Is there any way to adjust the haptic feeback intensity on Atrix?
I have not seen any menu. The only thing I have seen is on/off.
Maybe someone how knows how to edit the framework might be able
to add it
I'd love to see that too. I had a first series Atrix, and I found the haptic feedback on it ideal. But the newer Atrix's have a *far* weaker intensity, which I do not like.
I would love the ability to set the baseline level.

I've noticed that too! You can barely feel it on the new phones. I really prefer the way it was when they first came out.
Why can't they give users a way to set the intensity? It's not an iPhone, for god's sake.
Well, surely, this is something that should be easy for some developer with insomnia to put together, right?

On my SGS, you can change this in the stock settings.
"If" it's the same on the Atrix, then go to settings -> sound -> vibration intensity...

I think cm7 includes the setting.

If that's true, then that's something to look forward to at least (once CM7 becomes available for the Atrix). Thanks!

Just finally upgraded my eris for the rezound and am missing the trackball LED notification for emails, missed calls and text messages. Is there any chance that the devs can use the red soft keys for a notification option?
Thanks for your hard work.

Yeah, great, you can bash the guy for his mistake. Now if you're not going to contribute to the topic then stop posting. He only needs one post telling him.
@OP I've seen it done on samsung devices (BLN) and I'm assuming it can be done on our device too. We just need a kernel to support it.
I have been thinking the same thing. I had a Droid X and then upgraded to a Nexus, which I switched out for a Rezound after suffering from the horrible radio and speaker issues. Both of these had large, bright notification LEDs, and I'm really missing it. The tiny light on this phone may as well not even be there. I had the same thought as the OP. If one of the talented devs out there were to make this an option, I would be eternally grateful and it would make this an even better device!

LightFlow can control softkeys on some devices. I'm still on Droid2 myself but was actually wondering about the LED light. Is it just small? How is color support?
LightFlow has a free version also, don't remember if softkey control was a paid feature or not, but if someone could try it out and report back... Thanks in advance!

The led is small and insignificant and only supports like 2-3 colors. ill try and see if this works
Update: I can't even find the option in lightflow.

In the paid version anyway:
General ssettings, LED hardware control-Experimental, Button backlight control
Once I enabled it there, it then became available in individual notifications.
LightFlow does automatically fade out options not available on a device, but should still show up.
Anything there on Rezound?

I have the paid version of Lightflow, but the button backlight LED option is grayed out. It does have a caveat saying that if I ran as root, I would have the option to set it as solid. I haven't rooted it as of yet. So, if someone that has Lightflow and root would be willing to check it out, that would be great.
Also, it says that it found a "charming-LED" that can be controlled. I set it to use it, but nothing worked when I tested the notification. It also has the caveat about being run as root, but it isn't grayed out. Does anyone know what the charming-LED is?

Nothing seemed to work, I bought it and tried it and then just refunded, neither the soft key light control nor the "charming-LED" seemed to do anything.
id personally love to see this and be happy to test if work begins on it
+1
would love multiple colors for the led besides your typical amber and green. the soft keys will eventually come as well as configuring auto brightness levels

I just wish HTC hadn't put such a crappy light in to begin with. I don't understand why some manufacturers continually overlook how helpful LED notifications are. They are one of the best things about an Android device in my opinion.
I'd also be happy to test if anyone wants to try to get the soft key lights working.
The charm led is that lame thing that the Rhyme has for girl's purses. It is supported by the Rezound so that is why it shows up as available hardware even though the rezound didn't come with it.
I found that one other person posted this in the Shostock thread, so I figured I'd at least ask. I'm currently on Shishir's ICS rom, but I noticed it also on the UCLC2 leak: when I get an incoming call, the ring volume starts off very quiet for the first half-second or so, then immediately jumps to the set ringing volume (which for me is pretty high). Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there any fix? Or is it a bug that's well known and not yet fixed and I'm just an idiot? Any help would be appreciated
A lot of Samsung phones have the Increasing Ringtone. When I had the Samsung Eternity, it started with low volume then jumped to a higher volume, same with my Samsung Captivate. I think it's one their "features" for their phone.

Does anyone have any useful information about this at all? Is it even happening to anyone else on custom ICS roms?

Increasing ring, you can remove it by modding it.
Shostock, Phone-Bricker, not sure what else have removed it so it doesn't do that.

Soft keys, key presses, keyboard.
At this time I believe there's no way to adjust it, and it's low on the priority list since it's not adversely affecting anything.
And as to the vibrate when you unlock the screen, I've not found a way to disable it. Seems every thread I've read about it says you can't disable it right now. Hopefully in a future update but it's definitely low on the priority scale for me anyhow.
Please tell me how to reduce vibration intensity on lock screen.
Thanks

This is simple... Just use the Fluxi kernel. You can adjust the intensity using the xxtweaker app
Foxhound rom has an option to reduce the intensity of vibration. It is the only aosp rom with that option i think.

Yuuuuup! There's no way to do it on stock AOKP, but you can if you flash ktoonsez's Fluxi kernel(which has been reported to work amazing with AOKP). Launch xxTweaker -> Sound and Vibration -> Vibration intensity -> BOOM
As many of you know, there are high numbers of so-called "tweaks" you can add to your build.prop for "performance". However, after testing some of them I noticed quite a few actually hindered performance. I am not a follower of these "placebo" affects as many are consumed by. I stumbled across this article which was written by someone who shared the same results. Sort of a MYTHBUSTERS but for build.prop edits.

WARNING:
Using this mod may decrease battery life, decrease screen life and/or quality, cause overheating, cause your phone to blow up or cause other damage to your phone. Use at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damage this mod causes to your phone.
This Mod will increase the max brightness of your phone by about 10%.
Note:
Auto Brightness must be turned off for this to work.
Root is required for this Mod.
Instructions:
Download and run app attached to this post.
Or. ..
echo 1 > /sys/class/backlight/panel/auto_brightness
If you reboot or enable auto brightness you have to run it again.
The best way to tell if it worked would be to run it when your screen is already at full brightness. You'll see it go a bit brighter.
Tested on T-Mobile Note II, but this may work in many Samsung Galaxy phones.
