Has anyone gotten handsfree/phone audio audio to work? I can
get media audio to plan just fine. The problem is when I try
something like a sip phone. As far as I can tell in this mode
neither audio in or out work. I thought skype was working, but
it just works as a media device which means it was using
the headset out and using the build it microphone. That obviously
has issues when the tablet isn't real close. Oh, I'm running
FlashBack, I use to run BOS, that didn't handle phone audio
either.
Thanks

I got in on the Samsung WEP470 deal at NewEgg to use with my G Tab. But in testing it, I've noticed that it will pair, no worries, but it won't connect.
My goal is to use it to replace the rubbish internal mic for skype calls when my daughter is traveling.
Any ideas? Does anyone have a BT earpiece that does connect and can work for calling?
Thanks!

I have Motorola S7HD stereo bluetooth headset and it pairs and works great with my G Tab running latest TnT Lite. I use them to listen to pandora, and watch tv/movies from my media server using plugplayer. I haven't tested yet for video conferencing, but it should work for that too. I'm too lazy to convert my Skype friends to oovoo or whatever it is, I'm hoping Skype will just finally add video to Android Skype soon.
Good luck.

Only A2DP Bluetooth
I have a Plantronics Blackbeat 903 which also works perfect for listening (through A2DP), but that's all I've been able to achieve. I mean, I can not make it work as audio input, just output. I guess g tab doesn't have the hands-free (HFP), or headset (HSP) Bluetooth profiles required to do that. So, even though I have Skype installed and I can make calls and listen via bluetooth, the built-in mic is still being used during the call instead of the Bluetooth headeset mic.
I've been googling around and still have found nothing about whether that functionality can be enabled. If you guys find something, let me know.
Anyone have BT headset/microphone combo that works?

I have a Rocketfish RF-MAB2 stereo headset that works for audio output but not microphone input (works ok on my blackberry tour). Just tried Sipdroid and while I could hear fine, audio was definitely going through the microphone on the G-Tablet ("sounds like you are under-water").
Bummer. I would like to be able to hear and talk through this set of headphone/microphone. My Emerson EM227 will pair but not connect. Is this an issue where the proper bluetooth stack isn't present?
My Motorola H17 pairs and connects to my TP but there's no sound when playing music or audio. It works fine with my Optimus V phone using the BT-Mono app to redirect the sound out to the headset. I've tried BT-Mono which appears to function correctly (no errors etc), but when I switch it over no audio through the H17 although the tablet speaker is muted as it should be.
Is there something else I need to do on the Prime to switch the sound over, is it an incompatibility issue with this headset, or is there another app that would work? I've searched a bit and apparently others with BT headsets get them working with TP, but also found very little on the subject. Perhaps it's the lack of phone functionality with some headsets? I'd try another brand/model if I was sure it would work.
Thanks for any help.
Get audio manager from the market, there is both pay and free, pay attention to incall volume. It worked for me, seems incall volume is defaulted to zero at least in my case.

