I know I may get **** for this but I haven't found a thread that really delves into how to setup QPST from top to bottom. So I decided I'd make one.
HOW TO SETUP QPST FOR USE WITH YOUR PHONE
You can use QPST to do an array of things, most commonly on XDA though it is for Changing the Carrier Banner of your phone and tweaking the speaker of the phone to make it louder
The whole process should take under 10 Minutes.
disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone.
Make sure your phone is plugged in, has debugging ON for the whole tutorial.
1. Temp Root yourself using whichever method you prefer ( I use this one)
2. Get your MSL using MSL Reader from the Market (free) OR Call Sprint to get your MSL OR Get your MSL using CDMA Workshop (which I will not go into as It is a different subject and not as easy as the aforementioned)
3. Get QPST and install it from here
Put your phone in diagnostic mode by punching in ##3424# in the dialer through out the whole rest tutorial, if it goes out of diag mode, just put it back into it by going to Dailer and punching in ##3423#
4. Download HTC Diag Drivers Both 32and 64 are in the zip
5. Install the QPST Drivers for your system (32bit or 64bit)
- A. Go into Device manager (from control panel)
- B. Find HTC Diag or HTC Diag Modem (along those lines)
- C. Right Click it and select update driver
- D. Select Browse computer for driver software
- E. Browse to the folder containing the drivers your downloaded in step 4 and then select the folder for your Windows version (32/64, if you don't know go to my computer and select properties)
- F. Click Next, it will install your drivers
6. Once your drivers are installed your device should be recognized and read as HTC Diagnostic Interface, followed by the port it is located on. For me it was COM5.
7. Open "QPST Configuration" by Start>All Proggrams>QPST>QPST Configuration
- A. Select "Add New Port"
- B. Input whatever port your phone is connected to (eg. "COM5" as mine was, without the quotes) in both the port, and label boxes.
- C. DESELECT The "Show Serial and USB/QC Diagnostic Ports only"
- D. Click OK
8. You should see the new added port and its state as ENABLED, if it is there, continue
9. Close the QPST Configuration windows now and now you can use your phone with QPST.

No problem, that was my whole reasoning for the thread in the first place
PS: love the nyan cat man
Heh, been using QPST since about 2005 and my old Samsung sph-a900.
It's easy.
Just be sure you load ALL the drivers for the phone (there are 3 or 4 depending on 32 or 64 bit).
You'll have to force feed them since they are not signed.
That means you'll probably have to load one at a time.

Yeah, it's easy for us, but many others consider anything beyond point and click or 1 click type things hard, so this is for them and the many newbies coming into the forum
Am i the only one having trouble with QPST finding my phone?
I've got the HTC Diag drivers installed successfully (Win7 x64).
The COM port in device manager is showing COM3.
I have my MRL and ive tried to go in View Mode and Edit Mode after typing ##(MRL)#
I added COM3 and it is showing as a USB link (which is correct).
But QPST is still saying No Phone.

I think you mean MSL, and you're doing it wrong.
you go into diag mode by pressing ##3424#, it is the same for all phones. After that go to Start>QPST>QPST Configuration, then click ADD PORT in the bottom left hand corner, for the port put "COM3" (without quotes) as the Port and Port Label, and make sure the Checkbox under it is UNCHECKED, I repeat UNCHECKED. Then click ok. Now you can close that windows and open Service Programming from Start>QPST>Service Programming
Make sure your phone is plugged in, debugging ON, and in DIAG mode (##3424#). From there you can continue on with my TUT above.
Well I can't seem to manage to get it to read either so I don't know I tired to see what com it was on to try and add it to make it see idk how to do this either I never had this much problems before and it claims u can do it without root so idk I'm lost plz help feeling like a noob

Do you have the MSL? If you're rooted just get the MSL reader from the market. If not call Sprint and they should give it to you.
It would help if you could tell me where exactly you get stuck and if any errors show and what are they (Screen Shots Help)

