Home keys not lighting up - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone else have problems with there home keys not lighting up from time to time ? Is there an option to mess with it ? I'm rooted running the stock debloated rom. I'm also aware of the sensor that triggers it on and off but that's not the problem. Thx
Edit* sorry posted in wrong section please move to q&a thx

Maybe this app can help you, but just to keep the lights off (all the time)
Now they stay off all the time I don't know why but the lights are acting kinda weird but I guess its not that big of a deal a reboot fixes it and keeps them off (maybe its for a more iphoney look) o.o?

Try pushing power + home button simultaneously (for 5 sec or something like that)
Turn on motion in settings and then swipe the edge of your palm from one side of the screen to the other.

power button + home button together
else turn on motion under setting > palm swipe to capture
then use your palm either swipe from left to right or right to left to take screen shot

Yeap... no crack there: he is right.
That combination has been the default method in stock ROMs since the days of the first Galaxy S, and even although the swype thing works in the S III, the PWR+HOME combo was kept.
Thank you all for answering

what i meant was that the navigation keys dont correspond to the built in hardware keys, meaning the back nav key is on top of search button, menu nav key on top of back button, recent nav key on top of menu button, only the home key is on top of home button... any solution ?

[Q] Wakelock?????

HI i dont know if its a wakelock or not i have an s2 when i turn off the screen and then after awhile i press the home key to turn on and nothing comes on and the screen feels warm.THen i hold down the power key for while about 5 secs or more and it reboots.can anyone please help me?
It's called Sleep Of Death. Probably you under/overvolt too much.
Wakelock is when your phone exits from deep sleep.

Usually you can take a CF root kernel, as it is based upon stock kernel, so if the sleep of death comes
from tweaks in the custom kernel previously installed, you won't suffer any more of it.
But as far as I know, some new stock kernels for new versions of Android are prone to this defect as well,
so you will only limit the occurences of this if you are installing 4.1 versions.
I don't remember it to have been present under GB (A2.3), if you value most stability over fanciness.

Button lights

Hello All, did a quick search of this device section with no luck. Is there a way to control the hardware button lights? I would like them off most of the time. The light sensor seems to think my vision is REALLY poor

I used the LEDs Hack app for my original incredible but it doesn't work for the Inc4g. If you're rooted, the Viper rom has this option in Venom Tweaks under the buttons tab. It's an awesome rom with tons of handy features!

I'm rooted, and loving being able to back up what I want to, but I'm on the stock ROM. I wonder if those tweaks can be broken out?
