is there away to become my battery strong ... more battery life
I tried ( Drain battery fix ) this is good but I want better than this way
Is there away better than this way ( Drain battery fix ) ?
Nope, that's about it apart from the usual tips, (GPS,Bluetooth, wifi, and data off except when needed) other then that the only other thing is to either buy a new battery or phone

Deactivate gps, bluetooth, wi-fi, Data transmision, reduse screen brightness and undervolt your phone. It worked for me! Hope I've helped!
My data is always on, but when i'm not actively using my connection I keep the phone on 2G. It seems to help improve battery life.
If youre using a MOD (ie CM6) for the X10 Mini,
make sure you use the shortcuts for the WiFi, Data etc. wich is located on the statusbar when you drag it down.
Myself, I have allways 3G Disabled, I disable data most of the times except when Im going to accept an MMS and go on the internet w\o WiFi.
But if you want to up your battery on your X10 Mini since the battery is really bad as standard, install the CM6 1.0.2 (I found this to be better battrywise compared to CM7, and the camera is properly working.)
and then download BatteryCalibration from the market (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration).
Drain your battery to 2-4%, charge it to 100% and then use the app.
Dont forget to use a task killer regulary.
I've used quite a few different task killers, but the best one by far for me is
"Advanced Task Killer". It really helps out.
Then you'll have a decent batterylife on the X10 Mini.

Thank you dmbardal. Battery calibration app looks good. I'm going to try it ;-)
We've had a full sized x10 running for 14 days and counting unplugged.
That is:
No apps, No data (airplane mode) no nothing, just sat there idleing away.

I don't know about drain battery fix, but you can try changing the stock battery, like they did here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857285&highlight=deji
I ordered one from Dinodirect. Waiting brazilian customs to work, so I can check it.

Buy a regular phone, cause almost all the smartphones have this problem.

Wanted to know if a particular ROM has better battery life than the others. Supposedly Gingerbread has battery life improvements; I'd like to know if it translates real world.

I've used 2.1, owains 2.2 & 2.3, slades 2.2 and 2.3.... and they are all pretty similar in battery usage.
Everything set to OFF (wifi, 3g, data, bluetooth, screen very low, no active widgets etc)... the best i could get was 5% battery use per HOUR... rising to 10%+ when having anything enabled.
After reading about iOS, WP7 and Android tracking and logging position data, i decided to turn off the basic 'use wireless networks' in location settings.
Now (using a Deji 3rd party battery -which reports as a 1200mah battery), I get 3+ days with the same settings. Roughly 1% per hour when idle now.
HTH
I think ginggerbread is much better for its battery life, you can make experiment with those roms anyway..

For me 2.1 uses more battery when the phone is idle than the 2.2 CM6 final...
when you use the phone, instead, 2.1 and CM6 final are the same.

Have a look in the Accessories forum, there's a thread there running about various batteries... the Deji is one of them (though it is labelled as 1500mah)
I've had Owain94's 2.2 and 2.3 ROMs installed and the 2.2 had the best battery life (both over the 2.1) ime.
I managed to get nearly 3 days out of my phone with all connections turned off (apart from standard phone).
I think that all roms on 2.x.x have better battery life then 1.5/1.6. This is what i experienced.
there's a rapid battery drainage in all custom roms compared to the latest sony ericsson stock rom if 3g is enabled
so far nobodyatall's/slade87's mini-cm based rom has the least battery drainage in full on mode, although don't expect it to last a whole day if you are using it a lot
Well, to be frank, i tried lots of roms (almost all of them) and i found best battery life on NaA MiniCM RC2 with hotfix..
With default frequency of mini (600MHz) and with SetCPU Profile for idle more ((screen off) profile to set frequency from 128MHz - 350MHz with 55% priority) i manage to get over 100 work hours with little usage of WiFi and Data Transfer, few hours of MP3 and around 1h of phone talk, around half and hour of playing games, with moderate usage of phone.
I think it's the same ****, just charge your device daily it's not a hard work

