Easy Tether
This is a wired tether and I am very happy with it till we get full root.
This is the pro version which allows access to Secure sites like your gmail account. The free version does not allow access to gmail, ect.
I have been using the free version at work for my MBA, works great.

EDIT:Got it working now.
You can use the Barnacle Wifi Tether app (Google it) and install it to your phone. You must be rooted in order to do this. Works great for me

I was trying to get it but AT&T blocks it from the Market and anytime I look it up and try to download it I, it links me right back to the Market where it can't be found.....
If you want to use Barnacle do a google search for an app called either MarketEnabler or MarketAccess. Both of these will trick the phone into thinking it's on a different network when opening the Market.
AT&T notoriously blocks many market apps. I changed my settings to T-Mobile's (after backing up mine, of course) using MarketAccess and went into the Market and was able to download Barnacle. Then just go back to MarketAccess (or MarketEnabler) and revert back to the AT&T settings...
Trying to install some paid apps from Appbrain. I've been able to successfully install and update FREE apps from there, but I can't get any paid apps to install.
I can get my 1.1 (Autonooter 3.0) NC to connect with Appbrain and see that I have paid apps to install, but when trying to do the install, the screen changes for a moment and then flips back.
Sadly, Appbrain's site doesn't seem to have any support links.
I sign onto Appbrain with my google account. I suspect that Appbrain doesn't have the ability to reach the credit card info at members' Google Checkout accounts.
RE: Paid apps
yea, it isn't possible to get paid apps from appbrain .you have to get paid apps from the marketplace.
Is there an app or mod to allow Wifi downloads over 3g/4G? I want to get the amazon free app of the day but I'm nowhere near Wifi.
Any and all information is greatly appreciated!

Ummmm
Wat
Did you turn off wifi then try to download? Shouldn't need an app...
You mean the "wifi connection required" message in the amazon app store?
I don't know of a way to bypass that. You would probably need a hacked copy of the Amazon app store. I use my phone as a wifi hotspot for my wife's iPhone when she wants to download a 25MB app.
Or maybe its controlled by the app developer, the same title is free on the Play Store and is marked as wifi download only, and its only 26MB. I want to say I've downloaded bigger than that before on 3G.

Something like Cydia's app? I've been wondering the same.
yeah amazon app store is stupid and requires WIFI to download anything over 20mb's =(. I wish they didn't do this.
On Android market it only "recommends" WIFI but at least it doesn't enforce like amazon/iphone.
I'ved looked for solutions and have yet to find any =(. All in All, amazon appstore fails. Apps are so far out of date most of the time.
There was a 3D game pre-instslled on my Thrill. When you open it and go to play it you got a message that you need to download the rest of the game, about 400MB. They forced wifi as the only option, and the download would cancel (not pause, actually cancel and delete the partial amount you did get) if you turned off the screen. Just one of the many fails to throw at the Thrill.
It would be nice if the Amazon app store just gave you a warning, or an option to enable it. Like the notification options that just changed. It would also be cool if there was a widget you could use to trick the system into thinking your data connection was wifi.

The only problem I am having is logging into my amazon app store through the programs app. I can login to the Amazon mp3 app fine. Also can login to webpage for amazon app Page... JUST not the app login. Frustrating because apps I bought through them require the functional login to be correct.
Anyone know of a solution?
I am running rooted, verizon version of artic. Just updated to 2.3.3. Just to point out, 2.3.1 also failed similar fashion.
Oh and bluetoith doesn't reboot device... So things are looking good. Who ever is working on this tonight, nice job!
How do I make McDonald's work with my phone? Google pay works, but I can't get McDonald's to work
To successfully run the McDonald's app your phone's Android must NOT be rooted.
Download and install the app from here:

Download the McDonald’s App to have all the offers in the palm of your hand!