What exactly does it say? Are you able to get to the load from disc screen to browse for the files? Make sure you select the WHOLE folder when selecting the drivers, not just a single INF file, that way all the things in the folder get loaded.

c. Have Eris phone flashed for talk text and web (see above if you have not done this).
1. Unzip android sdk to a place where you can find it (the shorter the directory name the better as you will soon see. Mine is saved in C:\android
Also unzip the telephony.db into a folder where you can find it. Mine is saved in C:\android
2. In windows xp click start, then run, then type cmd and hit enter. In Vista or windows 7 click start and type cmd in the search and hit enter.
3. Navigate to the folder where you unzipped the Android SDK. If you are not familiar with the command prompt, I will make a list of the commands I enter in blue. The rest you see will be the text that will be generated by the command prompt: CD the directory of adb!!! ex. type cd hit space the drag the tools folder into cmd window. now you can adb push/adb pull etc.
4. Type the Following command
C:\android\tools>adb root
* daemon started successfully *
adbd is running as root
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Send the Modified telephony.db to the phone with the following command (keep in mind that you will need to substitute the directory I am using for the one where your telephony.db file is located
C:\android\tools> adb push c:\android\telephony.db /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db
85 KB/s (4096 bytes in 0.046s)
6. Unplug your Phone and hold the power button to turn it off. Turn it back on and there you go!
some roms arent allowing the telephony.db to work giving 245kb/s or any other like 130kb/s.
My advice is if you get one to work, do a Nandroid back up, so you will always have a working web browser and MMS.

Your instructions/title look exactly like Brandonharrison's post on howard forums, if you got the instructions from him it may be nice to give him credit Also you may want to change the words "Hero" to "eris" since this is an eris guide also you can skip the part about spc unlocking from CDMA WS, since the eris comes factory with spc of 000000.
Anyways if your tracking the thread on howard you can update the web portion, to what i posted to get full market and apps working, credit goes to the team at howard forums who worked on getting it working for the motodroid. i simply modified their work so that it would work on the eris.
As promised here is a zip file containing 2 flashable zips:
One will handle the OS side to get Web/MMS up and running
The other will only do the web portion (Some people don't have good luck with the MMS that i did)

so does the same process work for metro pcs and where can i get those files
Should work with any carrier so long as you know the proxy information and apn settings, in my zip you can modify the autostart.sh file and change the port numbers and ip addresses to match your carrier, then you can edit the apn to match your carriers settings as well and you should be good.
Im working on getting one for metro for you all, but i dont have all the info required and iv been busy with work, its really simple to do, i just haven't gotten around to it yet.

You don't need QPST, and it is in fact easier WITHOUT QPST
You don't need Windows Vista or Windows 7 (or windows at all).
Thank you for your contribution for this community.
I posted a thread for full functionality as well, with a different methodology.
And "flash" is a misnomer. All of the kids who think they're cool "flashing" phones to cricket don't even know what they're saying.
This phone can be all but fully PROGRAMMED for Cricket, and the "flashing" part is just to save you time transferring iptables to the phone.

Your little thread needs some help don't flame in my post.... if your going to create a flash solution. ..please edit it fully like I made an attempt to do. And not just say "follow instructions from HF" that was pretty wack!

Just open up your phone, then dial ##778 (call).
ALL of the settings you need to edit in QPST are available in your phone's built in program, EPST.

bigslanki,
No flaming intended. I was being serious when I said thank you for your contribution. All I've done is copied and pasted things from other sources that have worked for me as I've tried them. I should edit it more fully and maintain it better. Thank you for your suggestion.
I haven't used QPST since the days of ##778 on this phone, and I was only suggesting that less tech-savvy people, who may have trouble getting QPST working just right in Windows, might have an easier time without it.
All is well. Thank you, seriously, for your contribution.
What is the newest/easiest way?
Looks like alot of advancements have been made in the last 3 or 4 months to make the process easier. Is this thread still the best way to get an eris setup on Cricket with full functionality?
Please help out a noob! I've read so many posts, tried so may methods...I think I am SOOOOO close! But I just can't get the web/mms working.
Thanks!
Will this work for HTC Incredible? I seem to be stuck. *228 calls cricket but a voice says they can not program my phone. I have tried nearly ALL the prl files for cricket available on the link. I can call 611 from it also and speak to a csr but that was little/no help..
Please change this to hero thanks
Web on Eris
So if my Eris is already activated on Cricket with talk and text, will flashing for web (rooting etc..) de-activate my phone?

