Hi all,
Ever since I bought my S2 I couldn't help but not notice that frame rate occasionally dips down to what appears to be something like 10 fps. It's really annoying.
This happens regardless of me recording in 720p or 1080p or if I reboot the phone and stop most running apps and services.
Just want to know if anybody else has this too.
Sent from my GT-I9100
I wonder the same thing. Anyone got any ideas?
Kinda glad to hear I'm not alone on this. Can anybody else confirm whether they get it or not.

i have the same problem, occurs in 720p and 1080p under low light situation
If dial down the exposure compensation to -2, the problem will go away.
Not sure got any solution for this in future firmware upgrade as it is very annoying
same problem here with stock rom, no idea ?

I'm having weird issues with video recording. If I start filming in bright light, the frame rate is abysmal (about 2 fps). In normal room lighting there is no problem and the frame rate is good enough.
The weird part is that if I start recording in the room light and step out side to very bright day light, the frame rate stays good. And if I start in bright light with bad fps it stays bad no matter the lighting.
Anyone else having this issue?
edit: my phone is stock and is running OS version 7.10.7740.16
Hmmm, my phone has the same configuration as yours: Stock rom and everything. I tried what you said, recording from bright light to room & vice versa, but my transitions seem to be smooth with no lags :/ I believe your camera is on it's default settings?
When in camera mode, try panning the camera from bright light to dim & vice versa, see if there are any lags of choppiness in between the transition. If there isn't, there shouldn't be any problems. If there is, I'm not sure what's causing it.
Does anyone here has had this issue as well?
I've tried to do just like you told and I have some example videos but I can't link to them as I'm new member (joined 2008, never written anything before
Couple a days I did some filming outside and I had to start recording by covering the lens with my finger every time to get normal fps. This way it works fine and I get good quality.
I don't know if it has something to do with that there's really bright outside during day because all the snow here but I can also replicate the problem by pointing camera to my monitor.
This is new issue for me too as it was working fine untill now.
btw. It seems to work fine if I use VGA quality.
I just hope I don't have to reset my phone.
Hmmm, I guess no else has had this problem. But this is a really unique one since VGA works, there's no reason why 720p isn't working. Perhaps bringing the phone to the service center might be of help? :/

Hi joaquim! Dont feel lonely, i also have this problem on my mozart phone. I've made a search on youtube, and i also noted that there are several users with the same problem.
I also have another problem, it gets difficult to change from the phone mode to video mode. Every time i press the cam icon to change the mode to video, i hear some clicks inside the phone and the imagem starts to focus. I have to click several times until i can change the mode.
Also, i see no solution for this
your not alone i have this problem too and it happened on my stock rom and even now on the latest custom rom that i installed. I have not tried the finger trick though.
I also tried doing some searching and the only thing i found pointed at possible sd card issues...i have swapped out the deafault 8gb sdcard for a 16gb one and they state that if it is not class 5/6 then it could be too slow writing 720p data.
but like you i have no problem recording 720p indoors just outside or in bright light....
I have noticed that this only occurs in 720p mode, in VGA mode works fine though
Hi,
i was wondering if anyone else is facing some graphic bugs like blinking objects while playing wind up knight? A friend of mine has the htc one s and he hasnt these bugs. I also recognized that these bugs slow down the game performance and make my phone heat up. anyone an idea? im on phenomenal kernel but i also tried siyah kernel and nothing changed.
Cheers
Objects in the background in the distance flicker, but the game runs perfectly on mine, and doesn't heat up.
Maybe the slow down or over heating on yours is rom related?

It runs good on mine too, but on levels where are many of these flickering objects, the game slows down..
can anyone on stock fw tell if it works there? Especially Book 2 Level 7.
Hey guys,
Sometimes when I launch my camera, it makes a loud buzzing noise and has trouble focusing. It seems like something is getting in the way of the lens not allowing it to move freely. If I shake really quickly it usually stops and works like it should. I don't know if it's a lens issue or am issue with the OIS. Has anyone else had this issue and if so have you found a solution? This is my second S6 Edge. The first one succumbed to the auto rotate bug. Thanks for your time.
Camera buzzes continuously. when camera app opened

I was facing the same issue from the past 3-4 days. It starts buzzing (not all the time, but frequent enough to get me mad) when you open the camera app, and might stop the buzing if you try to focus manually.
I went to Samsung service center yesterday, and they did confirm it was a fault camera hardware (don't know the much details yet). They ordered new camera hardware and expected delivery date by tomorrow.
Hoping, the new camera module be with out any issues.
To any one, i have been using the phone for the past ~2 months, and saw this issue occurring in the past 3-4 days. Is any one facing the same issue?
Maybe i will send an e-mail, and see whats happening with these Camera hardware...

Anyone else seeing stutter like this on their exynos? This cannot be normal. I have tested several snapdragon S9s and dont see anything like this. This is really bad. Happens every time and it was a cold morning and the phone was asleep all night so it cannot be overheating. Restarting the phone doesnt help.
Not sure if you have the same problem but I also had some stutter when panning. One thing I noticed when video stabilisation was disabled, I didn't have this issue. Now I know it's the combination between video stabilisation and resolution set to WQHD. When filming in FHD I don't had the issue.
Now I'm on new firmware and don't have any stuttering with WQHD and video stabilisation.
Im on the latest firmware. I have stabilization turned off. I dont see the same issue with the US version. Im wondering if this is an exynos performance issue.

Which firmware are you on?
Hello!
I'm facing a really weird problem on my Samsung Galaxy M33 5G, on games it seem that every 2 seconds or so the game lags a bit then just goes back to 60fps, it's weird because in game where the quality is low this doesn't happen, it only happens when there are some shadows and the quality is a bit good.
I have tried playing Sky Children of Light and I have the same problem, 60fps and stutters every 2 seconds, it doesn't matter if I'm moving or not, it just keeps doing that.
I have searched about it and some people say it's about the Game Optimizing Service and Game Booster, I have tried to change the settings for it, but the problem is always there.
I have attached a picture of the problem using GPUWatch, as you can see it fluctuates every 2 seconds or so.
Can you guys tell me anything that would help me fix this problem? Thank you!

Sorry, bad phone
There is no fix, only threads like this.
Except that's completely wrong.
My phone doesn't heat up, as I said in the post, it just stutters every couple seconds, I have removed Game Booster using ADB and it's working perfectly now, thank you!