Is anyone facing issues getting sound to play from their bluetooth headset when paired with the Asus Transformer Prime? Have you been able to resolve it? I have been able to pair it without a problem but the sound doesn't stream. I'm on TW_9.4.2.15
So far, I've seen a few threads but no answers that have been confirmed. Any thoughts? Also, confirmation that this problem still exists would be helpful, thanks!
Bluetooth headset connects but can't stream audio
[Q] Bluetooth not working (not bad connection, it connects just doesnt do anything)?
Bluetooth Disappointment
Bluetooth headset and Transformer Prime (ICS)
inline mic or bt headset
I am now on Virtuous Prime, but also had this working previously on stock .15. I have Motorola S9-HD Bluetooth headphones working. I have also gotten music audio to stream to my Plantronics m155, so it does work, but can be a little fiddly.
Process that works for me is as follows (and I know there is no particular reason for any of this, but it is what works so I do it this way).
1. Start Google Music, hit play so music starts, then pause the music.
2. Turn on the headphones and let them pair to Bluetooth.
3. Settings->Bluetooth, go to the headphones and and make sure you have both the Phone Audio and Media audio profiles checked (this is where MOST times the issue is on my TFP)
4. Press play on your headphones.
Again, no rhyme or reason why, but it does work for me this way.
Cheers,
Peter
I have the Samsung HS3500 and HS3000 and both work fine for streaming audio out of the Prime.
In general I just have to turn on the Prime's bluetooth, then turn on the headset I want to use (they look for connections when turned on, so if the tablet's bluetooth isn't already on they won't connect) and it connects after a few seconds and works perfectly.
I don't know if I am just getting lucky with the Prime's bluetooth but I haven't had any problems streaming content from the internet such as Netflix and listening to it with my bluetooth headsets.
If you are looking to just listen to music and video on your Prime you could give the HS300 a try, it isn't expensive:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Stere...WK5E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330989035&sr=8-1
However if you want a bluetooth that is easy to use while driving I would suggest the:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Black..._1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1330989270&sr=1-2
Both can be used to listen through headphones (the 3500 requires you to use the included headphones, or listen through the included adapter). The HS3000 can also be used for calls, since there is a mic next to where the headphone plugs in, however the 3500 is easier to use while driving.
Thanks for the suggestions! pbrauer I tried your workaround, and it didn't work out, but I learned something... I have no media audio profile, only the phone profile. I have been doing more research on the matter and it looks like it could be incompatibility between mono earpiece/headsets and android in general.
My headset is an i.Tech Clip II mini 606 mono headset, and it doesn't appear to have a2dp technology. Looking at what's posted on other android forums unrelated to the Transformer Prime, some have tried software such as BTmono and SuperMonoFroyo to reroute the audio feed. Unfortunately, no dice... I'll keep researching to see if I can find any solution - if I find a solution elsewhere, I'll make sure to post back here so it can help others.
Almightywhacko, I'm going to try and struggle with this for a bit longer since I just got out of university and would prefer to stay away from getting further in debt, at least until I get a job. But once I get a job, and if this issue persists, I might go for one of those, thanks!
I have Transformer TF300T and I have problems with my two stereo bluetooth headsets (Dell and Jabra). Headphones pair with no problems, but then there is no sound. Sometimes reset (turning off/on) helps, I also tried to hard reset the tablet - this helped too, but only temporarily. After some time of listening, sound disappears. And these are my BT headsets that I use all the time with my mobile phone, without any problems.
I have also noticed, that when there is a problem with a Bluetooth headset sound, and I try to display film (using MX Player), film stops for a while every one second. It looks like there is a heavy process in the background, that makes the film perform bad. When I turn off the Bluetooth (or I have a luck, and there IS sound in my BT headset), film is displayed perfectly well.
TF300T has Bluetooth 3.0 on board, my headsets are BT 2.x. Could this be a problem? (o.k., I do know, that BT 3.0 is compatible with 2.x, but still, this is life, and who knows ?)
Bluetooth Headset Not Working on Prime

SO GLAD to hear I'm not the only one with this problem! To date the best answer anyone can give me is: "not all brands of Bluetooth Headsets work on the Transformer Prime"- what???
My Jawbone Icon didn't work & I had it a year before I bought the TP. Somehow I lost the Icon so I bought the newer Jawbone Era, and it doesn't work either. It pairs just fine & I can hear sound but when using Google Voice /Talk, I can't speak into the BT mid and be heard.
Really sucks! My 2 year old Droid 2 phone has no problem with either BT headset. Very frustrating not to know why they don't work??
I use my MotoCardock Alot and find issues with CM7 Based Rom (Mainly Use Neutrino) .
Audio Output in calls/media player needs the phone redocking all the time to use the usb audio output and not the Atrixspeaker. CM9 Seems to do the same but only needs a redock if a call comes in while playing music. Anyone incountered this problem???
I switched on the Dock Insertion sound and when i orginally dock it it works fine and the notification works on my car speakers.
I am seeing the same thing. I was running stock or blur based for a while and am now running CM7.2. The CM7 car dock app will not play anything out the USB/wired audio output. The Car Dock Ultra will play out the wired output upon insertion, but a call hangup does not reset the audio to wired from bluetooth as you noted, it goes to the phone speaker.
If you use bluetooth (why?) for audio playback, it does return to the last audio playing.
It is annoying.

Why? Because some of us don't have aux inputs on our car radios, so we use hands-free Bluetooth devices with an FM transmitter to play music from the Atrix over an FM channel. Works just fine.
Hello All,
I have just purchased the Jawbone Jambox. Very nice bit of kit and the sound is great.
When I pair with my laptop, it works no problem outputting the sound from Spotify or Movies etc.
When I try and play music from my handset, it just comes out the handsets speakers even though it is paired. The same for games and video.
I have an HTC Desire with Cyanogen 7 installed.
The Jambox has a built in mic and works fine when paired as a hands free setup. I hear the phone ringing from the speakers so that proves it is working.
The Question????????????
I have done a bit of reading and have found some posts talking about on the iPhone, you can set what the phone outputs the sound to. ie. The Jambox rather than the builtin speaker.
I have not been able to find anything like that for the ROM I am using or even mention of it for other Android handsets.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Am I stuck with plugging it in or will another ROM solve the issue.
Thanks for your help in advance.....
Have you tried looking under the settings of the Jawbone Jambox? It should be located under the Bluetooth settings, then options of the Jambox. There should be two types of audio that can be directed. One is Phone audio, and the other is Media audio. Make sure the Media audio box is checked. I own one myself and have had no issues connecting. If all else fails, you might have to try another ROM.
Good luck.