If you have a 3g indicator in the notification bar of your phone (as long as you have Mobile Network turned on - hold the power button, and turn it on, if it's not on already), then you're ready to flash the web/mms flash.
Flashing the web/mms flash or ANY kind of flash from Recovery will NOT affect your talk/text abilities whatsoever. It can only enhance the ability of your phone to do things.
I recommend flashing the Cricket v10 flash from token419's thread here, then using APN Backup & Restore to backup your APNs, modify them, then Restore them to make MMS work perfectly:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=730289
Let me know where you get stuck, if you get stuck.
Here's what I did, exactly, to get my ex-gf's working 100%
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7665352&postcount=135
thank you!
I also called a cricket store to ask this quistion, the guy mentioned that after today, cricket will launch there own google android phone, so anyone with a flashed android phone will have to pay the $60 Plan. any idea if this is true?

That's not true.
But if you go into the store, and ask for your Android phone to be on Cricket, then yes, you'll have to pay for the plan.
Otherwise, unless they're keeping inventory of customer provided equipment (which they never have before), you're fine.
In their notes they just have 'customer-provided equipment' listed, not HTC Droid Eris.
I wouldn't worry about it. My ex-gf has this going on, so we'll see. Sprint is $69.99 for a better/faster/more reliable network, so if Cricket does this, they might lose out to that, unless people really use the unlimited minutes.
Quick question. I am very new to the android unlocking scene but I have done a good amount of research. Step 1 of this guide shows us how to get text and talk working for cricket (and I'm assuming Metro as long as you load the Metro prl). What I want to know is Step 1 EXACTLY the same as getting MetroFlashed minus adding the esn to Metro's db?
The reason I want to know is because I got my phone MetroFlashed and set up data and mms. The next day I did a hard reset. Contrary to others beliefs doing so put me back on Verizon so I brought it back to be flashed again. Now I'm reading this and would like to know if Step 1 is all I need to do to get back on Metro in the event I need to do another hard reset for whatever reason.
I put this together using Fowenati and Slayer69 Guide for those looking to change there banner. Changed the links so they direct to the correct files. If you do not feel comfortable or don't know what you are doing please do not attempt this, and do not mess with anything other then what the directions state. HOW TO SETUP QPST FOR USE WITH YOUR PHONE: (CREDS TO FOWENATI, ORIG THREAD)
1. Get your MSL using MSL Reader from the Market (free) OR Call Sprint to get your MSL OR Get your MSL using CDMA Workshop (which I will not go into as It is a different subject and not as easy as the aforementioned)
2. Get QPST for EVO 4G LTE and install it from HERE (ALT LINK)
Put your phone in diagnostic mode by punching in ##3424# in the dialer through out the whole rest tutorial, if it goes out of diag mode, just put it back into it by going to Dailer and punching in ##3423#
3. Download HTC Diag Drivers Both 32and 64 are in the zip
4. Install the QPST Drivers for your system (32bit or 64bit) 64bit users having trouble installing and/setting up drivers, try this post HERE
- A. Go into Device manager (from control panel)
- B. Find HTC Diag or HTC Diag Modem (along those lines)
- C. Right Click it and select update driver
- D. Select Browse computer for driver software
- E. Browse to the folder containing the drivers your downloaded in step 4 and then select the folder for your Windows version (32/64, if you don't know go to my computer and select properties)
- F. Click Next, it will install your drivers
5. Once your drivers are installed your device should be recognized and read as HTC Diagnostic Interface, followed by the port it is located on. For me it was COM5.
6. Open "QPST Configuration" by Start>All Proggrams>QPST>QPST Configuration
- A. Select "Add New Port"
- B. Input whatever port your phone is connected to (eg. "COM5" as mine was, without the quotes) in both the port, and label boxes.
- C. DESELECT The "Show Serial and USB/QC Diagnostic Ports only"
- D. Click OK
7. You should see the new added port and its state as ENABLED, if it is there, continue
8. Close the QPST Configuration windows now and now you can use your phone with QPST.
To change the banner of your phone: (CREDS TO SLAYER69, ORIG THREAD)
1. open up Service Programming via Start>All Programs>QPST>Service Programming
2. You should see your phone and the port its connected to (make sure your phone is in diagnostic mode ##3424# )
3. Click ok, now you should see a window with many tabs
4. At the bottom of the window you should see a button called "Read From Phone" Click it.
5. Input your MSL now in the box that shows up. Click OK
6. Now all of your phones settings are in the program.
7. Now navigate to the "Display" Tab, You should see a Box next to the word Banner. This is where you will enter what you want your banner to be. (Don't use any special characters)
8. Once you have done that, click "Write to Phone", located next to the Read from phone button at the bottom of the window.
9. An Error may occur on QPST, just press ok
10. Your phone should reboot, and your changes will have been made and can be viewed in the lockscreen, or in the pull down bar.
To increase the volume of your phone: (CREDS TO T3PROJECT, ORIG THREAD)
1. open up Service Programming via Start>All Programs>QPST>Service Programming
7. Now Navigate to the "Sounds" tab, from here you can edit the loudness of your phone, I set mine to all 3s, although some have set theirs to 4. 1 is the quietest and 4 is the loudest. Your choice of what you want to input here.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BLOWN SPEAKERS
8. Once you've selected the options you want click "Write to Phone", located next to the Read from phone button at the bottom of the window.
9. Your phone should reboot, and your changes will have been made.