I have to agree anyway, the best i could get (that i was willing to get, i mean) was 1% usage every 3 hours, with miniCM 1.0.0 final, just by deactivating all peripherals, but leaving intrnet without 3g (2g seems enough to recieve and send mesagges in whatsapp, and it saves a lot of battery) . I have jit enabled, 122 to 710 clock and the default undervolt. When battery drains unexpectedly, i just analyze the apps running with system panel and see which one is using too much cpu time. If that is not enough, i use the "monitor apps" option. When i find the rogue app, i can only do one thing: uninstall it. So far, i've had to uninstall skype, tikl, tango, and a digital clock widget. The xda app burns my battery too, but only while using it. Fair enough

Hi,
I would like to gather some general thoughts about SK17i's battery life.
I got mine about 8 days ago, everything is good, but the battery life is really disappointing.
In a typical work day I have
- wifi - off
- bluetooth - on during driving, that amount to about 1.5 hours
- mobile network data enabled
- probably 1 hour on phone call, max
- email checked every 30min interval
- browsing - maybe 45min, max
- no task killer software installed
- rooted, build number 368
I unplugged the phone from charger at 7.30am, and now is 6.00pm, 11hours later, the batt is at 20%, about to start giving warning message already.
Is this the typical batt hour you guys get?
one more thing, mine is an Indonesia set so it comes with host of program that I cant use in Malaysia. I have uninstalled most of them, except this MoxierPro which I cant seem to get rid of. I also noticed the program "Games by pop cap" seems to be running actively in the background even though I never start it.
hope to get more input on this.
thanks

yeah its really disappointed but in my mini pro its gave me minimum 24 hours with all time edge+sync+50% brightness. not rooted. stock settings. you know one day i got 4 hours on 100% stats. will upload screenshot soon.
i think u didn't followed up intial instrucitons for battery life like first few days atleast 4 days keep it discharge 100%-4-5% even let it off and then charge again to 0%-100% again dischage same manner, do it atleast 4 times (means 4 days) but before that u need to formate completely and try again. hopes it helps you.
well after coming from x10 mini pro this mini pro really next to awesome. i love it too much. just some boltware apps need to remove. need some games if any have plz tell me.
I think some of the stock app killing the battery, plus the data connection is the most powerful battery drainer. Anyway, first get rooted and remove some of mind blowing stock app. If u can minimize the data connection and use wifi instead of it, that can help improve battery life. My mini pro lasts about 1 day 10hours with minimal data connection but always witb wifi turned on.

on x10, it's been the same. after deleting some crap, the standy time increased from 2 days -> 8 days. especially playnow, trackid, timeshift & facebook including their extensings and plugins are draining the battery a lot.
i suggest to have look in this 2 threads and check, whats "save to remove"

additional there is a very good and simply to setup app you could try:
GREEN POWER - (availible as free and paid version)

Yup I think that some of the stock app is the cause of massive decrease of battery life at night, or during idle. But I just dont know what apps that cause this.
I really want to remove it asap

well when its rooted then try to do a battery calibration
does it also have the BST-38 like the x10 mini pro?
You have to mention that because of the small design you can not expect that they implemented a more awesome battery that is small and has the same capacity like a battery of a large phone like the htc ones. otherwise such a awesome battery would have cost much more and would have made the price much more expensive.
As also the x10 mini pro has a lifetime of about one day I suggest it's the same here
Try turning of G3 and only use G2 if possible. otherwise we should wait until they ported cm7 to the mini pro where you can do this.
Nope, EP500 - 1200mAh, somewhat better talktime is promised in the specifications (5.5 hours) compared to old Mini Pro. But the device is still fresh, some customizations should improve battery life
Is there any high performance EP500 battery on market? like 2000mAh maybe?

Perhaps give time to cycle charge the battery several times (discharge fully, charge fully) so it will run optimal. The bloatware and the apps that keeps running on the background, uninstall them as they seem to be uninstallable. For the Popcap games, only way you can get rid of that is to have root and uninstall it. Since you mentioned you're rooted, take that useless crap out.
My unit is about to get a week old but I have very light usage and looks to me it can last best 3 days, so with normal usage will be definitely less than 2 days, which is like your experience. Anyway, the full cycles I am still trying to do and squeeze out what the EP500 can muster.
This is the best choice I can find on an alternative battery
Code:
http://cgi.ebay.com/130561150352
Looks like has double the capacity, which I believe should at least provide more juice. Planning to buy, but we better see what the fully optimal EP500 can do first.
Also, I'd like to share that I use SetCPU to downclock the CPU when idle to 122.88Mhz. When the phone not rooted, the lowest clock speed is ~245Mhz. In general our phones are more idle/standby than in use, so half the clock speed reduction will be good for the battery. As a sidenote, I wonder why Xperia models are like this (lowest stock clock speeds ~245Mhz), whilst Samsung ones go as low as 100Mhz.

