[Q] App to transfer all data from an Android phone to another? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
Do you of an app, that let's you transfer all data (contacts, sms, pictures, calendar etc.) from one android phone to another? In this case, from a broken SGS2 to another.
I know I could backup contact to google and sms with smsbackup or similar, but I'm looking for something easy-to-use all-in-one app.

MyBackup pro or Titanium Backup

Personally I use Google for email/calendar/contacts so there is always a backup.
That said I also bought My Backup Pro which is superb and not that expensive.
Kies
Titanium Pro
Google
jje
You can also try the MyBackup app..
Will try MyBackup. Thanks.
GoContacts is a free app and allows export/import/backup of contacts.. it's pretty decent. Although Titanium Backup can do it all

Best backup app

Hey guys. Witch app does an automatic backup and restore of all my contacts and apps without me having to do it one by one?
Tks in advance
Phone: samsung galaxy SII
Rom: checkrom revohd v4
Kernel: Syiah 2.6.35.14
Titanium Pro for apps. You should be able to export your contacts to your external SD card (or SIM) from the contacts app included with whatever rom you're using.
I Use Mybackup Pro for all my SMS, MMS, call log. For contacts they are all stored with google overlords. Apps i use Titaniumbackup
For Contacts I just let it sync in Google's cloud. It syncs automatically and is fast.
For apps, Titanium Pro Backup
For ROM, nandroid backup in CWM recovery (Y)
You can do everything with a google account. Go to privacy and backup everything in settings. It auto installs from market. Pretty good.except sms
I agree with the majority of the above - Titanium (pro) for apps and Google for contacts.
Since the poster above mentioned SMS, I'll take this opportunity to push the BRILLIANT SMS Backup+. It creates a backup of all your SMS (stored and automatically when new ones come in) and saves them in a folder (label) in your gmail account. You can also restore them whenever you need, which is perfect for flashaholics.
Get. It. Now.

[Q] Is there any app to manage contacts, facebook join, backup, etc?

I searching for any app that can manage better the contacts, save pictures with high res, back-up (even the facebook synced contacts)... Anyone find one? thanks!
When you sign in to google account your contacts got synced.
So unless google looses your contacts, your contacts are backed up auto.
Same with Facebook, until Facebook looses them you have them also.
I don't know why people worry backing up contacts like crazy.
go backup =[free] (need root) fast and easy backup for system setting, contacts (all system settings) msgs and all apps with their data.
es manager =[free] (no root ) for app backup .
titanium backup =[free + paid] {need root} all system backup .
Titanium back-up ... Also needs root.

[Q] Tranferring personal data Samsung base to AOKP/AOSP and vice versa

Hey guys,
Basically exactly what the title says. How do I transfer my person data (i.e. text messages, contacts, memos) from a Samsung stock ROM (4.04) to a AOKP/SP ROM? When I've tried with titanium backup it hasn't worked because the apps aren't the same and so don't have compatible data storage systems.
I understand that my contacts can be sychned to my Google account and transferred like that but even so I would still like a more concret way and a way to transfer my other data (texts, call log etc).
Thanks.

For my text messages and call logs I use SMS Backup & Restore and Call Logs Backup & Restore. Both work and are available on the play store for free and I have never had any problems with them. For the contacts I just sync it to my google account, I have found that this is the easiest way to keep track of them.
If you want to use titanium backup to backup your texts and call log, use the option backup data to XML format.

[Q] Automatic App Data backup to the cloud, like iCloud?

I am looking for an app that will backup my App Data to the cloud, something like iCloud for iOS.
I don't want to backup whole apps, apk, just app data, so that in case of emergency, I can change device and restore, and i am as before.
Can somebody suggest apps?
I found DataSync, but it seems more oriented to app sync between android devices, and the automatic feature is only for pro version, if it works I can also buy it, but are there other solutions?
