Swype 3 - XPERIA X8 Themes and Apps

Does anyone know what is the resolution of X8? cuz Swype have a lot of file that depends of the screen resolution of your phone. Will run in my phone?

Sure, the resolution of the X8 is 320x480 pixels.
EDIT: It *should* run just fine on your phone, considering my girlfriend has a Samsung Galaxy 5 which has a 320x240 screen and Swype works on it with no problems.

I know that, I was referring to the resolution of the phone, not the fact that it was obviously Samsung.

Screen too small?

Hi!
I'm wondering about what phone should I buy, and I'm really intentioned to choose SE Xperia X10 Mini, but i'm affraid that the screen is to small to many of the apps and games.
Can you give me your feedback about it?
Thank's!
As far as I'm concerned, the size of x10 mini is ideal for a phone. Of course small design means small screen.
I've been using a lot of apps the last couple of weeks since I got the phone and I'm not lacking the large screen size. Of course this is a mater of taste
Depends on what you'll be using the device for. For me, I've never got in to mobile gaming so I'm generally not bothered how a device performs/displays games. Apps-wise, I've not had a problem with the screen size for anything I've wanted to load so far. It is a small screen and the resolution is low when compared with more expensive high-end devices, but it doesn't bother me.
Thank's!
My choice is done!

Agreed!
Get the Pro because the keyboard is great and the size is not much different. Screen is fine for everything. I watch TV shows on it and its great, also web browsing is easy and not hard zooming in and moving around quickly.
I hope to use this for GPS navigation in car, screen might be a bit small for that, will test and find out...

I am planning on getting the X10 mini pro this weekend. I had prevously been using a TyTN2, QVGA screen, but about 50% larger physical size. Let's see how it goes!

What kind of app do you use to watch tv-shows? Did you find it in the market?
Screen size, resolution and processor are an ideal combination if a succussful port of android 2.2 is achieved by developers.
After rooting the phone and removing the unwanted app's, this thing cooks. The only regret I have is not buying the pro, although the keyboard does look dorky.

End of September??
No, end of september is for androïd 2.1
Nope!
Screen size is really nice!
I like the sharp screens (big resolution for small physical size)
My previous phone was nokia 5500 and player was Sony Walkman NWZ616 with 2.5" screen with QGA(320x240). Image looks really good on all of these devices!
Pro with HW keyboard is very good and size of the x10 mini/pro is real size of a phone, not the big fat TV/game-pad.

Wallpaper Resolution

Hi all,
I have just updated my system to the official O2 2.1. However, the wallpaper does not take the normal 800*444 anymore.
Does anyone know what's the resolution for the 2.1 wallpapers?!
Cheers!
Hi all,
I don't know if it's just me being stupid or others have the same problem with it.
I have been asking and searching around different forums to find a solution to this problem, but no one seems to have any ideas.
So I decided to play around with different resolutions.
This one works quite perfect for me, it fits in within the orange crop box.
Give it a try guys and tell me what you guys think.
Resolution: 747*298 (i knwo it's a wierd resolution, but it works perfet)
Cheers!
Try 1000 x 400 I think that's it.

DPI into RES.

hello again this time i just wanted to know what dpi is equal too in resolution terms..
i want to know what 80dpi means in resolution so could someone answer me like
80dpi=1280x720 or 80dpi=XXXXxXXX can someone say what exactly is it??
The dpi gives you information about the relation between resolution and size of the screen.
So a huge screen (50") with just a 800*600 resolution has a really low DPI, and so the picture has quite a low quality as you could se every pixel. Modern phones have quite a huge resolution on a really small size. So some even have such a high DPI that you can't even see a single pixel just with your eyes which means a much better quality.
But you cant say ABC-DPI mean X-Y-resolution, its just a relation between size and relation.
oh ok well i manually changed my aces dpi to 80 and it says its resolution now is 960x640 so is that good or bad?? plus i got an 100% replica of the ics 4.0(its a theme) so im really lovin my ace now

Make sure you are close to stock DPI. I had mine set at 220 (regular 320) and nothing lined up. Went back to stock and everything works great.

Will there be support in the future for tablets? It is an awesome application! Excellent work.
So I made the mistake of installing this on my Optimus G without reading about supported resolutions first. I have also an Oppo find5 I would very much like to use this with
However. My code was already entered on the OG. How can I get my code from the app? I've tried submitting my email and it says I'll get an email about my code shortly but I haven't yet. Just curious what to do next. . .

You can change font size but again thats not resolution. Your tablet is running highest resolution by default so you can't increase it

You don't understand resolution. Its not the same as zoom but zoom is what you want to lower.
you could go into developer options and change zoom manually if you wan't a more granular control.

Lol I am not the OP. I do understand screen resolution. I've got a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and a Galaxy Tab S7+.
On the Note, you can change resolution between QHD and HD+ and even 720 I think. On the tablet there are no such options.

That's there on the phone mostly to save battery life(personally never use it), on a small screen it might be an ok trade off. I don't think many people are dishing out 800+ on this tablet to run at 1080p, just to save 30 min of battery life. There are apps in the app store that will let you do this. BE VERY CAREFUL you can SOFT BRICK your tablet.
Edit: Did not read the full post before answering. The DPI setting is not a resolution change, you guys are right. Sorry... Will leave the answer below anyway as it might help someone.
----------
You can change the DPI (named "Minumim width") on the Developer Settings.
I know that on most phones you can go as high as 597 without triggering tablet mode.
On a tablet the sky (and the graphical performance and glithces) is the limit, but i've tested here on my Galaxy Tab S7 and could go so far as 1800 without big issues.

Thanks for this, but could you please clarify if this would work from the device itself without needing root?
I am rooted therefore I don't know...Anyway, "su" command is for calling root permission on linux so I think root is needed.

Yeah that's what I suspected because the su command didn't work when I tried it.
Thank you very much for your reply by the way.
No problem...actually, most of tweaks or upgrades needs rooted devices therefore some questions about non rooted devices are obsolete.
Therefore, when you see some cool feature or tweak, expect root permission.
How do you make the MW change stick/permanent? Every time I change the dpi it is different when I next check.