Nice you got it to work. I've been pulling my hair out trying to get the programs to recognize my phone. You should also be able to increased the speaker volumes with this method also. That's what I am trying use this for. I have tried everything...pc sees it but program will not. Only thing left I can think of is to try it on my XP machine.
It worked fine on my XP machine

Thanks man. Qpst can really mess the phone up if other settings are changed by accident or whatever so its always a good idea, after u read from phone, to save that read as a backup just in case. There's some other pretty neat stuff like adjusting the max volume of the external speaker, ringers etc... Great write up btw, thx

I cannot get the drivers to install. Running win 7 64bit. Shows as htcdiag in device manager and when i point to the driver folder windows tells me it could not find driver software. Any ideas?
Edit: I was able to get the drivers installed following the below process (credit here http://forum.androidcustomcreations...t/28-how-use-qpst-increase-volume-evo-3d.html) but now the device shows as htc usb modem and does not have a port associated with it so now im stuck at adding the port into qpst.
2. Extract contents to a location you will be able to browse to easily
3. Open Device Manager from the control panel.
4. Put your phone into diag mode so that the computer tries to load the HTC Diag Drivers.
5. Right click on HTC DIAG and select properties
6. Click the "Update Driver" button
7. Select "Browse my computer for driver software" option
8. Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" (VERY IMPORTANT, Don't use the browse button here)
9. Select "Show All Devices" from the list and click "Next"
10. Select "Have Disk" Button
11. Now click "Browse" Button and browse to were you extracted the above files....and find the HtcUsbMdmV64.inf file.
12. Select it and select Open.
13. Click OK.
14. In the window you should see HTC USB Modem, Select it and click "Next"
15. Select "Yes" should you get a popup
Driver will install and you should be good to go!!!
Edit 2: Did some more digging and found this tip. Go into the control panel and then device manager. Look for the HTC Modem. Right click on the modem and select properties. Select the "Advanced Tab" then "Advanced Port Settings" Button. Com port will be listed there. Continued to follow the guide after that and it worked perfectly!

