook tablet running CM7.1.0. I put music on the internal memory(copied from my sdcard) and every music player I tried ( Winamp,TTpod, Meridian ) and none of the files won't play. I've read online that you have to mount something in the terminal. Anyone wanna help a Noob Out?
I've been dealing with the same I have all my music under /mnt/media/My Files/Music but I finally found an app that can scan from internal folders too PoweAmp, is a payed app but worth it.
BTW: WRONG SECTION TO POST THIS, NEXT TIME POST YOUR QUESTION IN Q&A SECTION READ THE RULES (STICKY)

Couldn't you put a link in the uSD card's music folder pointing to the directory in the internal memory location? Hopefully with all of the newer devices coming out with larger quantities of on-board storage developers will begin coding to take use of it.
I have already tried with link, mount scripts but no go, good thing is that Team B has already fixed this issue, they got internal storage recognized and got it to mount to PC too. Can't wait for the fixes and new version of MIUI containing them.

Wait, Team b made it possible to recognized on the computer ? How?

intalled CM7 several weeks ago - in general everything's fine, but I still can't find the answer for this problem
there's mnt/sdcard (for external microSD)
and mnt/media (seems to be a part of internal storage)
but there's no mnt/emmc or mnt/sdcard/sd_external
I can place about 450 Mb at 'mnt/media'; however file manager says that there's 11.1 Gb available of 11.9 Gb total
how can I mount the internal SD?
or should I partition it somehow first?
or is there a way to "resize" mnt/media?
Thanks in advance for any help
Check out the repartition thread in general discussion.
Seems like a lot of stuff, but its quite easy to follow.
Thanks, mate.
Had no success looking for something like this myself. Doesn't this topic worth to get into some FAQ? Is there something like that for each device?
I tried switching my memory storage to SD Card but unable to recover the apps data from internal - when i copy and use it show two copies of the same data ? should i clean wipe and install all apps or just Root form EMUI 4.0 MM and move the apps ?
SOLUTION please !