Sent from my SK17i using XDA App
I was on the same boat but you just need a bit of confidence. The SuperOneClick even the latest one will not work because the exploit is patched on the stock firmware. That's the reason why bootloader need be unlocked so you can flash the insecure boot.img kernel (opens the exploit), which will enable the SuperOneClick to root the phone.
If you're bothered about the unlock bootloader, that can easily be relocked again following the same process, and you're back to stock.
yes i am trying to understand the rooting process to uninstall apps that is killing the 1200 battery.
you can force stop it but once you use the app again you have to force stop it again, and that can get old quick.

that's the way android works. when you start an app it will remain there unless its programmed to terminate on quit or disable (ie. juicedefender) or have an exit option (ie. opera mobile). they say it has intelligent process management which keeps things in RAM so its instant when you relaunch, and if it needs the memory it will kill useless or sleeping processes.
there's this program "autostarts" (needs root) which you can set to disable apps to start on triggers (ie. after phone startup, or when connectivity state changes), and i use that to ensure that apps that i rarely use but still need in the phone, do not start unless i start them, thereby i save RAM. for instance, i disable TitaniumBackup, because there's no point its running unless i need to backup/restore apps.
I have a disabled data, the 23 hours off wifi, bluetooth every 2 days one hour, the screen brightness to 50%, and the unchecked bravia engine, 12 hours. Generic rom installed, uninstalled all possible programs.
The battery lasts very little.
to see if we can CM7, sure but the battery lasts.