So, I got a Zte Avid Plus z828 (t mobile no sim card) that has frp so basically i cant get pass the google account verification screen. I have found a way to get into the settings and enable developer mode without no otg method or apk methods. I simply used the text to speech method where i open the source for that and then open up google and search settings allowing me to access the settings and enable developer mode via build version.
Now here's the problem I can click backup and reset but when i actually click RESET PHONE nothing happens. I can keep on clicking it and nothing will happen it's a button thats just there. I want to enable USB debugging with hopes of using adb shell and wiping the phone that way but i can't even access the developer settings. I click on the developer settings and nothing happens its the same situation with the RESET PHONE option. Why is this occurring? Anyone have any advice as to how i can get around this? I've tried downloading apks that would open the developer settings but it opens for less then a second then instantly closes. I'm new here so i'm not even sure if this is where i was supposed to even post this, sorry if it wasn't the correct place to post this. if you need me to elaborate anymore just ask, i'll gladly do it.

Yeah I'll make a short guide I can try to post screenshots later but for now i'll try my best to guide you to the point where I am.
1. Go through the setup until you get to the google verifying part.
2. Open up your keyboard and hold down the comma to access the gear which will allow you to get into the google keyboard settings.
3. Once you're at the google keyboard settings go to Text Correction.
4. Then go to Personal Dictionary and select English (US) or whatever you have there.
5. Then click on the search button and just type random letters and hit search is what i did to get to this next step.
6.. You should be able to type in the letter "g" and you should see something called google voice typing
7. click that and go to Text-to-speech.
8. Then click the blue gear next to google text to speech
9. click install voice data
10. you should see 3 dots on the top right hand corner open that and click open source licenses
11. once you're at this part just simply hold a line down as if you were going to copy it.
12. you should see about 4 options on what you want to do with that line like copy or share it search it on the web.
13. what you want to do is click search, its the fourth option.
14. delete whatever is on the search and type in settings the option to access the settings should pop up on the bottom as a suggestion.
15. click that and now you're at the settings.
From here on i assume you know how to access the about phone and turn on developer settings but this is the problem you can turn it on but you cant access the developer menu you can just click it and nothing will happen. same for trying to reset the phone from the back up and reset menu.
if anybody knows what the case may be please let me know i'm constantly trying to find the solution to this whenever i have the free time but so far no solution has came up. i am able to download apks by instead of typing in settings on the google search i type in file manager and simply transfer over the apk through my pc onto the phone. that i can do without usb debugging becasue my pc picks the phone up as a portable device.
I fixed the zte avid plus z828 frp problem!

Hey, I would like to highly request the tutorial....
Furthermore, I'd like to say I've poured over these sort of sites, rephrased my questions, etcetc all trying to get the same things accomplished, getting past the google password, and yet you with your quick clearly stated actually step by step explanation were the one to get me the farthest in fixing this problem. :highfive:

He said he resolved problem but put no feedback so others can benefit, I really doubt he resolved the problem of bypassing or unlocking or rooting his phone, he probably slammed it on the floor and resolved the problem that way. We don't need people like that here. I will try it when I get a zte z828 from someone that has the same problem, I will post feedback if I am successful or not, so by July 15, 2016, I should now if it is possible.

On some ZTE phones (has worked on 1 but not another for me), you can use the emergency dialer to dial:
*983*987#
This will lead you directly into factory reset options (if it works).

Okay, I spent more time than i care to admit on getting through this frp. I have z3x and a few other utilities and i use them when i can, but i don't honestly lay hands on ZTE very often. Anyway, you do NOT need GC or any other box--
so following the last poster's steps (credit to yerhope):
9. click install voice data
10. you should see 3 dots on the top right hand corner open that and click open source licenses
11. once you're at this part just simply hold a line down as if you were going to copy it.

this is where he leaves off... and where i pick up.
14. Download "quickshortcut maker" apk to your computer (or copy from apk extractor on a phone or any other method..
15. Select z828 in my computer and copy quickshortcut maker to downloads
16. On the phone, after clicking the search button, clear the browser box and type in "file manager" - it will show up just below. select it
17. Go to downloads in the file manager and select quickshortcut maker
18. install the app, blah blah blah
19. Once in the app, search "google account" you will have several pop up
20. Select the one that says "email and password" when you do, it will ask for a password to an account you aren't sure of.
21. click menu on top right - Browser sign in is the option - click it
22. Sign in to your email and account
23. Once you are signed in, press and hold power for a soft reset (restart)
24. Proceed as usual to wifi page and BOOM!
25. Profit. not much though, cuz its still a ZTE.

