[Q]Bootloader Stuck at SD Checking... - HTC Aria Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I go into the bootloader, it gets stuck at:
SD Checking...
Loading...[LIBEDIAG.zip]
I've searched the memory card and found nothing. Is it a problem with alpharev?
Nevermind, just takes 4 minutes to finish every time. Still curious as to why though.

It should mean that you have a file named LIBEDIAG.zip on your SD card. If so delete it.
But if you don't, then try reformatting your SD card perhaps.

SD FAT Update Failed

I tried flashing my 3125 to the latest official ROM via the nbh from RUU_STAR100_4.1.502.5_02.79.30_CWS_SHIP.exe in bootloader mode.
It gets as far as the "Update SD image?" screen, I press the button to start the update process, and I receive an "SD FAT Update failed !!!" error.
What am I doing wrong? Have I bricked my phone?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated...
Sounds like your SD card is not formatted with FAT32. Verify that it is, or just reformat it and make sure the file is correctly named, resides in the root directory and is the only thing on the card. Reply back on what you find.

I reformatted the card to Fat32, downloaded the RUU again, and extracted the nbh file it to the root directory of my microsd card, as STARIMG.nbh, and still got the same SD FAT update failed error.
(I did not use a volume label, and double checked that my card was in fact formatted in Fat32, which it was)

Is your microSD card from Sandisk? My girlfriend was experienced the same problem (well, I was messing with her cellphone, don't tell her LOL), untill I tried my Kingston card. No idea what is the difference, both cards were with NO errors at all...
Try using few different microSD cards. And format them with the Panasonic SDFormatter only.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm almost certain it's a problem with my phone, and not the microsd card.
I tried using the same card to flash a different 3125, and was able to do so without incident - so, I've pretty much concluded that my other phone is shot.
(Oh, and for the record, it's not a sandisk card, it's an AData one)

Blank SD card... again.

Hi!
I've got a big problem and the thing is I don't know if that's with my phone or SD card.
To begin with, I have class 4 EMTEC SD Card (4 GB). I bought it about 3 days ago so it's quite new. My rom is Mik-os' CM7 and the problem is that every single time I copy something to or from that card and something bad happens (e.g. my PC loses connection with phone when copying files, or I tap "Turn off USB connection" on my phone too early) it results in "Blank SD Card" error and I must partition card every single time it happens. As you know, it can be quite frustrating, as I have most of my apps on SD card.
From my description, you may think that this is clearly my SD card's fault. But, the same thing happened earlier with my 2 GB SD card that came with my phone. I couldn't delete nor save anything on it using android's USB function, I had to do everything using recovery menu. And my my ROM that time was LOL 1.4.2.
So, my question is - is that my phone's fault or it's rather my SD card?
Also I have one bonus question - is there any way to backup apps installed on SD card? (But I'm not talking about TitaniumBackup, what I mean is if I can copy any folder to the computer, and when the "Blank SD card" error appears, just paste it to SD card and have all apps again.)

Well I have this problem with Void.Forever ROM. Do not format it, just reboot your phone after this issue
Well, I tried rebooting, I tried to remove and insert the SD card again, but it didn't help and I always end up getting "Blank SD Card".
Its a bad sdcard. I had this problem on stock froyo too. Please replace your sdcard.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App
The card that comes with the phone is pure junk, so the experience with that is irrelevant. Other than that, use USB card reader in PC. If it is dead, just RMA it.
As for the backup - the apps are in .android_secure folder. Nowever, this is not really a solution, you would have to backup the entire SD card, lots of other application data are scattered across all different directories on SD. Worse yet, if you backup the phone via recovery, it gets lost.
try using panasonic sd formatter and format ur sdcard create ext partition if u have atleast class 4 orelse dont and see if the prob persist

Damaged SD card

I am running CM7 Alpha 3. It suddenly said "Damaged SD Card" and I may need to reformat it. webOS can use it without problem. I also connect it to windows and do a disk check there. However I still can't mount the SD card partition in CM7. Any idea?
OK I format SD card thing and Android still won't read it, saying the SD card is damaged. Help?

I think your SOL and have to reinstall an android build.
This is a bug that happens when you have more than 50 apps installed on the sdcard.
You need to goto .android_secure and delete a few files to get under 50. I have also heard that if you goto manage applications you could remove a few apps that are installed on the sdcard.

[Q] "SD Card damaged, Format" -- but not really damaged?

"SD Card damaged, format"
I get this error frequently but my SD card is new and not actually damaged. I have to mount the card to access my SD card. How can I fix this error? It is quite annoying and I'm worried that my SD card is actually damaged even though I can still access my files.

You can try and format it in the phone if it has no data on it yet.
I want to do that but I'm not sure which file system to use. I have files over 4GB, so FAT32 is out of the question. The default one may be the one that's causing the problems. Not sure which one is best for an Android phone, specifically a Galaxy S4.

If the Memory Card is 64GB it will default to extFAT. If it's 32GB defaults to FAT32.
Ok, I'll try that, thanks.

sd card write permission problem

Hi
I've noticed about two days that when i delete a file or folder on my sd card, after a reboot, the file or folder does appear again. I've also tried creating a folder or a file, but after a reboot, they are gone.
the sd card is a scandisk 32gb sdhc, I'm running RR 4.0.7 rom, kernel is Dorimanx 9.40.
things I've tried:
format the card through recovery, remove the card and insert in a card reader and format no success.
through recovery, it says format successful but after a restart, the files and folders are still there.
on windows, using disk manager, formating unsuccessful and using sd formatter, I'm advice to switch off the write protection. switched on and off on card reader just to see but same message.
any suggestion would be appreciated.
ps: also used linux live cd, boot, tried to format from there but no success.
Looks like its an issue with the SD card mate. Try another card and see first.
