[MOD] Disable Wallpaper Scrolling in MIUI Launcher - XPERIA X10 Android Development

OK guys, this is an awesome mod I came across while browsing MIUI Android Forums.
I tried it on Cobrato's and Trip's MIUI ROMs (both Froyo and Gingerbread)
and it works great!
What it does is disable wallpaper scrolling in the MIUI Launcher,
so when you flip between homecreens, the image will remain static.
All credits go to roenano and his thread.
HOW TO:
1. Download this file on your PC.
2. Extract the content of the zip to any folder on your computer.
3. Reboot into xRecovery.
4. Connect your phone to the computer via USB.
5. In xRecovery, go to Partition Options and select "Mount /system".
6. On your PC run "AutoModder.bat" file.
7. Follow the instructions.
This procedure will mod your Launcher2.apk and create a backup of the original one,
so if anything goes wrong or you just don't like the modification, you can easily switch back via the same tool.
As always, use it at your own risk!
Furthermore, for Photoshop users, I have created a .psd file that will help you create your own single-page wallpapers! Grab it from here.

I have the 64bit JRE installed on my Windows 7 x64 but the Automodder app throws up tons of java errors.
Bah!

Whoever is facing issues with the AutoModder bat file, pm me with your Launcher2.apk and I'll do it for you!

Sorry to complain, but wrong section, Mods (not moderators) should be in themes and apps section.
Cheers.

I thought of posting it there, but it's not a theme nor an app, per se,
it is a tool and a tutorial for modding system files using a PC, so I felt it was more
fitted in the development section. Mods can move it if necessary, no big deal.

Howdy -
Do you have another link for the modded Launcher or for the tool with which we can disable wallpaper scrolling? The link in the OP is not working unfortunately.
Thanks.

Themer framework-res corrected
Hope you enjoy
Tested in Mini Pro
Flashed your theme on a freshly installed CM 6 3.03. I've got the icons but no modded notifications bar nor reboot menu. Any ideas, suggestions ? And also in CyanogenMod settings there are no other themes than stock ones. Should I unzip the archive into CMtheme folder on SD card ?
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
I did a little browsing and found that Xeno CyanoGen theme has an extra zip that if I understood corectly should be placed inside CMtheme folder. It contains a .xml file. Just sayin.
I put the theme xml attach, just extract and copy to the sdcard CMthemer.
but not needed here
It seems I can't get it to work, status bar icons won't change. That's a shame coz out of all the themes this was the most beautiful.

[GUIDE] How to edit and replace your battery animation.

Alot of ppl wonder how to change the battery animation so here you go.
I know that it can be done manually by extracting .apk and then editing the files,
but using UOT Kitchen is just too damn simple so why even bother.
Even tho UOT Kitchen is easy enough some of the users dont know what to do there so imma take some screenshots to break it down.
1. Use Root Explorer or any other method to get framework-res.apk from /system/framework
2. Head to UOT Kitchen and upload your framework-res.apk as shown on the screenshot.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. After the file is uploaded move to Battery tab and pick out wich animation you want for ur framework. You can also check out bootanimations... the list they have is quite good, but you have to know where bootanimation.zip is located on ur ROM.
4. After clicking Generate Preview you can head to Summary tab. Everything should be green n "Submit work to kitchen" clickable. Do that... click that damn button and head to pickup page. It shouldnt take longer than 5-10m. Dont forget ur order number tho.
The file will comes in .zip form what can be installed trough xRecovery - "Install custom zip"
You can also extract the .zip and push framework-res.apk to its place manually.
Thanks to user propc who made a script for changing framework so its quite easy. Script and tutorial on using it at.
And tyvm UOT devs for making life easier.
I have used UOT Kitchen to edit frameworks of different 2.1 and 2.2 ROMs so it should work on all of em.
Back up your rom before making any changes cause editing system files can brick your device.
Reserved.

You have to upload your framework.res and systemui.apk so the themes are generated specifically for your rom.
It is a great tool for making themes, I have made three this morning it really is brilliant will upload a pic of my latest theme shortly
I have tried doing this loads of times, but when it comes to uploading framework-res and systemUI it just gets stuck on uploading. Does it take a really long time?
Thanks
EDIT: Never mind it's working now

Not ever so, try clearing your cache on your browser and try again. Should take around 5mins or so to upload both files depending on your connection

[MOD] DefaultThemes.apk -ICS (NEW THEME 09.May.2012)

I made this for Ray but I thought it would work for Neo as well (& probably Arc/S too) but I had no way of knowing since I don't have these devices.
Today, somebody said it works for Neo.
And so, I opened a new thread here.
I'd prefer, however to keep the same thread I made in the Ray section.
Just follow the link below or click on the image for downloads.
Thanks. Enjoy!

When I started in Android modding I was very affraid to use things that were not confirmed to work on my first phone (an old Galaxy ACE GT-S5830i) because I was really worried about to brick my phone. Now I have much more knowledge and a brick is not a problem, just reflash and all ok. So I posted this to those new people that, like me when started in this, doesn't know if a mod works on the phone or not.
Anyway thanks for your opinion