Yerhopes solution worked for my zte lever
Follow yerhopes solution after step 15 while in settings go to backup and reset make sure back up data is off then factory reset erase Everything phone will reboot old owners info gone no need to download anything worked for 2 Zte levers i bought from ebay.
Bought a EE Jay Tablet (also a ZTE tablet) that had FRP enabled, easiest way I could do it was
1. connect to wifi, get to the previous account required screen.
2. open the keyboard and hold the @ symbol and open the keyboard settings.
3. top right corner press the 3 dots and choose help and type in apps in the search box.
4. access the app settings screen via the link from the help section then goto all and launch settings app
5. enable unknown sources in security and return to app settings screen and launch chrome this time or any browser.
6. goto http://rootjunkysdl.com/files/?dir=Apps and download this file com.sika524.android.quickshortcut.apk
7. you may get a download notification that the file has finished if not go back again to the app settings screen and all again and launch downloads app
8. you will now see the file download open it and install and then open the app
9. in the quick shortcut app search for google account and choose email and password and select try
10. now the google accounts manager has launched, in the top right corner press the 3 dots and choose browser sign-in
11. sign in with a google account and once done it will close and go back to the quick shortcut maker.
12. you still won't have access yet but all I done was reboot the device and continued the setup, this time there was no errors or required sign in and had full access.
Hope this helps someone, this was basically a copy of this video which may be helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKdVvBSIb0M

I used this method, personally, for zte Avid I believe. Yerhope's solution works for some firmwares prior to firmware i was on. i'm sorry, i do not recall that at this moment as it was some time ago. if Yerhope's solution is not effective for you, then progresss to my steps that pick up right where previous solution left off. so once again, YES, this worked on my device, did not test for others. my understanding is kingo can acquire root access in a special way as well that will allow you to adb clear frp. looking for commands? i do not have them sorry.
vcREG is a registry editor for lumia windows phones that has SYSTEM level access to the registry. the tool also has the ability to unlock all app capabilities for third party apps(interop unlock), and give SYSTEM level access to most of the filesystem through MTP.
new in version 1.7: thanks to @gus33000 for pointing out some registry values set for the interop unlock that may cause versions of rs1+ to break compatibility with WP8 apps. this has been fixed. For interop unlock, i suggest you use @gus33000 Interop Tools as his tool is more likely to have better support for changes in the future, as i am too bogged down with other projects.
thanks to @Wack0Distractor for sharing the idea and the acer service that makes this unlock for the X50 series phones possible. also thanks to @ngame for providing the test devices and the many hours of debugging, and @djamol for the main reason any of these unlocks are possible.
Instructions for X50 series phones like the 550,950/XL
ndtk_acer_services.zip uploaded below contains acer.service.acersystemservice.spkg, NdtkSvc.dll, and newndtksvc.dll.
1.Go to settings and turn on developer mode.
2a. For APPX version, download vcregUWP_1.7+dependencies.zip,unzip, install dependencies, then install the vcreg appx
2b. For XAP version, Sideload vcREG_1_7.xap using
WP8 xap deployer
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows Phone\v8.0\Tools\XAP Deployment\Xapdeploy.exe
or
WP Power Tools
https://wptools.codeplex.com/
3.Go to the app bar, then choose x50 series unlock. You will receive an error about the acer service not running. That's ok for now. Click step 1 and it will tell you to install the acer system service and copy some files. To install the acer system service, use iutool [rs and newer builds, this version is essential, old versions will probably not work] (can be found here. thanks @Wack0Distractor ).
run this command as administrator
iutool -v -p "path to the file acer.service.acersystemservice.spkg"
if you receive error 0x80070490, disconnect your phone from usb, go to control panel on your pc, devices and printers, find your windows phone and remove device. reconnect the usb to your phone, and after it reinstalls the drivers automatically, run iutool command above again.
if you receive error 0x8024a110, your phone should reboot to the gears UI in a minute. if not, run the command again. if it still doesnt auto reboot, manually reboot your phone. It should reboot into the gears UI, then back into the OS. if it still fails and doest show gears, give you phone a rest for 5-10 minutes and retry(usually needed after a new rom flash).
4.When you're back in the phone OS, copy newndtksvc.dll and ndtksvc.dll to your documents folder on your phone through USB
5.Go to the app bar, then choose x50 series unlock. You should no longer receive the error about the acer service. Now click step 2 and follow the rest of the instructions from the app.
6.If you've taken the silent extras/advanced+info update, or updated that app manually, be sure to choose the option "Restore NDTK 950/XL" in the "x50 series unlock" page and reboot to regain access to the elevated features. It basically means if it suddenly stops working, apply this setting.
Instructions for older devices
1.Go to settings and turn on developer mode.
2a. For APPX version, download vcregUWP_1.7+dependencies.zip,unzip, install dependencies, then install the vcreg appx
2b. For XAP version, Sideload vcREG_1_7.xap using

