Hes Just being an ass because this was discussed since the day the phone came out. turn the phone on and let the htc screen boot up and then hold Volume down and it takes you into safemode. nothing special doing that yet. but yup its already been posted.

oo well i did a search an nothing returned on the topic so i posted, sry. but i didnt do that to get into safe mode thats another thing my phone was on in my pocket the whole time, thats odd.

That is kind of weird. If you find it happening again just factory reset and it should go away.
My ''xDU4L C0R3 SH00T3Rx'' shot you down in 3D!

What does safe-mode do exactly?

Anyone know how i get into the bootloader screen to find out if my phone is S-Off? I tried the old method from the Evo by holding down volume and power at same time, but no luck....
TIA

You have to go to settings-->power and turn fast boot off. Then turn the phone off, then back on while holding power and volume down
Once you actually have a reason to go there, you'll know how to from here.

We don't even know IF we ever will be getting it. We can hope and we can try but there's absolutely no way to know at this point.

It is the software "switch" that allows custom kernals, radios, modems, etc. to be flashed. With S-On, we can only flash roms with basic "packaged" kernals, et Al.
With S-off, more, deeper modding can occur.

Maybe you shouldve stated it somewhere bro. This way when people try to help you out you dont get the same generic questions that always get asked or suggested. Instead of giving us a half assed write up of what happened and how your phone broke and help me help me then to top it off be an arrogant douchebag when someones trying to give you the help you need. Next time be a f*cking productive member of the community and search for the answer. Have a nice day good luck with your phone!

This is partly why I dont trust Gameloft, its really probably not the game at fault, I just dont like the way they do business. None of the relatively new games I bought will run unless i edit build.prop and the market lists as incompatible yet if you go to their mobile site THOSE SAME GAMES ARE BEING SOLD FOR THE LTE AND RUN PERFECTLY...sorry just had to
It may not be your fault at all, a lot of first batches had this problem. The phone shuts off like its going to reboot, and it hangs before anything can start up. I have a cousin who hates sprint so much he opened the phone and pulled the battery just to avoid making a trip and luckily it did restart but I really would not recommend that because its not guaranteed

Phone doesn't charge when off..

I remember reading that TWRP doesnt allow the phone to charge when it's off..? is this true?
To test, we turned the one x+ off and plugged it in.. the orange LED came on, but then got dim.. so I unplugged it.. and it never went out.
If I let my one x+ die, will i be able to recover?
Look for, download, then flash the stock recovery. It will now charge when off. Before u flash a new Rom just flash back the twrp recovery. After u flash new Rom, flash back the stock recovery.

what if the phone dies while i'm out and about, and when i get home... and plug in my phone.. will i have a brick?
whom can i email about this you reckon?

Your phone will not charge when off if your using TWRP.

ONLY on AT&T not the Inter one just dont let it die die
Omg this is nothing short of a deal breaker. If wifey let's her one x+ die while she's at work, it will become a brick?
Is anyone reading this?
Well this is good info to know. Maybe it should be a sticky for anyone who may be on the fence with flashing. I probably would of done it anyway but it definitely is good to know.
Any chance this will be fixed in the future?

Then sit down and build your own recovery. Otherwise flash the stock recovery on her one x+ and never worry about it. You only need TWRP when flashing a new rom.
I mean **** this is a problem.
Where to find stock recovery? We don't flash enough zips in recovery to justify the "gotta rush home phone is about to become a brick"

well this info is in the TWRP thread, this topic has been touched upon about 30times. if the pair of you are incapable of using the search button then not my problem! How about the pair of YOU contribute towards this, i DO NOT have the AT&T HOX+ only the international one. if it's a deal breaker oh well it happens.

Please note your question at the top is wrong. The device does charge while off. It has an issue coming on from a dead battery
I will upload stock at&t recovery and edit this post with a link shortly.

About the question being wrong: that is why it was a question, because I don't know what it will (or won't) do.
So you say.. If she's talking on the phone and it dies, it's a brick? It is still not clear.. And lloir came thru and flamed and didn't even set me straight about what it does and doesn't do.

99.9999% chance. I heard someone else say they got it to charge but it took 30 minutes and luck. There is a large chance they are wrong given the knowledge level of most XDA memebers he probably had an international version.

I mean understand why you say that, but read all of the info in the first two posts here and see if you would know going into flashing that recovery that if you are talking on the phone and it dies, you now have a brick..
Seems like that would be something to plaster at the top of the thread.
I mean i'm not being a hater, I appreciate Lloir wrote a recovery for the phone, but this is need to know info.
Is there a way to fix the recovery so that it does charge when off?
