Use it when you can't send sms because the rom you want to use doesn't support your baseband
If your baseband is 65 (X10a AT&T) and the rom's sms doesn't work for bb65 (most of the roms here I think), use this:
http://www.multiupload.com/9I4SOT26P9
If your baseband is non-65 and the rom's sms works only for bb65, use this:
http://www.multiupload.com/AV5KP3DCL9
Notes:
1. I tested only between 65/67 - not sure if old AT&T roms have this problem or not
2. The patch may not be supported by the dev of the rom. Do it at your own risk.
3. If it doesn't work for you, change your baseband to suit the rom and flash back the original (one of them should be same as the original)
4. bb patch is still required for roms that require different baseband as yours
5. This patch won't solve other problems that come with the rom
-------------------
Please hit Thanks if it helps you
man, you're awesome...
I remember .65 was probably the best as far as battery life goes for me, but the sms problem stopped me from being bale to use it.
I'm going to try this on wolfbreak's rom now
Hey buddy thanks for all your patches, i am using bb patch, led and fps on cm7, thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much, this really helps battery life wise.
You're one of the best devs on here imo, you always find awesome fixes that no one else bothers with. Your baseband patches are only one example..
Great work man
Really works! Now I can finally use an X10a baseband on my X10a phone!
Thank you!
Seriously man is there anything that you can't fix?

Hi Cobrato,
EDIT.. problem sorted, it was kernel testing that was the issue.
hmmm since this patch, dialer is now showing up under battery usage, and it never was before.

What if you flash this then decide to go to a diff baseband? Will it effect anything
It shouldn't due to most times when you flash a new bb it is best to due a fresh install.

hi guys
with the new baseband, i noticed that these are built for x10is, and from what i gathered the rogers update did not update the baseband?
if so is there any performance gains from moving to .61 or .67 for a x10a like mine?
.54 is working the best so far..
any other Aussie testers out there with feedback??
thanks
I cant even flash the new BB to my X10i but as soon as I do I'll let you know
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
i gave .61 a quick try before, but it doesn't seem to be better than .54
just want to know if ti's just me
I installed 2.1.B.0.1 lastnight with bb .67 on EW's V001 and it gave me nice d/l and u/l speed, (2200kbps/1500kbps) but this morning my data dropped in and out alot.
I flashed .54 and .58 and it wasn't as fast as it normally is (tested for about 1/2 hour) so it might of just been bad weather or heavy traffic.
Went back to .67 and it was the same as .54/.58 so I'll give it a day to see how it goes tonight and tomorrow.
*edit.... anyone know the APN settings for optus, i can't recieve mms
You have pm LJE.
thanks guys for the feedback
keep them coming
especially if there are other fellow x10a users out there
edit:AT&T update soon, good news for x10a
Finally flashed new bb to x10i and can definately feel a difference in battery life, touch screen responsiveness and less lag

So are you saying here that the AT&T branded firmware/baseband update would be recommended for Australian X10a users? Or just X10a in general and maybe not for us in Australia?
Cheers.
i think in general
but i do know that AT&T uses the same frequency as Telstra, hence there might be better performance compare to a more x10i centric baseband such as .61 or .67
i haven't had time to do speed test so far
i mainly use .65 now to stay compatible with Trip's ROMs

Well if they use the same frequency them I'd have to say that it would have to be best. (I'm actually on three but they use telstra network so out should be okay!)

I have x10 from virgin, but use 3. Have tried alot of diff.basebands nut .54 is the best. I use trip mui rom, 1.02 and 1.08

I heard that the shared frequently between three and telstra would be switch off next year as a apart of telstra building their 4g network
so yeah ... don't rely on it

What about performance? When I used it I wasn't very convinced of its performance

Just had a look at the light and paid and it states there is no difference between the two versions. The paid one is just to support the dev.
Yes it was me who made the mod. I think the thread is still knocking about but its outdated now with the newer firmwares.
When I get a spare hour I will look to do some for KH3 as I have just updated to that.
Could be but the free version works great for me.
BTW- I am still using your battery mod, on KF3. Won't they work on 2.3.4, to which I believe I'll be updating soon?

I haven't tried the old ones on 2.3.4. I just made one for 2.3.4 that I needed for now.
Once the firmware updates calm down I will make some more. Haven't got time to make them every week which is how the new firmwares seem to be dropping.

Because I've seen 4 different threads created for this Rom, and each one got closed or deleted because every dev who tries to fix it come to the same conclusion...
There isn't enough space in X8 system for these things to work.
If u were to look u would see that every thread about this Rom has comments from me saying "oh i can't wait for fully working version" But it always ends up the same.
If this got fixed I would use it as daily Rom... and I'm wishing the devs all my luck and hope for this to work. But as I said it is extremely unlikely.

As far as the thread, people have been able to get NFC tags working as well as Android Beam. So, I'd say most of the things are working except Google Wallet, which on one part, is the most important use for NFC for a lot of us, but that's AT&T's fault, so...
