Is there any way to recover my contacts from the SIM card within the phone or through ADB? Someone pulled a stupid prank on me and deleted my SIM contacts.
I can't buy a SIM card reader, and i'd like to recover them as fast as possible. Any ideas?
Try this:
Press menu on contacts
Click import/export
Import from SIM card.

I have all my contacts in Outlook and I sync them over to my PPC phone. My question is can I somehow copy all my contacts in my PPC phone to my SIM card so if I were to ever to take my SIM out and use it in another phone I could have my contacts? Or do I have to put them all individually into my SIM card?
ctrl A marks them all at once like in normal windows
Hi, I just got my hero a few days ago.
Previously I had saved some SMS onto my SIM card on a SE handphone.
With the SMSes still in the SIM card, how can I read them from Hero?
Thanks
Open up messages.... press menu button... then settings. Third down the list is "Manage SIM card messages
I could not find the option in handcent sms, but manage to find it in the default message widget.

I am running Cyanogen mod and I can not figure out how to gain access to my sim card and delete contacts and text messages from it.
Is it possible and if so how do I do it?
Go into Message app, Press menu button, go into settings and click on "Manage SIM Card Messages"
From here you can delete your msg's saved on your SIM!
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda premium
Thats the problem, I don't have the "manage sim card" option in the settings. I can't find anything on the phone about getting to my sim card.
Goto Messages,Press Menu button>Settings then select Manage SIM Card Messages

Hi there, I am searching for an app that can keep a call log in its own database and not read the one off the phone.
My problem is that I have a 2in1 sim card and whenever I switch from one phone number to the other with the Sim Toolkit, the phone thinks that the sim changed and resets my call log.
Another problem it has (for which I dont really care) is that whenever I enter the Contacts app, it says, new sim detected, copy new contacts to phone? but thats nothing.
Thanks.