If you want an app which will schedule your connectivity like WiFi, 3G, Packet Data and GPS etc then you could use it, but if you think it saves juice and produce good battery backup then NO, it drains more than it saves, I know some users here who were fan of JD but ultimately stopped using it for battery saving. Now it's your turn to think on which boat you are.
Regards.
I'm using Juice Defender Ultimate and using Advanced profile. My last recharge lasted for 38 hours and still I had 15% battery left...and I'm on Lite'ning Rom 6.1...I'm not an expert...but seems like it's working.
For me its working great. I removed the blotwares from my phone (Hubs and all other useless things) and JD is working fine. I'm using the ultimate edition and very happy with it.
@ithehappy I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on everything bro
I too use Jd Ultimate, other than sometimes it stops working, it works great. I use it to overclock and control my cpu speed too. (with ninphetime kernel)
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
I don't like this kind of apps. I think Android does a good job with battery saving if everything matches well together.
Therefore search your
personal best modem.
personal best kernel.
personal best rom.
Add some smart tweaks.
And tada you will have a good battery life.
I have been using JD Ultimate for quite while with my old Desire & now my SGS2. On the SGS2 it displayed a number of problems:
- sometimes it lost its configuration data
- other times it would stop working completely
- the location feature where wifi was only enabled in the vicinity of known networks didn't work at all
- the feature where wifi was supposed to stay enabled when certain apps are a running didn't work
Just for fun I uninstalled JD a few days ago and my battery life seems quite a bit better than before. It took a few days to get into the habit of turning everything on and off manually. Mobile network and wifi are only turned on when needed.
Yes. I think it works. It's a good placebo anyways.
I use Tasker to automatically shut off the radio's when I'm sleeping. Works more reliably than JD's patchy on+off routine. Of course, you could just turn the phone right off as well.
I think JD does work, but I'm not sure if it's work the resulting inconsistant connectivity.
Removing bloatware (use CpuSPY and the Running services in the Applications settings to see what's sitting in the background) helps a LOT. Removing all of the useless Samsung UNA rubbish is a good start.
I've undervolted+underclocked mine to 800mhz, I can't notice any difference in usage, I'm not sure if it helps much or not, but I tend to get somewhere between 2%-3% per hour idle drain (the phone is in deep sleep so underclocking/volting is fairly irrelevant to this figure).
Whatever, the hardcore anti battery saving people might say it won't work. But I clearly see a huge improvement.
Running JD Ultimate saves me a lot of power. I easily get 2 days of usage (very personal, but it works for me - I use a lot of Spotify all day.. high volume )
It just works.. period. Turning off data and Wifi over time, included with other automated processes can't do much else than save battery.
Android doesn't need an app manager.
I voided my warranty and your mum.
I have it installed but only turn it on when needed. Ie if I'm out for a long day and my battery is getting low I'll turn it on. But otherwise I don't use it. I think it died help a little. But also there is the inbuilt power saving options in this phone that seem to work well too.
I use to use the app, and it did work for me, but I am no longer using it as I am now always close to a charger. when I need to conserve power (which is very rare) I turn off all data connections as I have found that this is my biggest source of battery drain.
The connection itself and apps updating in the background or when the phone is asleep, to add insult to injury, my data connection is very slow, causing the apps to keep the phone awake for a longer period to pull all the updates
Hello, I`m new to this forum and wanted to ask if anyone knows why my HTC Legend drains battery so fast. My phone is rooted with Fuse ROM and unlocked bootloader but it was draining battery on stock ROM too. Even with the screen of it drains ( in 8 hours with screen off it drains almost 10%). I have 3G connection on all the time and when I`m at home i don`t have full signal in the house so it may be a network problem that affects the battery?
a weak network signal may be one reason for the battery drain (since your phone has to use more power to send data).
however when there's always synchronisation & exchange of background data going on in the background, i think 10% battery down in 8 hours isn't way out of the ordinary.
maybe you'll get some clue, what components are causing the drain when you go to settings > about phone > battery info...
Best solution to stop battery drain is turn every thing off if you're not using it eg GPS, wifi, Bluetooth, mobile data, auto sync, if you have them on they will chew up power.
On a stock legend, HTC would seam to have the CPU speeds set at 480 low and 600 for high, if you root and set your lower value to lower than 480 that will also help in cyanogen lowest value is 245.76, this seams to be ok, on other roms they can go as low as 19, this is not so good as phone can sometimes freeze. I never go below 122.
sent from my legend, currently using extream legend fuseā¢
My HTC legend battery life is 2 days. But I enable internet access only when I want, same for gps
Have you tried to calibrate your battery after installing custom ROM? Try the free battery calibration app from the market.
I'm using "[ROM] B 0.8.4 based on stock HTC FroYo (04/13/2011)".
Using the stock speeds the battery drain is quite fast, I get a day at best. I'm running 245 - 804 and this makes the battery last days. I'll try down to 122 to get a tiny bit longer battery life

it is a common problem... as long as your phone signal is not dropping to completely zero that it goes for finding alternative networks its fine.. but if it is dropping blank .. try using airplane mode (ya no other option )
or else as a quick thing try below options
- try installing infolifes battery defender (tweak their ignore list if required). along with their advanced task killer (jst set for auto kill when screen off and not interval kill
- get a cpu governor (I was using cyanogenmod inbuilt one) and set in conservative a low-400mhz and high-600mhz
-turn off auto brightness if u've it on and use it in low as required
hope these should squeeze some more extra standby time..
I went back to a stock rom after putting up with the battery issues.
a friend told me that there's a .bat file that helps with the battery issue, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.
I also had freezing problems when I tried to adjust CPU settings, so my best option was to bake a rom through modaco without all the bloat crap.
Now it works a treat.. hope this helps
Bat files are for windows computers, not used on android....
However your friend might be talking about the "battery.stats" file deleting it is supposed to help "calibrate" your battery, I personally have not seen any benefit to battery life doing this. Once your phone goes flat (turns off) and you then fully charge it it seams to set the calibration automatically. The only way I can see it actually helping if your a phone user that never let's the phone go flat enough to turn its self off.

IMO, battery life isn't bad on the HTC Legend if we compare it to High End phones. But there are ways to save it.
Ceebs typing the whole thing so I might as well link it to you from a similar topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1586022
Cheers ranger.
I asked him about it, and it was a .bat file that is used through the adb and he didn't say where he got his information.
Removing the battery stats file can be done with an app from the play store, and that wasn't anywhere near as effective as the move from cyanogen 7 back to the baked stock HTC rom.

