well see here i found the zeam launcher is not in system/app its in data/app, may be this is the cause of need v1.2 first. i have tried to move all apps from data/app to system/app and make a zip file via winzip but installation aborted, again deleted validate file and make zip file but again installation aborted, just give it last try and make it independent just like your previous roms which are not dependent on any rom to be installed.
please that all we need. so any new user simply install it.

edit the zip file without uncompressing it.
I do that with 7-zip.
In 7-zip drag the apps in data/app to a folder on your pc.
them detele them in the zip.
navigate to system/app in the zip. drag the apps from your pc to system/app
thats all.
worked for me. I added too others app that i always use (autostart, TBackup), but not all of them work when doing this. i also deleted from system/app some apps that i dont like (talkback things...).

@tried last time but while installing google + or any thing from market or from sd card it just reboots.
well i will try to edit using 7 zip.

Ok, i think ill include zeam launcher, directly on system apps on next version, for avoid issues, like damaging rom on factory reset

Great to see a dedicated thread to CyaNoComb :>
I'm assuming that for now, this is just the same rom that you posted before on the joined thread? Also, have you taken a look at this: [SCRIPT] The Best RAM Optimization
Might be worth incorporating on future roms.
Cheers for everything so far and keep them coming:>

hello, I need some guidance about this rom.
I did this steps.
1- boot in cwm
2- factory reset
3- wipe cache
4- wipe dalvik
5- instal zip from sd > choose zip from sd > cyanocomb...
after that I reboot, then active wifi and begin to install appbrain from the market... it download but when begin the installation the phone froze reboot, and keep going bad - reflash doing the same 1 - 5 steps and again reboot when installing the appbrain.
can someone specify to me if I'm doing something bad or skipping any step? thanks
edit: not only appbrain.. any app froze the phone and make it unstable .w. I have activated something called signature verification in the cwm and I get and failed verification I'm going to redownload the rom.

You should try installing it over 1.2 that may fix your problem
BTW Thanks D4 for this AWESOME and fast rom!
I never have problems with it!
Looking forward for the next update
I heard you'll be implementing the honeycomb lockscreen
So thanks for everything and keep on the good work!

[THEME] X8 Black City - 2.1.1.A.0.6 | 2.1.1.C.0.0 - [UPDATE 06/30/11]

This is for STOCK ROM 2.1.1.A.0.6 | 2.1.1.C.0.0 USERS ONLY
I just wanna share this theme for few Stock ROM users out there.
What I've done was I copied some from doixahn's froyobread framework and others from black x8/ x8 gingerbread theme. I don't remember which is which.
Also I modded the notification icons on the modded Conversations.apk from somewhere I also don't remember.

[Q] Advice on new X10 Mini Pro configuration

Within the next few days I'm finally swapping my Xperia X1 for an Xperia X10 Mini Pro.
Been reading up on this forum for a few weeks now to decide which way to go.
Biggest dilemma was whether to go for stock or custom ROM and I think I'd best go for stock ROM for best stability.
This is what I'll think I'll do...
- Upgrade to latest firmware
- Root using SuperOneClick 1.9.5
- Install Link2SD to save internal storage
- Remove bloatware using Titanium Backup
- Use Zeam launcher 2.8.8
I think this is the best way for a stable, good performing phone or do you think going for an optimised Froyo rom is the better option?
Or are there better solutions for optimizing stock rom than the ones I mentioned above?
Froyo ftw or cm7 not stock batery is crap ui crap stock apps crap z4root crap superoneclick ftw cwm ftw
i would stay with stock for stability, root as you say for remove ops apps. custom roms are buggy and slow, also the SE UI displays the apps big enough for the small screen
Thanks for the replies... I think I will stay with latest stock ROM and use SuperOneClick instead of z4root.

imho minicm6 is a lot more performant than the stock rom. (it doesent hav crappy se services running in background). plus with minicm you can over/underclock your cpu and save battery + get a much smoother look and feel. and you can install lastest zeam from market (not possible with 2.1).
but if you have some shell+linux knowledge you can do alot just with adb, whitout use any apps like titaniumbackup..
With my previous (Windows Mobile) phones I immediately went for the lightest rom I could find, but then again, with WinMo you were allways assured you had the right hardware layer.
The Xperia X1 was great at everything except for the camera and making calls
I've searched but I can't find any stripped-to-the-bone standard 2.1 roms which should be easier than patching a new OS together from all kinds of sources like is being done right now.
But maybe I should just try a MiniCM Froyo and judge for myself
Tomorrow's my birthday and I can finally unwrap my Mini Pro
there are some wicked good stable froyo roms out there for mini pro really, definately worth trying over stock rom. (and can always make a backup and revert if you dont like it )
also if you're handy with 7-zip you can pretty much clear any app you won't need/use on the phone by removing it from the rom zip file's /system/app folder. just be carefull not to delete anything you won't know for certain what it does tho!
Happy birthday!!
I wouldnt stay on orginal rom , cyanocomb is much more stable

Try the (R)Evolution 1.3, it's stable as stock and got a userfriendly ui
After considering the options I fanally went with stock 2.1.1.C.0.0
Used flashtool for root, removing unwanted apps, install JIT and XRecovery.
164MB free now.
next step: buy fast SDHC and install Link2SD.

Dosen't seem to work with stock 351.
You need to be on 2.3.x or greater for it to work, techinally it's from 2.3.4 but it's a hack to get it to work on 2.3-2.3.3

difficult questions need easy answers:
1)what it does
it enables audio and video
2)where it is
if you had google talk icon before you should search for a similar if not identical icon in your apps drawer, looks like a white circle with "talk" written inside. once found click on it and voila' you should now be "inside" the app.
if you have done all correctly, which im sure you did, you should see the proof of the successfull upgrade: a small greenish icon on the right hand side of your name, instead of the dot it should resemble a "videocamera"
please let all of us know how its going, your feedback is precious to us.
works great on DSC 0.63b ROM. Thanks for this app.

Hi,i am using DSC 0.66b rom; i have flashed the zip with streakmod recovery but nothing happens, tehere is not a Talk2 icon in app drawer, nothing changed. (also tried on 0.60b)

Should i remove the stock Talk.apk before flashing the Talk2 v 1.zip?
yes you should...
I checked the system/apk and i saw that there is not talk.apk in the folder but just talk2.apk is in it.

then check permissions, of both files, if you dont have a file explorer with root enabled then just use themanii files they work perfectly
I have already flashed the themanii flashable zip,and then when i check the system/app i saw just the Talk2.apk but i can't see it in the app drawer and i can't use the app.The original Talk.apk is not in the system/app.I check the permissions, everything seems ok.
Thanks and appreciation to those who made this available.
I can confirm that this works fine on the DSC 0.71 rom.
Great job!

As always, firstly good work and thanks.
Doubt: You mentioned you pushed some apps to /data/app. What changes with that?

Will that make the phone faster? If so, can I push large size apps from /system/app to /data/app directly in volks ROM itself?

Yep, No u can't push any file from system to data!
The ones which I have pushed are max!
And just flash my Mod on Volk204's CM11 it will do its job!
Hey first of all thanks for this lighter ROM. But I have a problem.. none of my phone contacts are displayed. and the reason is that it doesn't sync with my Google account. any solutions to this problem?
Remember that moving Apps to Data partition won't increase performance And we don't need to have a lighter system partition since it's big enough.
