I recently switched from ComROM 2.1 to CM7.
I prefer the stock fassy clock over the ASOP clock.
I understand that the stock fassy clock is TW based and requires "My Files" file manager.
Is it possible to install the stock fassy clock in CM7?
If not, what is a decent Clock application that has the following items?
a. Alarm
b. Stopwatch
c. Countdown Timer
Don't quote me on this, but I heard that a lot of the stock apps are TW based, and would therefore need a TW based ROM to run. I've tried a bunch of different things to get the stock clock back, and nothing's worked. I have the apk for it, but there's no way to get the installation to work and just shoving it into system/app doesn't do anything either.
Right now I'm getting by on a combination of Alarm Clock Plus (gentle wakeup, snooze, multiple alarms with customizable repeat settings, math puzzle dismiss) and Stopwatch & Timer. I can't find a suitable app that has all the features of the stock clock in one place.

Maybe I missed it somewhere but when I flashed the aosp rom I have now clock widget. If I long hold to add a widget all I get is the anolog clock. Is there a way to change that?
Also I have fancy widget pro will that work with this rom?
Okay from playing around with ROMs on my 4g (I haven't rooted my 3D yet), I have learned that I prefer AOSP rather than Sence. For now I just loaded ADW because I like the 5 icon dock. However there is one widget I REALLY like, the clock. I know there are a couple on the market that have the time and weather, but the thing I really liked about the HTC clock is that in addition to time and weather, it had alarms, timers and countdown timers. I know I can get an app for the alarms, timers and countdown, but I like the HTC and I like it being all in the one widget.
I guess what I am asking is, is there a way to get (through a similar app/widget or custom ROM) HTC clock working with a 5 icon dock bar?

No need to switch ROM's.
Sure download "fancy widgets" it has a clock widget just like the stock one then download "alarm clock extreme" and you will have all your features back. Although I think you can still use the htc clock app without the widget. I currently use no sense and ADW with fancy widgets and the stock clock.apk that came with the phone. Fancy widgets even let you assign an app to open when clicking on any of the sections of the widget. You can customize all kinds of visual stuff on it also. Hope this helps.
Just went to JB. The only complaint I have is the alarm....Has anyone made a APK from the blur alarm that will work on JB?
+1
What's wrong with the built in alarm? Unless you can't find it like I couldn't at first. LOL. Hit the clock app in the app drawer. Then there is "Set alarm" You can access it from there or just use Google Now to set one.
Sent from my Kindle Fire running CM10
There was an alarm clock named Blur Alarm in the GB and I think it was beautiful. It has a slide to dismiss function for example what I can't find any other third party app...
Timer
Has anyone been able to locate timer in the JB build. Seems to be missing from the stock clock app
Hi,
I'm looking for a clone or port of Samsungs alarm widget found on, for example, Note 2. It's a resizable 2x1 to 2x4 widget, that has 4 placeholders for 4 alarms of your choosing. The placeholders are 2x1 each, and if the widget is resized to less than 2x4, you can scroll the contents of the widget to view all alarms. If you tap a placeholder, you can choose among the defined alarms to put in that slot. I used to keep it at 2x1 all the time -- this way, if you have a heavily alarm-driven lifestyle, you have four of your favorite/important alarms handy in a space-saving 2x1 widget.
It seems that this would fit very well with the package described in the thread Ported Touchwiz Clock Package apk v2.4 working on ICS and JB but that package ports just about everything except the widget I'm looking for... Anyone got any other tips? It doesn't have to be a TouchWiz clone, but it should have the functionality of it as described.
Bump.
Looking for this as well. To my knowledge the widget requires the touchwiz framework, but not the launcher itself. If you have touchwiz + alarm installed you should be able to use it on a different launcher. Can anyone provide a link for touchwiz port that works on CM10.1/AOSP/AOKP based rom? Iv'e tried searching for one, i found a launcher port but it contains no clock / alarm port. Only the weather port.
Is it possible to install the Clock apk that the GS4 used in 4.3? The new 4.4 clock lacks several very nice features, including the ability to have location-aware alarms and to read a briefing instead of an alarm tone.
Thanks for your help!