or

https://wptools.codeplex.com/
3.Go to the app bar, then choose classic unlock
3.If you've taken the silent extras+info update, or updated that app manually, be sure to choose the option "Restore NDTK" in the "classic unlock" page and reboot to regain access to the elevated features. It basically means if it suddenly stops working, apply this setting.

@G.moe, what kind of documentation are you looking for? Have you tried to press large gray buttons saying "CLICK TO SHOW CONTENT" at @vcfan post?
Or you are looking for the source code and hack method concept? Use reflector or any other .net disasms to get the app's sources
Thanks works fine.
I have trying MTP and now 950 XL charging only on PC.
Someone have original values in registry?

Guys in the video I recorded I tell do not try mtp hack it won't work also sftp doesn't work at least for me. If we can handle it at last we let you know.
Only concentrate on Interop and capability unlock and public registry hacks.
Also you can add work with gloves and double tap to your devices .
We are still working on many things to handle
i still try to get "gears" :crying:

Double check this registry value using CustomPFD
HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo
PhoneManufacturer
It must be in type (String) and it's value should be ACERINC to be able to deploy acer spkg.
If it's not you didn't do Step1 of VCreg correctly .
OK.
If you get 0x8024a110, you're probably on 14393 / anniversary update / Redstone1/whatever.
If so, you NEED to use iutool from the 14393 WDK. No ifs, no buts. Use that or you WILL get that error.
Here's a download of just the WP-tools (iutool, getdulogs, ffu creation etc etc) direct from MS: https://download.microsoft.com/down...5524A95/wdk/Installers/WP_CPTT_NT-x86-fre.msi
Mirrored it here just in case.
Works again for me.
I am stupid because "acer.service.acersystemservice.spkg" still installed after H.R.

OH Yes guys . Good to say
After Hard reset you do not need to do many reboots because our ndtksvc is place in system32 (it didn't gone)
So you only need to go to x50 series page and check Live interop/cap unlock and apply it . that's it .

installed and run iutool and now get gears!!!! thanks!!!
p.s.
interop is applied but.. still no use of AppDataManageTool or Adblock tool???
Great work!
Random question, probably a dumb one, but does this work on the M8FW? Or is it dependent on a x50 device exploit? Cause maybe I'm reading this wrong but it seems kinda universal
Thanks A lot!!!!
@dxdy
"Adblock tool" use "Nokia.SilentInstaller.Runtime" who seems not working on x50.

It's not intended for non-Microsoft/Nokia devices. NdtkSvc.dll is Nokia/Microsoft specific.....