Hi there. I have an iphone4s and I'm quite happy with it, except for the fact that I hate Apple. So I want to move back to Android. Things that I like about the iphone is the mail app and. mostly, battery life (battery consumption when screen is locked is superb, and that is the phone status usually). I'm not going to use the phone for games, but for calls, whatsapp, twitter, g+, music (lots of music playing), some video and gps navigation. I would like to ask people for recommendations on a good terminal based on (most important to less important):
1.- Battery life (I give importance to battery life when idle)
2.- Fast processor
3.- Fast charging
4.- Support for external storage (microSD)
5.- Cyanogenmod compatible
6.- If possible, the terminal sould allow me to replace the battery
Please do not comment on things like switch off wifi when not browsing the web, or switch to 2G when not using 3G to improve battery life. I do not do that now and I have power for 36 straight hours with my iphone. I'm not looking for workarounds for bad battery life. I'm trying to have the same battery performance I have on my iphone on a phone with Android without switching things on and off.
Thanks so much for your help
Ignacio
The pimp my Rom scripts for Android devices works also good for battery improvement.
But all you need is the Samsung s3 dude. Root it and script it with PMR.
Just lose the freaking Apple dude, you will be fine XD

3.- Fast charging
4.- Support for external storage (microSD)
5.- Cyanogenmod compatible
6.- If possible, the terminal sould allow me to replace the battery
Please do not comment on things like switch off wifi when not browsing the web, or switch to 2G when not using 3G to improve battery life. I do not do that now and I have power for 36 straight hours with my iphone. I'm not looking for workarounds for bad battery life. I'm trying to have the same battery performance I have on my iphone on a phone with Android without switching things on and off.
Thanks so much for your help

Hello, welcome to droid! I'm surprised at your iPhone battery life. My friends 4S is always running out of juice.
Anyway, recommendations are hard as it also depends on your hand size and preference. I would say Samsung Galaxy S3 or Note II. They both allow battery removal and micro SD and have fast processors, I have an S3 and it charges fast. I currently use the SuperNexus ROM (cm10) and its excellent. For me the idle battery life is excellent, but much improved when rooted and using an app like Juice Defender Ultimate. This saves the faffing of turning WiFi on and off as it does it for you based on training with your nearby cell tower. The app saves juice from adjusting your CPU speed while idle too. There are quite a few features and once setup it does everything automatically, just pick your preferences first.
I use international version of the S3 btw. I'm going to say avoid HTC One X it has a smaller battery and no micro SD option.
Android is great for music playing. Not sure of the iPhones offering as far as equalizers but there are many choices on droid. I recommended the PowerAmp app.
Hope this helps you!
Funny, its excect the way around for me: hate Iphone, like Apple.
Thank you so much for your answers. I will probably go with the SGS3 or the Note II. My brother has a spare SGS2 that I'm going to test with cm10. I know battery is quite worse than SGS3, so if I'm happy with the SGS2 I will be definitely happy with either of the other.

If battery life is important for you, you might also look at an extended battery.
Seidio offers a 3500mAh unit for the S3 (stock is 2100mAh, so it's more than half-again as large). It does add a bit of bulk though and will prevent you from using any case except their cases.
Good luck in getting 36hrs out of any Android phone (with no power management regime) - it just isn't going to happen. Except for maybe a Razr Maxx or Note 2.
Just bought a s3 ,and im pretty happy with it ,just leave you time to understand your phone ...

Like I suggested before. If you need battery life to the max, you should install the Pimp My Rom Scripts. Only thing you need it's a init.d script supported Rom and root. Try it on the sgs2... you will see for yourself.

He said screen is off most the time. I get 4 days out if my defy if it's mostly on standby. 2 days easy with normal usage, and that's only a 1500mah battery. I get a 16 hours on my amaze with 2.5 hours of screen time and syncing email every 5 mins. The screen is the battery hog on the amaze. Also to the op. I know you said no turning WiFi off, but I have an app. Smart WiFi enabler. It automatically turns your WiFi off and on based on location and does save battery without sacrificing being in WiFi when you want to be.
